This storm is really something, just sounds like it will be awful.
Dorkie, when you get up and if you DO use all your towels to sop up the water make sure you wash and dry them in case you are without power when the storm hits. Hope you all get your cell phones charged too, because I sure want to know that everyone is ok. And if the power is out and some of you are not online mese will really worry. Dorkie if you want to go to my house, my DD can let you in! Good thing Sue did not plan her trip for THIS week.
Glad your work trips were cancelled OLara, but sounds like you still might be in the path too? Where did your bro have to evac to?
Well I know all of YOU gals will have enuf likker on hand, but hope you have enuf other supplies too. They talked about so much snow here, now tonight they aren't mentioning it anymore. SO I guess it may not affect us here. Just been real rainy. We drove through the Gatlinburg area of the park and the leaves are still gorgeous, even on a cloudy, rainy day.So many beautiful golds and oranges! Had some Blue Moon beers with lunch at Outback. Oh, life is good. I do worry about all you gals in the path though. So much preparation. And then hoping and praying that it won't hit. And that everyone will be safe.

Hello goils, I had a most pleasant nap and jest worked on my mini flood. I have a load in the washer and another in the dryer. My DD just got home and she is picking up the wet towels and moving the laundry so I can wash the towels. The water is still under the washer and dryer but there ain't nutting I can do about it, it will dry eventually. Good idea Kathy to charge both of my cell phones, it is like having a spare battery with having two phones. I am going to run out shortly and fill my tank and also buy likker and try to find batteries for my flashlight. Good idea on using the solar lights inside, I have plenty of them. This storm is crazy, I don't quite get how a cat I hurricane is so bad, I think it has to do with the full moon tomorrow. Thank God it is not a cat IV hurricane! All schools have closed tomorrow and my DD's college has closed as well. It gonna be weird out there tomorroee but I am ready! Kathy, sweet of you to offer up your house, should I start driving now? haha!
I am going to get moving so that I can come back and do some partaying with you goils. And Cam, I think you are precious too! i jest love you girls, thanks for your support as always. We gonna partay on monkeydey!

Dorkie, Glad that your DD got home and is helping clean up that mess! Geez you and Sue must've dwank a lot of likker if you need to make annudder likker run! Hope the lines aren't too long to fill your gas tank....I imagine lots of people will be doing that. We were shocked at the low prices here at the name brand stations... $3.199. YES D, start driving now and you will get there before we do and you can feed our dogs and save my DD from having to go there everyday to do that. Lots of likker in the cabinet....even your beloved Gentleman Jack. Heck, you can bwing NM and OLara wid ya! Any other of our gals in the path???

Kathy, now you are talking....we can have our own little party at your house! I still have not gone out, I am procrastinating and playing on facebook. wow, 3.20 for gas, that is awesome. It is about 3.70 here. And you know the prices will go up after this big storm, they always do. I should probably stop at an ATM and grab some more cash, I pulled 200.00 out yesterday but I am hearing that we could be without power for weeks. When that hurricane hit last September (while I was in Myrtle Beach), people in these parts had no power for over a month. I am glad for once not to have a basement as people with basements were flooded. I am trying to think of anything else that I might need...great idea to precook some food. I have four frozen pizzas, I might cook a few and just wrap them and put them in the fridge. I do not mind cold pizza. I am going to buy more peanut butter and jelly too. My DD went to the grocery store for a few things and said that the bread shelf was empty. She did get milk and I have cereal. I think we will be ok. Really, I could use to starve a few days, I have had so much junk food over the last few days. I ate all of the butterfingers and have been working away at the cake. And there are two containers of ice cream that keep calling my name lol. I typically lose weight after surgery but know I feel like I have added ten pounds in the past week, ooops.
Well I tink it is time for me to do my errands, seems the rain has slowed down. I am hoping this is all a big joke. I can hope, right? Be safe all and don't foyget to dwink up!
ps...Chrissy, I am glad your feet are jest tired. Funny dat dey told you to sit down, my feet talk to me too. They tail me that my armpits stink and dey are correct! I have been told I am backwards...my nose runs and my feet smell, but dat not true, my feet smell purdy.

Hi Cyn! So nice to see you. Glad you are getting some OT, gotta love having extra natty money! woo hoo cyndie lou.
I struck out in finding D batteries, damn it. I had to buy premium gas, the regular was sold out. The first likker store I hit was closed but I found one still open. I have a bunch of water bottles and zip lock bags filled with water in my freezer. I have 2.5 loafs of bread and bought another jar of peanut butter and another jar of jelly. I have cereal and milk and now have 3 dozen eggs which I plan on hard boiling at least a dozen. I have my lil playmate cooler ready and all of the ice trays filled. I am ready as can be. I just checked my work website areweopen.com and it is showing business as usual tomorrow, are they kidding? The governor has suggested that all non critical businesses close. Good thing I do not have to worry about that.
So is anyone here for a partay? I am gonna be up for awhile. Camille? Kathy? Tab or Chrissy? Ennyone? Oh, I want to post some pics of my time with Mema Sue, if I forget, please remind me. I am enjoying some quiet time at the computer in between working on laundry.

Chrissy, that storm has just started and now they are saying it's picking up more power with higher winds--I think today and om are supposed to be the worst. ??? That's what we're hearing on the weather channel.

Chrissy, the storm is expected to last at least 48 hours and the worst is yet to come. We have not yet had that much rain or wind.I was able to pump water off of my pool cover without getting blown away or even soaked. Oh, my employer closed today for the first time ever. Also my doctors office in the city has closed today and tomorrow so I have a call in to find out what to do but I see no reason why I cannot remove the dressings, I can't wait. The rain and winds have not yet been too extreme. I just heard that the storm is 485 miles large from east to west, wow that is one huge storm. The coast towns are already flooded but not yet too deep. I am keeping a close eye on the TV, got my likker supply for a few weeks in the house so all is well.

yay, hurricane partay! I've got to remove my dressings first, woooo hooooo, can't wait! I got the okay! I am so retarded wtih my new phone, I missed the doctors call but he left a detailed message which took me time to figure out. He said to remove the bandages and also the little drain thingy that I did not know is there. I am still wrapped but am going to unwrap momentarily then have a shower den join ye all for de hurrican partay! good idea Cyn!

Did you "undo" your mummy dressings D? Hope you LOVE the results!!! I think it can still change for awhile, is that right?When I had mine done, we had to wait for it to "fluff" or something...lol. I am glad I can't remember all of that clearly anymore. Hope you get your nice shower and ENJOY it in case you won't get another hot shower for awhile.
