Just a quick post here for the day since we will be off for a bit. Cammi, I think some of us ( I'm standing right next to you ) could have big adjustments to make if the site is changed much. I did in fact, learn quickly when the tool bar was changed how to use the picture apparatus to put in pics and the paragraph box to put in quotes or other written info. Well, just hoping I'm lucky and will figure it out easily. I've amazed myself a time or two lately.
Mimi....you are SO right. If no one knew our ages....you would not really guess our age. But then, I think every generation is maybe a little younger that the one before when they reach the higher numbers. Your only as old as you feel and since I've never known how to feel any one age.......I can just stay 35 or 45 and happily go along my way.
See you all soon.
Blessings

Jackie, I like that philosophy about age! I think I'll stay 35 or 45, too!

Let us sometimes live—be it only for an hour, and though we must lay all else aside—to make others smile. The sacrifice is only in appearance; no one finds more pleasure for oneself than the person who knows how, without ostentation, to give him or herself to procure for those around them a moment of forgetfulness and happiness.

Still having trouble getting here, and keeping the pictures on the site! The Help page is no help. Is there a way to notify them you are having a problem with the site? Jean

I have a lot of trouble last night. Nothing would post. Finally it worked. But each time I come to BCO, it asks me to log in with my password. Wonder if it's always going to do that?

I had the opposite problem. It said I was logged in although I wasn't and I was only seeing what the public sees.

I was going to say Good Morning. However, since it is noon here, Good Afternoon. It looks like yesterday's "down time" slowed us down. I hope everyone is chugging along with happiness creeping in where it is not expected ... like a surprise gift.
Like I have heard others say, my AI is making me feel "off." I am kind of dizzy/foggy at times and my anxiety has increased. My doc is testing my blood to make sure that the anastrozole has not messed with my thyroid levels. The weather is calling me outside which will raise my spirits.
I am hoping that all of you who are caught in the polar vortex thing will soon be freed from winter's grip.
Take care everyone ... remember you are super people!

Below is the forum for posting tech glitches & site problems. The mods are good about responding.

Hi Everyone,
I've been off the site for awhile...licking my wounds, I guess. My second round of chemo brought on Hand/Foot Syndrome, a reaction to Taxotere. Finally my mo got the memo and took me off Taxotere. This last Wednesday I restarted chemo with Taxol as a replacement. Providentially my mo also cut my dose of Taxol into thirds so for the next 12 weeks I drive 2 1/2 hrs roundtrip for chemo weekly. I am happy to do anything to reduce anymore SE's. I know I am depressed but as I am feeling better this time around, I plan on getting out and walking - even if it's only in my backyard!
I've enjoyed reading back posts and getting caught up again....you girls are the best:)

Oh no, Rabbit. How awful you've had to go through this. Sounds like you are on the right track now.

rabbitvelvet, it's good that your MO has found a way to reduce side effects, but too, too bad you had to go through so much discomfort to get there. Hopefully, some outdoor time will be refreshing. Do you have trees blooming in your yard and/or birds to watch? ... or maybe a squirrel? Our resident squirrel has been sunning himself while waiting for peanuts.

Just in case you need a squirrel and bird to watch.

Sandra, that picture is darling. Our squirrel has not gotten that friendly with our birds ... at least that I've seen ... something to watch for!

Thanks for the link, seems a lot of us are having problems after the work they did ! Sounds like Obama Care site ! Hope it improves.

Welcome Pat.
Rabbit, I to had the 12 weeks of Taxol. I had some pain in my feet, but it went away later.
Well we will have the home study on Tuesday. The pastor of the community church here in our neighborhood got a group of men together and they came in and cleaned up the lot today. I fixed everyone lunch. Its nice to have good neighbors. I guess we will know in a few weeks if Kimber will be comming b ack to Texas.
Have a good day. It is cool here today

Happy birthday to me! Happy Birthday TO me! I'm 71 today. How did I get that old?!
Yesterday I went out to lunch with four of my golf friends. We had a wonderful meal at a lovely restaurant whose building is an old house with wooden floors. I tried to pay my share but they insisted on treating me. Tonight DH and I are meeting another couple for dinner. I made the reservation because I really like this restaurant, which is actually similar to the one yesterday. It's located in an old house on the riverfront in Madisonville. It's elegant with cloth tablecloths and a quiet atmosphere. When I've eaten there before, the food has always been excellent.
This morning I walked for 45 min. and later went to Sam's and spent a small fortune, which usually happens when I go there. Funny how much money you can spend when you get a good price on items!
It's partly cloudy, partly sunny today and very mild, mid 60's. In the sun it feels much warmer. DH is playing golf. I encouraged him to get out and play because he has been working in his woodworking shop every day. He's building an old-fashioned pie safe cabinet.
Hope everyone is having a good Saturday.

Wonderful birthday wishes coming your way Carole. I hope you have lots and lots more of those things too.

Carole, I think its funny that we are the age that shopping at a place like Sam's delights us so much. Turn me loose in Kohl's, Bed, Bath and Beyond, or Sam's, or most any store that routinely has something that will be a bargain price and I think I've died and gone to heaven. Thank goodness I've never been a super serious shopper. Have no taste in clothes, shoes etc. so when I do become a champion buyer it is usually for books or household gadgetry, or food. I'm just terribly exciting that way.
Glad though you enjoyed. Life is meant to be enjoyed....even at the meat counter.
Blessings

Happy Birthday Carole. Do you have a place reserved for the pie safe?
Jackie, I forgot about Kohl's in my search for a spring outfit ... thanks for the reminder.
Hi Bonnets and Mommarch.

Has anyone heard from ritajean recently? How is she doing?

Ritajean may be having trouble getting here too! I still can't get here the way I used to. Made a new bookmark and that is the only way I don't get a notice there is no such website!
