i am here. all showered and smelling purdy. its been awhile! I finally stopped farting, Sue can attest that I wuz one stanky goil. hehe. really, it feels so wonderful to be cleaned up. the doc really did a nice job with my incisions and they feel quite good for this time of day, usually the pain starts to hit around this time but nada. woo hoo I will drink to that.
the rain has calmed some here but the wind is picking up, my weather bug says that gusts are at 51 mph. I heard the sound of a branch snapping nearby but do not see anyting. my power went out twice but was back on very quickly, fingers crossed. I just decided to run a bleach load to reclean the towels I used on the floor. I am also running my dishwasher and hoping for the best. so many people around here have been baking all day. I have stuff to make cake but I am still pigging out on our birthday cake, I knew I should have picked up the smaller one. for those of you that did not see a pic of our bday cake, ya see, i picked it up. I had it personalized with "Happy birthday to beautiful and to more beautiful", meaning me and my DD. Our bdays are consecutive, hers is de same as Alli's. I have been eating everything in site.
Lara, I love you too dear child. How are you feeling? And how is your weather?
Unde, yippee, you come in for a dwink? I like those widdle humbrellas for de drinks, appropriate for our tropical weather. It is craaaazy here!
Kathy, I hope you are able to make it to Asheville, maybe the snow will melt? I know you are taking it lightly and not fretting over missing your appointment but it would be nice if you could get it done while you are closer. It sounds so beautiful where you are, I wish mese was there with you. or with Allison and Sue. Or in Oz with Chrissy B. Anywhere but New Joysey!
Mr. Big, bring rounds for all de goils. Mese declare de DOTD as de Frankenstorm! no idea what is in it but it is yummy.
~~I am DorkY K and I have approved dis message. Now dwink up ladies!! Wishes of peace, love, health and happiness to all of my bootifulest friends! Cheers!

I was just thinking---usually hurricanes et to FL and a few of the surrounding states, but this one is like missing FL and going all over the place. It's just strange to me how weather is changing and it's more severe. It takes me awhile to notice.
Dork I'm glad (well we all are) that u took a shower, I didn't think u could take one so fast after surgery. I have no understanding of this surgery so that's why. This better be u'r last one.
Well my Joey (grandson) just came in my room to watch TV with me--so I'll cstch up later---we cuddle now, LOL

aww. Camille, cuddling with your GS sounds way sweeter than partaying in de lounge....not much tops dat! the docs get us in de shower quite fast nowadays. Since de invention of surgi-tape, it is usually only four deys. De worst for me was last Christmas, I had soygery on 12/22 and I was all stanky for Christmas dinner. Hated it. I has a good feeling about dis one.

Hi there girlies,
My bad for missing our time for so long. Really thought I was "through" this after the mastectomy.....silly me. Think of you all so often but couldn't bring myself to pop back in after being gone so long, too much guilt. Long story short, my docs office keeps dropping the ball when it comes to dealing with authorization from my insurance company, so I am still very much in limbo.....got my expanders out, but one implant isn't settling right, so going back in to debris scar tissue and re insert implant. That puts me another three months away from even thinking of nipples!! I have done this whole thing start till now without any antidepressants, but am very much feeling the need for them this evening. Was truly looking forward to being back to "normal" by xmas......aint gonna happen now. Grrr. I need a drink.

Stories of folks who manage to survive with minimal intelligence... and they vote
1. When his 38-caliber revolver failed to fire at his intended victim
during a hold-up in Long Beach, California would-be robber James Elliot
did something that can only inspire wonder. He peered down the barrel
and tried
the trigger again. This time it worked.
2. The chef at a hotel in Switzerland lost a finger in a meat-cutting
machine and after a little shopping around, submitted a claim to his
insurance company. The company expecting negligence sent out one of its
men to have a look for himself. He tried the machine and he also lost a
finger.
The chef's claim was approved.
3. A man who shoveled snow for an hour to clear a space for his car
during a blizzard in Chicago returned with his vehicle to find a woman
had taken the space. Understandably, he shot her.
4. After stopping for drinks at an illegal bar, a Zimbabwean bus
driver found that the 20 mental patients he was supposed to be
transporting from Harare to Bulawayo had escaped. Not wanting to admit
his incompetence, the driver went to a nearby bus stop and offered
everyone waiting there a free ride. He then delivered the passengers to
the mental hospital, telling the staff that the patients were very
excitable and prone to bizarre fantasies.
The deception wasn't discovered for 3 days.
5. An American teenager was in the hospital recovering from serious
head wounds received from an oncoming train. When asked how he received
the injuries, the lad told police that he was simply trying to see how
close he could get his head to a moving train before he was hit.
6. A man walked into a Louisiana Circle-K, put a $20 bill on the
counter, and asked for change. When the clerk opened the cash drawer,
the man pulled a gun and asked for all the cash in the register, which
the clerk promptly provided. The man took the cash from the clerk and
fled, leaving the $20 bill on the counter. The total amount of cash he
got from the drawer...
$15. [If someone points a gun at you and gives you money, is a crime
committed?]
7. Seems an Arkansas guy wanted some beer pretty badly. He decided that
he'd just throw a cinder block through a liquor store window, grab some
booze, and run. So he lifted the cinder block and heaved it over his
head at the window. The cinder block bounced back and hit the would-be
thief on the head, knocking him unconscious. The liquor store window
was made of Plexiglas. The whole event was caught on videotape.
8. As a female shopper exited a New York convenience store, a man
grabbed her purse and ran. The clerk called 911 immediately, and the
woman was able to give them a detailed description of the snatcher.
Within minutes, the police apprehended the snatcher. They put him in
the car and drove back to the store. The thief was then taken out of
the car and told to stand there for a positive ID. To which he replied,
"Yes, officer, that's her. That's the lady I stole the purse from."
9. The Ann Arbor News crime column reported that a man walked into a
Burger King in Ypsilanti, Michigan at 5 A.M., flashed a gun, and
demanded cash.
The clerk turned him down because he said he couldn't open the cash
register without a food order. When the man ordered onion rings, the
clerk said they weren't available for breakfast. The man, frustrated,
walked away. [*A 5-STAR STUPIDITY AWARD WINNER]
10. When a man 20 attempted to siphon gasoline from a motor home parked
on a Seattle street, he got much more than he bargained for. Police
arrived at the scene to find a very sick man curled up next to a motor
home near spilled sewage. A police spokesman said that the man admitted
to steal gasoline and plugged his siphon hose into the motor home's
sewage tank by mistake. The owner of the vehicle declined to press
charges saying, that it was the best laugh he'd ever had. Some guy bought a new fridge for his house. To get rid of his old fridge, he put it in his front yard and hung a sign on it saying: "Free to good home. You want it, you take it." For three days the fridge sat there without even one person looking twice at it. He eventually decided that people were too un-trusting of this deal. It looked to good to be true, so he changed the sign to read: "Fridge for sale $50." The next day someone stole it.
I used to work in technical support for a 24/7 call centre. One day I got a call from an individual who asked what hours the call centre was open. I told him, "The number you dialled is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week." He responded, "Is that Eastern or Pacific time?" Wanting to end the call quickly, I said, "Uh, Pacific"
My colleague and I were eating our lunch in our cafeteria, when we overheard one of the administrative assistants talking about the sunburn she got on her weekend drive to the shore. She drove down in a convertible, but "didn't think she'd get sunburned because the car was moving
My friends and I were on a beer run and noticed that the cases were discounted 10%. Since it was a big party, we bought 2 cases. The cashier multiplied 2 times 10% and gave us a 20% discount
I was hanging out with a friend when we saw a woman with a nose ring attached to an earring by a chain. My friend said, "Wouldn't the chain rip out every time she turned her head?" I explained that a person's nose and ear remain the same distance apart no matter which way the head is turned
I couldn't find my luggage at the airport baggage area. So I went to the lost luggage office and told the woman there that my bags never showed up. She smiled and told me not to worry because she was a trained professional and I was in good hands. "Now," she asked me, "has your plane arrived yet?"..
While working at a pizza parlour I observed a man ordering a small pizza to go. He appeared to be alone and the cook asked him if he would like it cut into 4 pieces or 6. He thought about it for some time before responding. "Just cut it into 4 pieces; I don't think I'm hungry enough to eat 6 pieces

Tiedyemon---Please everyone has super sad days--I didn't believe in meds before--I am now the town druggie--(meds) and I gave in and started taking anything I could so this doesn't disturb my thinkin---Oh thst was stupid to say--I am one of the most disturbed thinker u would ever encounter.. But call in sick and why not feel bad for u'rself u have every right to--I think alot of us get to a point like this but maybe u can use some help--it's a tremendous amount of negative energy and every fight we do is worth it in the long run. This all sucks and I can't fully tell u HOW ro feel I can just say talk to u'r Dr. and with sll the junk that they've done to, u'r body wil welcome some meds for relief. U don't have to be on them forever but maybe just a while going thru this. I think we make it easier than it sounds, well we try to--but this is not easy, mentally and physically. There's times we're drained and we can't hide it all the time. Ad why should we. I think especially when for any reason u get pulled back in this world of cancer. So please I don't kniw u'r history, but U must have had chemo, rads whatever--so try just for a while to talk to u'r Dr. for some meds. for depression.

Dork write asap I still have the weather channel on and u'r living it. and NM hasn't been heard of so she must not have electricity. I'm sure she's fine. Now they're calling this a Northeaster??? I've never heard of that kind of storm. I hope u slept well and weren't disturbed to much where u are.
0 -
Camille dahling, I am jest fine. I am gonna grab a brandy coffee and join you in de lounge momentaraly!
0 -
Dork I'm so relieved it's a nightmare in NJ and all the states around u. Over the night they said that there were over 1,000,000 people without electricity and I'm sure the #'s have gone up. Is everything around u OK? the streets and u'r house and sruff. What about u'r car? Well as log as u'r safe. I be NM has no electricity we would have heard from her.
Did u sleep well last nite--are u having any pain? or are u comfortable?
0 -
Oh, SO glad you are ok Dorkster!!!! I jest got up....well laid in bed all night with absolutely NO sleep again. I am still a zombie-person, but had to turn on the weather channel 1st thing, and then check this thread to see if you checked in. SO thankful you have power, too! Seeing the damage is horrible...those 80 homes totally destroyed by fire in Queens....and they were owned by retired abd current fire fighters, policemen, teachers, and a councilman..and no one died from that, amazing. I was just thinking how horrid it was for the people that didn't evac, and then their homes were on fire with flooding too, but they did rescue them....but how scary that must have been. Has your sister heard about her home at the beach?
How bout your brother Olara? Is his home ok? Are you OK?
Well, gonna look at more of the coverage......so devastating. I am afraid Asheville might have tons os snow too, but will have to check on that.
hugssssssssssssssssssssssssssss,
Katwinka-de-zombie-gal

Cami, BAMA is short for Alabama, and also used for our football team, the Crimson Tide. Sorry bout the funcusion. We are in N AL, just below Nashville, TN. Lots of mountains, trees, lakes, rivers. Our part of "Bama" is very hi-tech, where the space program started. We have the 2nd largest Research Park in the US, and 4th largest in the world....so a lot of highly educated professionals....not like you typically envision Alabama, and our city is rather new. I love it there!
I wish I could take something to sleep, but I started a new antid, and can't just get off it without going back on the one I used to take (or have to wean off), wish I had brought my old pills with me! WHen I get home, I will go back on the other one. THis one leaves me so tired all day, and I think I have only had 2-3 nights sleep in the past 2 wks. VERY UNLIKE me,as I have no energy and usually am like the energizer bunny, so I don't know how to deal with it. I'll just vent to you all, and be a Kranky Kathy!
