An attractive blonde from Cork, Ireland, arrived at the casino. She seemed a
little intoxicated and bet twenty thousand dollars in a single roll of the
    dice.

She said, "I hope you don't mind, but I feel much luckier when I'm
completely nude." with that, she stripped from the neck down, rolled the
dice and with an Irish brogue yelled, "Come on, baby, Mama needs new
    clothes!"

As the dice came to a stop, she jumped up and down and squealed... "Yes!
    Yes! I won, I won!"
She hugged each of the dealers, picked up her winnings and her clothes and
    quickly parted.

The dealers stared at each other dumbfounded.

Finally, one of them asked, "What did she roll?" The other answered, "I
don't know - I thought you were watching."

    MORAL OF THE STORY

Not all Irish are drunks, not all blondes are dumb.....
    But all men...Are men!

good morning bernieLaughing, wahoo jen is feeling betterLaughingLaughing.    blackcat have had surgery but not mastectomy or any form of reconstruction,  anesthesia will always err on the side of caution, any doubt of your ability to take 5 hours and they would cancel, the good new is that you did well with your excision,so you can tolerate the actual drugs plus now they load you up with meds before surgery to prevent acid indigestion and nausea. my advice cough and deep breathe even when you don't want to,prevents pneumonia, use a hug pillow,     do the leg exercises,to help prevent blood clots and use the pain meds, you will have just had surgery,DON'T SUFFER. when i had my first surgery 1 hr-obese and high bp,second surgery 3 weeks later 2hrs long,no problems with either.  good morning all

    Good morning, Loungettes!

Chrissy--beautiful sky!  I can see why you snapped that pic.

Juliet--I'm drooling on my keyboard, AGAIN!

Cammy--I wonder if coffee affects Stella the way candy affects children?  You'll be able to tell us soon!  Tired brain, that should be an official medical diagnosis.

Goldie--there's some really fun reading/looking on the pages right around no. 1000!

DorKable--I suppose it's better that exDH#1 drives slowly rather than too fast. . .

Undy--O.G. is nice but not worth going to prison for, that's for sure.  And I wouldn't sleep in that ice hotel, either!  Oooh, nice mulled cider presentation! Like the cucumber cups, too!

Wahine--What was that STOOPID driver on? Or doing?  Scary!

Blackcat--I did not have immediate recon, but I had a right prophylactic mastectomy and bilateral DIEP recon.  The surgery was 19 hours long.  I was scared silly going it to it, but it was SO worth it.  Yes, the longer the anesthesia, the longer the recovery,  but recovery DOES happen.  Big surgery is doable.  Some preparation helps.

Mema--I am so glad your Jengirl has gotten the treatment she needed!  Hooray for feeling better!

    Wahine--good hints for after mastectomy!

BBBBernie--LOL!  Great to hear about a blonde putting one over on the men!

    Juliet--more good advice for blackcat.

OK, gotta run, DOTD is whatever you want!

Hoping to get through all the rest of the posts. Currently at your foobs photo DorK, I mean Stella’s. Very nice, and what a cute bra you picked out. And we love your nonsense girl, just as much as we love you. Good luck at the doc’s today, I hope he can bix your eye, that would drive me nuts.

Oh Shoot BBBB, that was hilarious when you said none of those brats were related to you!

Lara, of course I will post pictures for you. You do still have my email?

Cami, I sure wish you would have joined us a long time ago. You crack me up! So glad your cat spit on the Moler Focker…LMAO! Not sure what could be wrong with your puter and email, can’t your DD help you out? As for that lack of energy, is your thyroid functioning properly, can take some vitamins to help, like some B maybe?

Kathy, those hunks were definitely easy on the eyes, oh ya! So glad you did not get hit, especially going so fast. Good for you for being so alert and aware. More Chinese food??? Ahhhh, glad you could answer BlackCat. I knew someone would be able to help. I’m glad you didn’t write only 2 suggestions, those are great tips for BlackCat. I think I remember someone saying too, to put things at an easy reach in your kitchen.

More good advice from Julie too.

NM, great advice for Cyn. But you are always full of good advice and DRINKS! And I think your naps with Sadie can be called dog naps.

Shannon, I never miss a party. I’m always there in spirit, and just do my celebrating in the morning and relive the parties. I’ma likking, I mean liking BUFF, nice!

BlackCat, nothing is off topic here girl. You can ask or talk about whatever you want. I didn’t have MX so I can’t offer any advice, but I’m sure someone can. You need to tell your friend exactly what you told us, that you are going through a tough time right now, and don’t want to be around people.

Sue, good news for your DD, so happy to hear that. That poor girl has gone through so damn much.

Well due to the big dock strike in CA, our container is there just sitting in the ocean. Was suppose to have it this week and the weather is gorgeous. Now prolly won’t get it till next week, and weather is getting cold and crappy and windy. Not fun unloading a semi in that. Will def. be drinking lots! Had plenty of drinks yesterday and went to bed at 6!!!

    Happy Monkey Day Ladies!

Today’s DOTD is for our new boy in de lounge, BIG BUFF COCKTAIL. And look how healthy!!!

    1. 5 Parts Bourbon

    Bourbon

    1. 8 Parts Cranberry Juice

    Cranberry Juice

    1. 1 Part Black Raspberry Liqueur

    Black Raspberry Liqueur

    1. 1 Dash Lime Juice

    Lime Juice

Don’t make the mistake to take cordial lime, if fresh lime juice is on topic. When creating just a few cocktails and drinks, you can press wedges by hand. And before the party, make sure to have a big lime supply. Almost essential!

    1. 3 Whole Raspberries

    Raspberries

    1. 1 Whole Strawberry

    Strawberry

One of the most beloved berries is also known for its aphrodisiac qualities. You will need to take the green caps off before muddling, but for garnish you can just rinse them. If you want a drink to taste like summer, use strawberries: it’s hard to go wrong.

    1. 5 Whole Blueberries

    How to mix this cocktail

Fill a shaker with ice cubes. Add all ingredients. Shake and strain into a chilled highball glass filled with ice cubes.

    Big Buff

Mix em up, line em up boys

    Happy monKeydey girls!

Nice to see NM and Lori in the lounge so early this morning, wooo hooo! NM, 19 hours, are you serious? Yikes, that is nearly the whole day and night. No wonder you now fear going under. I shall keep my promise to you to ensure you do not do it again.

Lori, great DOTD and jest perfect for me with the extra aphrodisiac affect cuz mese gets Buff tonight, wooo hooo. I tank ye for your kind words, you always so good to mese. I have not heard about the strike that is holding up ye cargo but I sure hope you get your stuff before it gets cold. It is gonna be a gorgeous day here, sad I have to work so late, boooooo! Dis my first full week since mid october but mese only has three weeks til vacation, wooo hoooo!

Cammy, Stella tailed me that she snuck out de window, you better have yer kitty kat stay with her at night and tell on her when she tries to sneak out. She looking for de mole boy, I hope de trashmen pick him ugly ass up and take him to de dump hehe.

BlackCat, another thing I thought of, I am not sure if you live alone and hope that you do NOT but when you git your pain meds from the RX, tell them to put them in NON child-proof bottles. You will probably not have the strenth to open the child proof bottles, I had to leave my lids just sitting on top of de bottle cuz I could not open them on my own and that was very frustrating. Also, Kathy's idea with wrapping the drains in ace bandage to keep them from moving is a great suggestion. And for showering with drains, someone had told me to use a belt to a bath robe and tie it around my waist and pin the drains to it so you can move freely without worrying about them pulling. They hurt like a mother fletcher when you accidently bump them. I also had issues with them getting stuck on my door handles as I have the curly door handle (not sure what they called but they are not round). We are all here for you sweety. Jest drink for now and relax. Before you know it, it willl be over and the RB (rat bastard = cancer) will be kicked to de curb.

Kathy, I forgot to comment on that maniac on de highway, so glad you did not get hit, omg, we have had enough issues with goils here and do not need any more. How are your parents, did you dad's cough and such get better? That worried me when you posted due to their ages.

BBB, great joke, the end caught me off guard, good for that blonde! I miss our late night pow wows.

Juliet, I like how you can post to so many people in so few words, I am not so good at that. I take you are working de night shift again? I tank ye and NM for being here for us, we are so lucky to have two professionals in de lounge to assist. Between the two of you, we are always covered.

Mema Sue, I hope you had a great night sleep, I bet you will feel like a new woman. What a scare you have had with your precious daughter, I really feel for both of you for having been through so much crud, it jest not fare. Here is a dwink for ye, coffee and brandy jest how you like it.

Unde', ye so good at finding hot men. I will welcome de new boy, Buff with open legs. oops, I mean arms, arms. Stella made me say dat hehe.

Chrissy, that was a great photo but you always capture such beauty, you are the best photographer that I know. I am praying that your LE gets better and that you feel better. I can let you have Buff tonight if ye want, I ken wait til tomorrow. DaT cuz mese loves you so much. I will keep praying for you to feel better.

Cyn, enjoy your deys off. Been missing you around here. I will try to stop in and say hello.

Who am I missing? You all know mese loves yese so don't fret if my pea brain forgot about you. Have a wonderful dey girls and drink for me until I can get back.

Love you all! Titties up if you got em!

    chEErs!

I am hoping de doctor can help with my eyeball issue.

Good Mornin' All- there's so much to catch up on--I slept well again and during the night my GS was in my room with me--he must have had a bad dream. I'm sorry I've been so poopy lately--but Stella is really a handful,

Sue I'm so glad about Jenn--and now she's on the mend. YaY

Blackcat--Why does anestesha (sp) scare u--did something happen, or is it just that u feel uncomfortable with it? I'm sure if u took the first one well the Drs. wouldn't have u go under 5 hrs. for this-It'll be fine--But we all have our fears of something so maybe this is ur's--Talk to u'r Dr. for extra nonfear stuff. maybe it will help--BTW this is a common fear so u'r not alone. But they wouldn't do this if they thought they shouldn't really, so try to relax a bit and it will be over soon , then u can start to party. And Dork thought of something so importand--if u live alone ask for non child proof thins cuz there is no way sometimes u can open up those bottles.

Ok now I forgot what everyone said.

OMG miss a day and it takes forever to catch up! Oh My God...Julie, where do you ever find all those nearly nekkid hunks??? I think they must be living with you, and then you just take their picture every day! LOL...great eye candy foah shuah!

Dorkie, Good hints about the non-child-proof caps, and keeping everything at waist height that you might need. I just used a LONG shoestring that I tied, and put it over my neck, then could safety pin the drains on it, for showering. That worked well and I had several. BOY that seems like eons ago that I had to do all that chit. AND my drains were in for 5 wks (well at least one of them) and it was soooo miserable. I think the drains were the worst part of it, for me. The fills were no probs for me, but so many girls have a lot of pain with them.

Great addition to the lounge, Shannon! AND I like the name Buff too, that Dorkie came up with. BUT I know you had a great time with him last night, but ya know....Dorothy is NOT looking, and I am gonna grab Buff and take him home wid me! Dotty mentioned I like variety, yuppers she is right! Dotty, you should NOT have let go of Buff.....now you will have to catch up...and we are running away......lol.

Hugs to all....cannot even try to address everyone! OH Bernie, I forgot, that was soooo funny about the blonde in the casino...I will send that to my DH...he will crack up over that one.

Happy MonKey Dey...hope everyone's drs appts went well today....time to DWINK UP...and I am having to dwink on de run, as I don't want Dotty to catch me......

Kat u drink on the run and I'll take over----

Drains vs fills--never had fills but they sound so painful for almost everyone. ick--Te drains were annoying but not painful--u guys who've had recon are the real troopers--I just did not want to go thru that.

And besides the tenders still like me I'm an oddity to them but they're not to me. ahahahahaI know how to HANDLE them.

And Stella has been ood all day--she washed my clothes and rubbed my feet--she even excercized a little for me--see she'll come around, now i have to sleep with one eye open--she doesn't fool me.

jest a quick pop in....Kathy, dat's okey, I will not chase him tonight, I have no energy. Mese stayed up too late last night and am quite tired. you jest enjoy the Buff and hog him for yerself. we have plenty of other tenders to keep us hydrated and happy.

Lara, you are absolUtely correct in that your employer can't say no to the time off. And I am not shore if ye know dis but...YOU are covered under "the american's with disabilities act", a law established in 1989/1990 that includes all cancer survivors and protects our jobs, they can't touch you or they in big trouble. Read up on it online at ada.gov. I am so glad you fired dr dick. And did you know I also fired a doctor named Dr. Dick? I guess they are eberywhere. You will have your foobs in no time. I am finally loving mine ... that is as long as I have clothes on.

Juliet, I love de snoopy pic, I am a fan of his. One of my first books that I ever bought through school was a Charlie Brown book. And damn, I cant remember de name of it but can picture it. It was one of those little square books with big pics and a sentence or too on each page. Darn, now mese gotzta tink about it as I should be able to come up with de name. ahhh, I got it - "Happiness is like a warm Puppy", can't believe I pulled de name outta mese ass.

Well mese berry tired and should be in bed already, I stayed up too late both Saturday and Sunday nights. I hope ye goils keep de partay going. I know where Katwinka is, uh huh yep, I ken hear Buff moaning all de way from here!

Love to all of you girls, sawry mese not address all ye, it jest getting to hard to do that with so many wunderfoil loungettes joining our partay! I lift my glass and say ~burp, oops, dat wuz not spose to hapben. cheeRs!

Camille, you go girl in getting Stella to work for you. DorkY is berry impressed. And mese gots an idea on getting rid of moler foker once and fir all. can you show Stella the pic of the hot guy that Juliet posted earlier today? He has moles and has more than John Boy. I know she is hot for moles and maybe, jest maybe, she will like him more. And if is interested in him, maybe we can add him as yet another tender. Hell, can't have too many tenders, it impossible. How are you feeling todey? Is the D issue under contwol? I sure hope so. And did you pass when you went to de heart doctor, err I mean fart doctor? I hope you got an A. Hey, I jest looked at de dude with the moles again. It looks to me that he has a widdle teeny tiny penis growing out of his naval, does anyone else see that or am I nucking futs?

Hate dat you'r sooooo tireded tuenite Dorkie...but yese did a BIG posting job last night, and you gots us where wese needed to be....past the 1k page mark...yippeeee! Good morning, Loungettes!

Goldie--have fun getting through all the posts, it's practically a full time job keeping up here!   Yup, 19 hours and 45 minutes, as my mother reminds me very often.  One of the consequences of being obese (BMI was 36 at the time of recon).  1 breast surgeon to do the prophy mast, 2 PS's to do the recon, one doing microsurgery.  4 drains for weeks.  Had anesthesia brain for almost a year.  Hope I never have to go through anything like that again, but the results are MARVELOUS!

DorKable--yeah, I figure I've had enough anesthesia to last 2 lifetimes.  Doing my best to avoid any more.  Doing my best to avoid ever having another IV started, for that matter.  Totally lost several days except for a few flashes of memories.  Very, very disconcerting.  Are you putting warm packs on your eye?  Wet a washcloth with warm water (not hot), wring it out and fold it up and put it on your eye until it cools.  Should help things feel better.

Canny--I've been having weird, bordering on bad, dreams myself lately.  Not sure what that's all about but maybe it's just the time of year?  Anyway, tell your GS to send his to me, I've already got 'em so one more wont' be any trouble!

ORLA--remind your employers that breast cancer is considered a disability under the ADA.  They HAVE to make reasonable accommodations for you.  Your local civil liberties union and the American Cancer Society will both help you with this.

Wahine--we must have all figured out using a string or ribbon or something to pin our drains to when we showered.  I had drains top and bottom, ended up hanging a ribbon around my neck. What we will do to get a shower!

Blackcat--the advice about putting things on a lower level before surgery is very, very good.  I wasn't allowed to lift my arms above shoulder high for 6 weeks, couldn't lift more than 5 pounds for 6 weeks, couldn't push or pull anything for 6 weeks.  Of course, I couldn't stand up straight for a lot longer than that!  I had home health nurses, aides, physical therapist and occupational therapist come to my home to help me get back on my feet, too.  Take all the help you can get.  You may feel most comfortable sleeping in a recliner for a time.  I set up my living room with my recliner as the "center piece" as it were, with a stand on either side, with a notebook and pens,(to keep track of meds), small baskets for my pain and anxiety pills and antibiotics, the TV remotes and set my laptop up on an office chair that I could easily roll around so I could listen to audiobooks whilst napping during recovery.  I arranged for meals to be delivered (and had some frozen, but forgot to take into account that going up and down stairs was going to be a challenge, so they stayed in the freezer in the basement until later in recovery), and had friends and people from church visiting or calling me daily to check on me.  Had to get some friends to do laundry and sweep the floors a few times.  I was surprised how many people were so eager to help me out!  Now, keep in mind that DIEP recon is a much bigger procedure than what you are thinking about, so the recovery will be quicker and easier.  But it's better to over prepare than wish you had prepared better!

Woops, running late for work again, tata, Loungettes!
