I want to thank you all for your consern and advise and caring banter durring my rads and I think I can honestly say now that my skin is just about healed...matter of fact ..I can hardly see my scars now....My lumpectomy scar is still visible but not as much ..I just have permi dent going on there...but my lymph node scar....seems to have disapeared....this is all good stuff and I have you all to thank for helping me thru...and I know you will be there for everything else down the road as well..thanks for being the women you are..Sweet, caring, conserned, funny , non judgemental ...just mental...love you goils.... LETS DRINK TO THAT!!

Cyn, That hotel was really awesome! I found a link and it shows some pics and talks about the history, really interesting. AND while we were there some girls were celebrating because one of them just passed the bar exam, so was going to be an attorney. SO she had a long curled white wig on (like men used to wear in court waaaaaay back when)....and she let my dad wear it, and I have a video of him with that white wig on, at the treasury hotel. Cyn, It really WAS waaaay cool. They let us explore underground by ourselves, got lots of pics. And each of our rooms had been someone importants office, or similar, with the brick walls, neat ceilings, etc. Ha, ha.....ok now I can picture you under the streets of Paris! Hope you might decide to go to Portugal too someday....its so awesome!

CynCyn--Yes, I got hammock time, listening to an audiobook on the iPod, watching the Silly Sadie running around, jumping in the wading pool, spinning around and jumping out, then running over next to me to shake off! Then she'd go under the deck and dig in the dirt to find a cool spot to lay down. Very muddy dog, good thing she kept getting in the pool and rinsing off! Forgot how many times I had to mop the kitchen floor. . . .
Mema--plenty of room in the pewl! Come on in! It's high time that the medical workers of the world remembered that they work for us, not the other way around. If you don't want an IV in your hand, say "NO" and don't' let it happen! Don't matter what the doc likes, he's working for YOU, not the other way around. And my remark to anyone who says I can't take a xanax before an IV start is "No sedation, no IV. End of story. I can take a xanax at home and be ready to go on your schedule, or you can give me something when I get here and wait for it to work. Your choice." We patients have got to remember that it's OUR body, not the docs'. What we say goes. Oh, dear, now I've gotten up on my soapbox again. 'Nuff of this, back into the pool for me!

We keep picking up $hit in our front yard....styrofoam cups, etc. They throw all sorts of trash behind their shrubs, which is next to our yard....can't see from street, so no way we can complain, or they would know it was us. SO everyday we see what other crud has flown, or rolled, into our yard (downhill from their driveway). Cheers!!!

NM speaking on coffee, I was watching, more like listening to the tele about a week ago while on the puter and I heard an add for a coffee machine........you know the ones, like you get in cafes. Well the deal was, if you bought a 3month supply of their coffee pods at a rate of 2per day they would loan you the machine for nix and the only condition was to keep buying the coffee. Well I thought, the price is right and I know the brand of coffee and it's good so why the hail not! I went online and filled out the order form, paid my money and thought it would be about two weeks before I saw delivery..............how wrong can one person be?.......exactly three days later I opened the back door and almost fell over this large package which was my new coffee machine and pods..........yahoo!!! Couldn't wait to connect it all up and get a good cup of coffee in my hand........it....is....yummmm!!!!!!! And a great deal to boot! I now have cafe style espresso coffee anytime I want.
Kathy it's a shame you can't report those neighbours and their bad habits. Hehe! you're wondering how I know and I haven't read your post yet coz I was composing mine.....lol.....I cheated and opened another window so I could count up all the girls I have met without missing someone.......lol.......yup and got bumped into da pewel as well jest as well I'm feeling a little warm tonight!.........lol

WOW Chrissy, I knew you met a lot of girlz, but that is IMPRESSIVE!!!! Your trip was soooo awesome! I still tell people about it, how you had never been overseas, PLUS did not know anyone you stayed with beforehand, except online, etc. AND how it all worked out so beautifully. So far, I have just met 5 (Junie, Lori, Bernie, Jaybird, and Sue, in that order). I hope to meet more too!!! Cool about your new coffeemaker.....my DH loves espresso too. Enjoy de cafe!!!

Kathy....I became a travel agent back in the mid 80's so I could travel and did a bit before my children came along..Im ready to get back at it..lol....I passed up two opportunities recently ...London and Shanghai while I was in tx...my company comes out with a couple trips a year that are either free or minimal cost..those two were offered while in rads and I just couldnt stop rads to take one..I needed this chit over and one with asap..is it DL vacations where you fin your deals? I could really use a cruise and they are pretty cheap ..especially not needing the air add on...maybe I'll try and arrange that at some point..but I dont really want to go alone and I cant invite one kid and not the others and I cant afford all of them..so I"ll have to think about this one for a while..but that will be a ways out anyway.
As the weekend aproaches I want to with Bernie a lot of luck and I think the tenders are packing up the ufo so we can join you and help you keep your sanity.

Good morning goils,hot days here in Cali. And I can't even go swimming yet,our pool is still green! I'm just gonna hop in the pool here in the lounge where it's always blue. Besides here we have all the cute boys around to towel you off when you get out. ALI- The surgery is for tissue expanders. And you're right about 1 thing I will be glad to get it all behind me. Yesterday I got out of the shower and tried to wrap a towel around me and it wouldn't stay on! I'd wrap it around me and it kept slipping. After awhile it looked like the towel and I were having quite a fight,lol. Ok goils, time to get going. My mom's birthday is this weekend and I have to get everything ready. Cheers.

Cyn, another good thing about eye drs, is they don't weigh you!! If you did do a cruise, could you take 1 kid now, and then another for a future trip? When I went to Madeira with my girls, the first one went 11 yrs ago and the other one went with me this year. BUT the other one (that went this yr) got to go to Costa Rica with classmates and chaperones when she was 16 or 17. No, I don't do DL vacations. They have "deals" or something, when you look under the Trip Planning tab. They have diff ones ea wk....always for weekends. THEN they also have special price flts to other places, or first class specials, etc. I do better on other sites for cruises, etc. BUT you know how to get good prices! That sux you had to miss those trips cause of your tx!!!!!!! NOT FAIR!!! FURB!!!!
