Bernie thank u can't wait to open that wine. and I had 1 drink kinda tall. Baby steps ladies. hahaha But I did want chocolate, but I held back and didn't have any--since last week I ate a whole cake 2 cheesecakes and 1/2 gallon of ice cream.---I have to put the brakes on. I think it;s Belvidere vodka that has no sugar in it or no something that makes it cakorie free. And besides I look so much better when I have a drink or 2 well to me anyway. I told u when I was young we always drank in my family if we didn't feel well with a stomach ache we ot annisette (shot) cramps was homemade blackbury brandy and everthin else was homemade red wine. My parents would have been out in jail now for this they never laid a hand on us, probably cuz we were always sleeping from the booze.

Good morning, Loungettes! Chilly 35 degrees here this am. Brrrr!Just time for a quick visit this am:

DorKable-- did you notice that the gallery doesn't have any sharp corners? That's so we Loungettes can wander through safely even while, well, less than sober.

Wahine--Columbus day is one of those half a$$ holidays--most of the banks are closed, no mail, half the doctor's offices are closed, but everyone else is hard at work. He's still a good excuse for a drink, though.

ORLA--Hooray for new foobies in January!!!!!

Goldie--I have my Vit D checked every time I get blood work, but I'll call and get the vit B added to this next batch. Good idea!

Raku--Good for you for getting on a dating site! Sounds like you still got it, girl!

DorKable--Oh, my goodness the day you had! I wish there was something I could do to help.

BBBBernie--YES, you WERE missed! Good to see you back!

    Cammy--saying prayers for your cuz!

Ohhhh you're after my heart, NM.....with the DOTD, that is! Madeira is very dear to my heart, since thats where my ancestors were from (on moms side). WHen I went there for the 1st time (2000?), and we met some relatives, they shared some 100 yr old Madeira wine with us. I just LOVE it sooooo much there....took my DD there this past March, and going again next March!!! OK, Pants, Jock, I will have a glass or ten of the DOTD, puleez!!!

Dorkie, Darn, all that is going on and you need TONS of sleep, den you jest count dose darn sheep all nite???? NOT fair...well dear, you count much higher than I will ever aspire to count....you kin make up any darn numbers ya want to, ok? You still write so durn FUNNEEEEEEE, even when tired and stressed to da hilt. Hoping todey goes well for you, dear. I wish we could all be there to help you get your house ready!!

Oh yeah, girls, I foigot to tails ya dat de Dorkster took her house off de market for now, since her parents will be there tamarra. Glad she won't have to worry about having a showing, with everything else going on!!!!

My dad will get those 3 meds filled this ayem, and i am so GLAD he let me take him to the clinic last night. I read that it is so much better to find out asap when it is shingles. It loooked soooo bad, I wish he would have told me as soon as it started. My uncle has it so bad, and I just hope my dad's does not get that bad. My DD was lucky that she only had a mild case, but I still remember how much pain she was in,and she was just 14. Stress can bring this on, (for my DD it was losing her dad), and I just wonder if all the stress of moving here, brought it on for my dad. It was quite a hard move for him, and we worked so hard on it, for so many weeks.

OK, nuff bout that. Ohhhhhh its alweady HUMP-DEY again....seems like just a couple days ago when we had our last hump dey. Time flies...so do skeeters, but we don't want any skeeters esp dose de-NILE skeeters. Oh, meses needs more coffee to wake up and be able to MAYBE think a tiny bit. Work, brain, work, c'mon, you kin do it.

Our chapel is still cwowded, we iz all pwaying for you and your family, Dotty. Are your parents flying up by themselves? OR are they coming back with the *kids*? (I forgot they are driving back). I will request some prayers for my dad too...so hard getting shingles at his age, and I worry he will have some serious effects from it. Thanks, girls!!!!

    Happy Humpity-Hump-Dey!!!

    Kathy

Wooo Hoooooo CyndieLouWhoIsInTEXAS!!!!! Glad you made it and are having such a great time. As for our website, I don't think our former friend is smart enough to do that, and none of the other sites have been compromised. Seems we did not get everything, as we got an email from another customer. So will be working on that again today. Damn people, why do people have to be so cruel. At least it's just a malware thing and not a terrible virus. And thanks for the drink!

Hello Cami, Oldie here! LOL. It wasn't my computer that was compromised, it's our website that has been hacked. I don't mind you calling me Oldie, just don't call me OLD!!!! Or maybe the Innocent Oldie? And it is so very true about making some great friends here on BCO. Wow, a heart transplant? Will be saying some prayers for your cousin. And you are a naughty goil, we lub dat!!!!! Enjoy your HARD Mike!

Oh Kathy, I'm so sorry to hear that about your dad. I don't know much about shingles, other than they can be VERY painful. Is it possible to get a mild case? Or keep it from getting bad? Prayers going out for him too. Oh just thought........are they contagious? I know they are in the chicken pox family right, and those are contagious. Can your mom get them?

    NM???

Bernie, thanks for all the love...........backatcha!

DorK, I hope the move goes well for your parents and that your dad will come to understand that it's where they need to be. Here is some cheesecake foya ewe, I mean you. Cuz ewe is a sheep, and you seen too many sheep already!

Or you can hab it as a liquid libatation....

    Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake Cocktail

1 ounce white creme de cacao1 ounce Chambord1 tablespoon cream cheese2 scoops vanilla ice cream1/2 cup crushed icePour all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. Pour the mixture into a parfait glass. Optional: garnish with a raspberry.

It's just like you've said it in your prayers: a raspberry cheesecake in the form of an alcoholic beverage. This is one seriously delicious, ice creamy treat! The Raspberry White Chocolate Cheesecake cocktail combines the flavors of raspberry, chocolate, vanilla and cream cheese (yes, it uses actual cream cheese) to create a drink that really tastes like a slice of raspberry white chocolate cheesecake in a glass.

And one for Cami, if you want to share with her, it's the one with the curly straw!

Giving myself a lil pat on the back, for thinking of something that might help NM.......hehe! I hope it's something so simple, as just the lack of a vitamin. I have blood work to do Friday. Oh burrrrrr, 35 degrees? Where did summer go? Seems like we were just talking about putting our gardens in?

Lara, are you home now? And weren't you having some bleeding after they took your TE's out? How is that doing?

Has anyone heard from Shannon? Mmmmmm, might have to send her a message. And VINO, where are you???? Calling MrsViNo to the lounge.

Hmmmmm....can we dwink dat yummy dwink off the yummy "beefcake"???? He is SUM hunka hunka burnin love, foah shuah! Lori, yes some people get milder cases of shingles (my DD, for one), and some suffer terribly for yrs (my uncle), and you can lose eyesight, even compromise your health and it can be fatal, depending on which organs get involved, esp at an advanced age, like my dad. I wish he had told me as soon as the rash started, as it is better to get help for it asap. I really think the stress of the move may have triggered it, in him. It IS contagious to anyone that has not had chicken pox. Otherwise, no.

Cheers! Humpin de Hunk while dwinkin de Cheesecake Cocktail...boy we iz talented, aren't wese????

A man finally makes his fortune and is having his dream house bulit. As he talks to the architect on how he wants the house built he says, 'See that tree there, don't cut it down because under that tree I made love for the first time.'

The architect says he understands the sentimental value of the tree and he will design the house so that the tree isn't harmed.

Then the man says, 'And you see that tree over there, I don't want it cut either, because her mother stood there and watched as we made love.'

The architect could hardly believe his ears,'That's incredible, what did her mother say?'

    To which the man replies,'Baaaaaa.''

    HI Ladies,

Dorothy and Kathy..you are in my thoughts as you deal with all these difficult parental issues.  Kathy hoping your dad's case of the shingles is a mild one.  Why would anyone get vaccinated if it only work 25% of the time and can cause it to happen??  Seems like the odds arent very good for a positive outcome there.  Dorothy.....hope this transition for your folks goes smoothly and that they become to believe this is the best choice for them at this time in their lives.

Lori, glad your website issues arent virus related but still what a pain in the arse!!

BBB....lol @ your funnies...it took me a few minutes to get the nun joke but it sank in finally...sometimes it takes me a while.

Camy...you are so funny..I see you have been enjoying a stiff Mike now and then lately,...good for you!

Orla....my visit to Bos will definately include the weekend of the 16th as I found there is a band performing in N. Reading on the 18th and I want to see along with my DS and her DP (this is my new abreviation for Dear Partner..K?)...

Hiya Chrissy..I see ya overthere in your recliner taking in all the eye candy in the lounge.

    Alli, where are ya??

Yeah, Sue made it here fine in spite of the small glich....I was more perterbed that I couldnt order a drink...lol...I dont have credit cards...I have one card tho that gets loaded every month with a little bit of money by booking Budget cars and booking Hilton properties and it hasnt been loaded this month yet..usually its good for 30-60$ so maybe by the time I leave.

Guess I should motovate and shower or something...

    MUAH friends...love ya

Sue, The rash is on his front, side, and back (trunk area). But the reason I knew it was shingles when I saw it, is because shingles will be on one side of your body...weird, yeah? ANd they were dk red and looked ohhhh so sore...lots of bumps.

OLara, Love the cat/fishbowl pic! Ouch! That must have been painful when your TE's had to come out. Next time it will work, I jest know it!

Well, my DD called and is very sick, but I told her I could  still paint while we talked...she asked if I was painting a picture, or the house. Neither..I'm painting a suitcase! I did my carry-ons with cute flowers, bees, so am now doing the large ones. Did a big 3-initial in center, then flowers. Then I won't be so paranoid that someone will take the wrong ones...already have the yarn pompoms, but so many people have that now. Another idea I had if anyone wants one, is just to splatter paint all over....all diff colors...would really stand out! LOL.

OK.....back to work. Are you doing okay, Dorothy????  ((((Dorothy)))))

    Later gaters,

    Kath

WaWa - am glad it is not head/face area as risk of blindness greater when shingles hit that part of body.  If the pain meds and topicals don't help let me kno.  They did a really cool thing for my mom months after the rash disappeared but the pain inside never subsided.  (((Kathy and Dad)))
