    Hiya goils,

I thought I had posted but can't find it but in case, foygive me for repeating. I tank you all for de birfdey wishes and also the prayers and good thought on my soygery. I am coming along beautifally and feeling pretty darn good. Mema Sue took such good care of me and made sure I did not do anything physical that could hoyt meseself. She wuz de bestest care taker a goil could ask for. She eben did de cooking and household chores like sweeping de floor, washing dishes, unloading dishwasher etc. I have to pinch meseself sometimes cuz de pampering I got seems like a dweam. And we had the lovliest birthday partay for both me and my Jessica. My fart has not been dis warm since I had our own Chrissy B with me around dis time last year.  As I had to get Chrissy to de airport for de next leg or her journey, I had to do de same ting for Pwoud Mary and send her to her next destination!

A quick hello to de new goil, Marev. Welcome to de lounge, grab a bar stool and join us. I will get you a dwink and if it is voygen, den so be it, we can portend.

Kathy, you are right, Juliet is berry brave allowing Stella near all dat likker. and I hate to tail Juliet but Stella told me dat she is bringing mole boy on de trip with ye. I talked to her dis night and I have a feeling dat he is hiding outside in yer bushes and Stella plans on letting him in when you go to bed. Dat likker does not have a chance, omg I so sorry. But ya see, Cyn was opposed to make sure moler foker boy did not follow Stella to Juliet's place. I am ascared for ye, Juliet. And bdw, you has my permission to "help" Stella and make dat mole faced lil chit nessapear into de swamp land.

NM, I liked dat you make a dwink in my honor, you so sweetliest. And de dwink stopped me from over doing anyting cuz I was too dwunk to ober due. And you so brave in talking about de hurricane. I tail ye, I am starting to get ascared. Please all goils pray for me and also NM that Sandy de Hurricane does not do any harm to ennymore people. I am supposed to see my surgeon for preop on monday morning which is about the time Sandy is supposed to hit, yikes. If it is as windy as predicted, I am not going ennywhere and hope you stay put as well. I hope that it is the news media making up chit about dis one cuz dey saying tings are ugly. Sort of like mole boy.

I enjoyed all de posts and good reading. And de pictures and jokes too. I was gonna try to talk to all ye goils but mese too dwunk. and tired. I tink I am going to wander ober to de pool and grab me a hammock agen. Join me, somebuddy, ennybuddy???????

Good morning, Loungettes!  Had a great day yesterday visiting with friends and playing with they're 2 little girls.  Even went on a hay ride!  It was a converted school bus pulled by a truck, but it was fun.  Even had to stop for a train with 52 cars, if the boys in the back were counting correctly.  I'm a tad stiff this morning, but not bad.  Gotta love the energy of small children!

Cammy--glad your DD has sense enough to sleep over!  The Dwinky sounds yummy, I may have to get the stuff to make that one soon. And don't you just love the balancing act that goes will all our meds.

CynCyn--we all have our little secrets!  We'll keep yours!

ORLA--that is a great woodpile.  Someone has lots of time on their hands!

Oh, My Heavens!  That lady needs to see a dentist!

Rakul--You are a woman after my own heart!  What is the point of saving or prolonging a life if you can't enjoy that life?  I don't advocate going overboard (although a good drunk does make sense from time to time), but enjoying a glass of wine with meals or an occasional night cap isn't going to do one bit of harm.  I'd rather enjoy a month of life than live 6 months following a whole bunch of rules that won't change the outcome anyway.

Juliet--now THAT"S how to prepare for a hurricane!

Wahine--sounds like you've got a great place!  Enjoy!

DorKable--I am so glad Mema pampered you while you two were visiting!  You deserve some pampering!  Lay in some supplies, enough for 3 or 4 days, and you won't have to worry too much about Sandy.  Just plan of the power being out for that long, and you should be just fine.  As to going out, if my road isn't blocked by downed trees  and the office is open I will be going out to see my patients if they need it, but since all of them are in facilities it shouldn't be much of an issue for me.  My biggest fear is boredom,  There aren't any trees close enough to damage the house, so I'm not too worried.  I claim the hammock next to the chocolatini fountain!

Chrissy--where exactly do you need your feet to be??????

Princess Glitter Sizzle's DOTD is the Chocolate Hurricane

    1 oz chocolate liqueur

    1 oz coconut rum

    1 splash lemon juice

    1 oz orange juice

Pour all ingredients into a cocktail shaker half-filled with ice cubes.  Shake well, strain into a cocktail glass and serve.

    Good morning goils!

Allison, I can picture this flashing thing, omg too funny! I know you girls will have another wonderful dey!

I hate to admit it but I am getting scared. The weather people keep sayiing how bad this storm is going to be, really? People like me should not have The Weather Channel. I have my likker, what more do I need? Really though, I need to get some help with battening down de hatches. I have so many possible projectiles in my back yard and I have two really huge trees. I am worried for my sister's home at the beach, weather people are sayiing that Sandy is set to hit her beach town, Ocean City, directly. Yikes! I have my post op appt in the morning and I do not believe I will make it. And if I don't, you better believe that I am going to unwrap myself, I can't take this being wrapped like a mummy for another day. And I want to see my results.

So who is gonna hang with me and partay? I have not been sober this long for days and I am really missing my Mema Sue. But I know she is having a wonderful time with Lori and Allison and I could not be happier for de goils. Well I am going to start filling up containers with water and getting them in the freezer. I have a lot to do to be prepared and am going to need some help. My daughter is heading over to the Eagles game today so I need to grab her before she leaves and have her help me.

Pray for me, my home and for my family members in the path of harms way. I guess I am going to head out to buy more likker and try to find some bread! Dwink up goils!

Dorothy: Not surprised you're scared!  Three storms converging is serious.  Good idea to get help battening the hatches.  You and your family are in my thoughts.   I'll drink in your honor tonight!

Dorkie, All the other emerg supplies too, like flashlights, candles, someway to cook, etc. Good idea you mentioned earlier about filling baggies with water and freezing and leaving in freezer/fridge to help keep things cold. IT DOES sound very scary, and I am glad you are watching the Weather Channel. Better to be worried more than needed than not be aware, and caught off guard and unprepared. PRaying for you and your family (and esp your sisters beach house, and parents SC house) and ALL the other gals here who may be in harms way, as well as EVERYONE that will be affected! Just so scary. OK....another funny...when I wrote "in harms way" it reminded me....my DH used to play racquetball with a higher up 'Colonel Harm"...so of course once when he hit the ball and it hurt my DH....I told him I had already warned him about "being in harm's way". We used to have fun with that one.

Oh Alli, I wish I could have seen your face when both Sue AND Lori came to KY!!! Didn't we keep a good secret about Lori coming too! I know you all are having a blast and can't wait to see pictures!!! I think you're having the best 40th bday I have ever heard of....I mean is it an entire month of celebrating??? I think thats awesome!!!! ANd you will always remember how special this birthday has been. Drive safely back to TN, Lori!

Welcome to the new gals! You can dwink either for real, or just cyberly....this is a place to have fun and be silly!!!

Oh I iike the DOTD NM, I have the coconut rum, will have to see if we have chocolate liqueur when we get home. Sounds like something I would truly love!

    HUgssssssssssssssssssss,

    Kath

Chrissy, What is so strange is this is looking like THE storm, really, really bad. BUT because when it hits land it will not be considered a hurricane, the National Hurricane Center is not issuing hurricane warnings or advisories (Even though this one will be a hurricane till it hits land). SO, hoping everyone realizes this could be much worse than a hurricane...they are already evacuating areas today and the subways in some areas are shutting down tonight. Are you getting much news about it? It REALLY sounds like it will hit with such hi winds which will create super-high waves, even on the lakes.

All of you in the path, our prayers are with you!

Everyone in this path of storms please do what u need to and take care of u'r families and u'r self--Please keep safe. This is worse everytime I hear about it and I know so many of u live in those areas--I sometimes forget we all live in different places---we talk so often that I think we're a few blocks away and it's funny cuz I'd never think I could care about people over the internet and I do. So all of u do as I said and don't forget u'r liquor it's u'r friend.

oh tank ye God, it looks like the posts are now matching the avatars, that was making me nuts too, Cammi.

does anyone have any idea what I can use for cooking? really, I only have a stove. oh Lordy, my propane tank is empty, I need to find a way to get it filled. I have not yet been out but from what I have seen on facebook, there are no batteries, bread, milk to be found. I do have plenty of candles. I jest started working on my laundry, I am glad I thought of that as that is one thing that I had not finished up and all of my comfy clothes are dirty. i have a load in the washer now. I nearly fell asleep on the sofa watching the stinking storm coverage. I am a tough goil and not usually afraid but this one has me scared chitless.

Chrissy, wat de matter with yer feet, you sound like you are hurting? You better dwink more, I have found likker to be DE best of all pain killers. Like Cammy sez, likker IS our fwend!

I heard from our KY goils and Lori, Mema n Alli are on dere way to Church Hill downs. I tailed dem to have fun but not get arrested. Yikes, Allison, if you read dis, PLEASE KEEP YER SHIRT DOWN lmao! I love you girls!!

Dorkie, Do you have charcoal and a small grill? We had a campstove with propane small refills that we used when we had no power for a wk. ALSO maybe you could pre-cook some things and put them in your fridge or freezer? Freeze LOTS Of ice, keep extra in coolers if you need to. THose solar lights are good too...leave them outside in the light and then bring them in at dark so you have light inside.

I am sure NM will have lots of tips for you as she is used to getting ready for storms and power outages.

Glad that the 3 gals are going to Church Hill Downs...what fun! Yeah, Alli, listen to Dorkie and watch that flashing!!!

    Stay safe,

    Kath

Dok I didn't know u r in this path thingy--I can't imagine that the stores are out of everything WOW And u---u shouldn't be doing all this stuff--Oh damn I guess u have to??? I wish u all lived around here--this is awful My dad used to say always respect but fear nature. It's only lately that I realized all the things he said were tru--My sister and I would always laugh at his sayings when we were young now we remember them and he was right about alot of things. Can u go somewhere further in or out? I hope NM comes on soon--she'll know what to do.

thanks for your concern, Camille, you are sweet! your Dad was a smart man goil!

I should be berry upset about now as i just flooded out my laundry room and back bathroom with the washing machines, the drain had a damn sock in it so all the water is on my floor. I have a pile of throw rugs that are saturated, my other rugs are soaked and I have paint cans under the wash tub. So instead of dealing with it, I am taking a nap. I figure why clean it up when my home might be under water tomorrow. I have insurance so if my floor is damaaged, i will put in a claim.  My wet vac caught on fire the last time I used it (true story, the cord sparked and had a small flame), I am sort of glad I do not have one as I would be tempted to use it. My DD is at the football game, I am seriously going to bed. I will then wake up, dwink and perhaps throw every towel I own on the floor to sop things up.

All of the river bank towns around here are being evacuated including my DH. I am less than five miles from the Delaware River myself. I will definately follow the weather and follow any directions to evacuate if needed. What next, omg! But I am very cool, it is like God sedated me or sumting! My bed is calling me and my doggies for a nice nappy, good night! I will check in later. Thanks again all for your concern and pray that we are all spared! and lift your glasses and say................Cheers!
