Hello girls!
Popping in quickly to say hello, I am on my way to go to my DD's college for her dance recital. I can't wait to see my beautiful goil dance, she dances straight to my heart ♥I had fun last night filling up the pages...a lot of it was non sense but it got the job done.
Was glad to hear that our Mema Sue's DD is doing better, dat means that our dear Suzie is doing better too. Hugs and love to Sue and her daughter.
My exDH#1 is driving, chit it will take us an hour to make a 40 minute trip, I feel like crawling down and punching the gas petal mese damn self!

WooHoo I am here to partay wid ya! Lotsa food, yummmmmm. But I'm still full from lunch...my DD took me out to lunch...she had a big get-together to go to at a.....get this...Chinese Restaurant. LOL....I about cracked up!! Ummmm....didn't I just get back FROM China??? It was funny. Then we saw The Nutcracker, I always love that one! THEN, on the way home at dusk I nearly got killed. STOOPID driver came across a couple lanes, and 2 sets of double lines, smack in front of me, and I was going 60...I was almost even with him as he came over so had to really slam on the brakes (thank God they work) and hold the horn down. Chit!
So am having some likker to calm my nerves!

I love doze apples, abd cukes so cute and the food yummy I'm till having comp. problems--I can't get to my e-mail somehow--I didn't try alot today, cuz I'm too icky today, so I have to get it to work, I have to concentrate----diffivult for me. I'll check back later I just can't get my energy level up at all.????????

Sorry off topic: Just a question, if anyone here has had immediate reconstruction with umx. I see the ps on Tuesday and I am scared about being under anesthesia for 5 hours. It is making me not want to have the reconstruction on right side/reduction on left side. I am really terrified and I do not know how to alleviate my fears. Oh and of course my crazy friend I told her to get lost yesterday because she told me I had to get out of the house and to socialize more, umm I am sorry I just got some really bad news and don't want to be around a bunch of people I do not know right now. She told me she would not let me walk out of her life, hmmm, interesting.

So many more I want to comment on...jes running out of steam. Wanted to thank everyone for the thoughts and prayers for my Jengirl. They found she had a weak 'dura' so back to hosp last night. They did a 'blood patch' and in like 10 mins she was a diff person. 1st thing she told my wonderful SIL was to stop at Taco Bell at like 11p last night!! LOL. I did talk to her this afternoon and heard more of the details...but she says she feels gr8 and no more nausea or spinal headaches. BARMEN!!
Can't wait to hear about Jessica's dance performance too.

BlackCat, I had bilat mast and immediate recon. My surgeon and PS were both there at the beginning too, as I like my PS's "upside down T" incision from nip area down, and I was afraid my BS might not make the correct incisions. BUT it worked out well, and I am happy I did it. There is a lot of pain, and it does take awhile to feel better. I have heard it is not the BMX causing the worst pain, it is the TE (tissue expnders). My PS filled my TE's with enough saline so that I did not wake up "flat", which for me, was important. But I don't know what "UMX" means, can you 'splain dat to mese? If I can help with answering questions, feel free to send me a PM. You will do FINE!!! (((Blackcat)))

....continued for BlackCat.....Yes, I was wondering the same thing that Sue asked you...is there a reason you are fearful of the long anesthesia time? I guess its a "toss up" whether you want it done in 1 surgery, or 2 surgeries. I like to have as few surgeries as possible, as it is too easy to catch bad germs in the hospital. Also, for me, I would rather be put under once, rather than twice. BUT it IS a personal decision, and this is just my personal opinion. You will need to make the right choice for YOU, and asking questions is a good way to start, and see how you really feel.

Nice woids for da Blackcat WaWa. Mese is purdy sure da umx is uni, jes one, she mentions having reduction on other side at same time she has da 'shitty titty' as DorK wud say, removed. Mayb tamary our personal nurses on staff at the HTL can weigh in on these things. But u kno...I agree fer sure bout 1 surgery if poss. I wud def opt for that if I was gonna do it. BlackCat - I don't kno what to think of that friend of yours. Sending you positive energy and Big HugZ!!

Right side is the cancer side and they are doing the mastectomy on that one with immediate reconstruction and then reduction on the left side to match. I am just scared and I know I did okay with the excisional biopsy under anesthesia it is the 5 hours that bothers me but as you goils say it is better to have one surgery then to have two. Just my nerves playing out is all and I get to think about it for almost four weeks. Thanks so much for answering me...

Hey Blackcat, sorry I did not acknowledge you, I did not see the recent two posts. I had a BMX and for me, the worst part was the waiting to get it done and over with. Kathy is right in that the first few days are quite painful and you will not be able to raise your arms for some time. Hang with us, we will try to keep your spirit up as you wait to get this over and done with. We can all get teeny tiny and come and watch over you as you have yer surgery. Wese can try to be real quiet and hang in the doctors pockets and maybe pinch some cute butts if we see dem. We will all be with you in spirit and here to listen to you vent. Please do not leave us hanging though, we all care about one anudder so muchly and you are now one of us so you can't have yer surgery den run out of de lounge. It will be alright and you will get thru this difficult time. I am nearly 2.5 years out and I believe I am a stronger person in spite of it all! Here, have a dwink, I had de tender make it stwong, jest like mines. CheeRs!

Good words to BlackCat, Dorkaroni! BlackCat, the bc was on MY right side too. Wonder if that side has it more often? I had my left removed prophylactically (yuppers, that is spelled correctly!)...didn't want to worry about it, and wanted a good match. So when we have BOTH done, you can't raise either arm, so its good to prepare your home, etc., ahead of time. There are other threads here about what you could do beforehand, etc. A couple of hints that worked for me were to bring a small pillow for your ride home from the hospital to pad where the seat belt comes across, and also I sewed pockets INSIDE large tops that I bought, to put the drains in. I also bought some "dusters" for around the house that open down the front (easier to get on/off), oh, and this one was a lifesaver....my skin got very irritated from even the paper tape on the dressings, so after awhile instead of using tape I wrapped ace bandages around me. That worked well to hold the drains in place too (rather than tape). OK, I was only going to write TWO hints...time for me to go beddy bye....my fingers type waaaaaay too much when I am tired!!!
