Great pics. That's my goal too Lover!

The cat being shaved....I have a flame point Himmie. I was out of town for a couple of weeks and the cat sitter didn't brush him, so I had to get him shaved. The woman who shaved him left his head fluffy, all but about 2" of his tail fluffy, and his paws below the elbows fluffy. The rest was down to the skin, with one exception - she left two tufts of fur on his hind end so it looked like he'd not been neutered. It was horrible and hilarious all at the same time. Poor kitty. Lucky for him, he's never had any self-respect, so he was ok with it.

Kiwi, We call that a lion cut. Stray cats often need shaving.

Hi Wren - yes, I know it was a lion cut (have had others shaved), but the way she did poor Nitro was even more so, if that makes sense. And leaving him with "balls" was just OTT. Funny but OTT. :)

Love all the cat pictures, particularly the kittens. Last year there was a feral in my neighborhood who had 8 kittens. Six survived. It was absolutely fascinating watching her take care of them. Mom and babies were hard to trap for spaying. Kittens were 8-9 months old before they were caught and when mom got caught she was pregnant. The person who trapped mom said she was given an abortion then spayed. Poor little thing took months before she looked normal. Kitten Inn does such a great service.

Edited to say: oops, posted to wrong thread

My Dad used to make these beautiful pictures... They have kits, like Paint-by-number kits, only they were embroidery pictures, and you would sew them yourself!

Her brilliantness lives in Ohio, 1,000 miles from me. Thank Dog. Some houses do have fireplaces here, only used in Jan and Feb.
