in the 'olden days', some kids would use a number line to learn to count, add, subtract etc......they could count forward & backward on the line, pointing with their fingers.

you could just use a ruler for your number line.....I am sure it would NOT be encouraged with CORE as you are supposed to conceptualize everything.....I do could do a long dissertation about what I think of it, but since this is a game site, and it is not a fun subject, I won't!
