Sloan, that's really encouraging on your biopsy. Maybe you will get a little sleep. Praying everything will be fine on EVERYTHING! Holding you in my arms.

LTF, that's awful. Smart of you to go to the ER. Hope your fever is nothing. Shoot, hope it's not the flu. Praying for you.

    HUGS!!!!

LTF - chest xray and fever? Are they thinking pneumonia? Glad you went to ER!!

MLP - I'm with the others on NOT going near the whooping cough guy! ....Or, he could be classy and keep his sick self home!

Peggy - It looks like 4 of us might road trip it up to see you when you get settled! Get your project list going!

Octogirl, Molly, Moondust - Camping up the western U.S. states sounds great!

I'll keep this short, I had a long day. Got a wig and visited with my best friend.

Sloan- praying for good results- scar tissue would be great!

LTFly- hope you get a clear x-Ray, and can go home to rest soon.

    Peggy- congrats on the house!

Poodles- so happy to hear that your wounds are healing.

MLP- I'm with everyone here. It's unfortunate, but not worth the risk- even if the kid stayed away at this point.

I'm sure I missed people, but hugs to all of you, hoping you're all doing well. Prayers to all

Wow! You gals are prolific! I haven't read for a day (maybe day and a half) and I was 5 pages behind. Still going to be three behind as I post this cause it is just time for bed - today consisted of PT, MO appointment, and an appointment at a local wig shop.

    Highlights -

    • PT session was not as good as it was the facility PT (LE specialist) vs. my normal PT (go to her tomorrow night). Anyway, today's PT said no cording, no evidence of lymphedema (swelling seems to only be surgery related; gave tips on how to progress into aerobics when I'm ready for that), said I'm doing really well for 3 weeks post op.
    • MO visit - she answered questions (I'm still processing), scheduled appointment for "Education Training" with nurse, tentatively schedule 1st chemo session for April 6th (only tentative as must wait for insurance approval). There's more on this, but need to do some reading first to see if I have questions for any of you on that.
    • Visit to wig shop resulted in picking a color and narrowing to a few styles. Need to think more and ponder pics regarding styles.

Anyway, mostly wanted to write to express thanks for the quick laughs while waited for the dog to come back in.

    • Poodles - pj's picking up stray cats!! Haha (especially with poodles for part of a screen name)!!
    • Stellamaris - that list was great. I love: To hang up more clothes buy bigger door knobs. I already use the banister between kitchen and family room and foot board post. If those get any worse, my hubby might have a stroke.
    • As for the PTSD - why is startles easily on that? What about chemo/BC experiences causes this? Is there anyone on the AC-T protocol that has NOT experienced the chemo fog?

Well, thanks for the laughs ladies! Nite.

Jill, I'm so glad to hear your blood counts and everything checked out okay. Glad you are going home.

Sloan, I'm glad the biopsy is over and you'll have the results by next week.

MLP, stay away. You don't even need to explain.

Molly, my prayers for you son, and I'm looking forward to meeting you! I think we will have such great fun!

Everyone else, I'll catch up with you tomorrow.

I'm beat and heading for bed!

Jill, you were smart to have gone to the ER--far better to have had it be less worrisome and be discharged with some peace of mind than to wait and see. One thing I’ve learned from bc is that once dx’ed, our hypochondriac days are over. There’s no such thing as overreacting, only being vigilantly proactive.

Sloan, big preliminary “whew!” pending results. But since radiologists see lots and lots of tumors, they tend to know a false alarm when they see one. Odds are even stronger it’s just scarring--in fact, my surgeon’s nurse warned me not to freak out about what might feel like a lump in the tumor bed because it’s almost always scar tissue or radiation fibrosis (and sharp pains are likely to be nerve pathways re-establishing). But she also assured me I should never feel too embarrassed to ask!

Got Bob’s brackets e-mailed to B’way Cellars for the annual March Madness marathon. (I never did get into that myself). Tomorrow night we’re going over there for St. Pat’s. Gotta dig up my green silk shirt and hope it isn’t stained from when it did Mardi Gras duty. Hope I don’t have to go with my dark green Folk Alliance hoodie instead.

Jill, YIPPEEE!! That's great news. Mentally I'm sure you feel better; bodily, probably not so much yet. Now you can relax knowing it isn't anything awful!

Happy St Paddy's Day, BCO'ers! I think we all need an excuse to party and be happy. So many are having tough times. Maybe a bit of green beer (or just smiling about it) will help lift everyone's spirits.

PontiacPeg - you are so right - it's nice to take a moment on St. Paddy's to stop and be happy! a lot of us are going through tough times.

I'm celebrating today because I'm seeing my specialist! I never thought I would say I'm excited (and nervous) about going to the doctor's!

thanks all! So depressed. This is the second time I've gotten sick right after chemo. My head hurts so much Im taking Tylenol 3 left over from surgery. It is March break and I'm off work with my kids, I feel so bad that I've been sick. At least my younger one is actually in programs, because it's very hard to keep both of them occupied together they are six years apart, but I feel bad for the older when she had such high hopes for our week together!

Heatheret, good luck with your specialist visit today!

Jill, no wonder you're down. On top of being sick you are feeling guilty about not being able to do things you had planned with your kids. That's hard. But you didn't choose to be sick. Hopefully, you'll feel good enough to do something with them, even at home. Don't beat yourself up over something you have no control over (easier said than done, I know). Just get well ASAP! And get rid of that headache - I know that would help a lot.

    HUGS!

Heathet- hope you get good info from your visit with the specialist today.

Jill- glad you don't have pneumonia but sorry you have felt so badly and especially during your break.

Moon, Molly, Octogirl and Sloan- camping to see Peggy- sounds like fun and something to look forward to doing together

Sloan-Hope you slept better last night. Sounds like good news to me. Also, hoping the rest of the tests go well. You def need a break

LTF - so glad you didn't have to be admitted (been there, done that, don't want to do it again!) Take care

MLP - Whooping Cough! OMG! Stay far, far away!

Sloan - praying for scar tissue, sounds good so far.

Off to third Rad today - not glowing yet

Kaneli- We all have different treatments and types of BC. My RO went over in detail about the risks+/- in tubular breast cancer in taking hormones. There is a 1% improvement rate for me to take the hormones so I reviewed the side effects of the hormones. So when I balanced out the odds and side effects it was not in my favour to take hormones. As well out of all the cases reported only 1% are tubular in their pathology.

Thank you for that input, Brightsocks. I have not gotten an MO yet, but I will be sure to explore and discuss the stats, and consider the fact that it is tubular, etc.in deciding about the Hormone therapy.

Just have to share that my "breast cancer fairy godsister-in-law" who was diagnosed triple negative in '11 just had her mammogram today and all is clear. Five years clear -- a big deal, especially for TN! I am just so happy for her. I told her I wouldn't post my excitement on Facebook, but didn't tell her about here. ;-)

Hey Peachy2! That's awesome about your sister in law! My sister in law is also Triple Negative, with the BRCA gene, and she is 15 years cancer free now! She has been one of my (many) rocks since the beginning of my new journey....These are hopeful stories for all of us!

Kaneli, how wonderful! Yes, this gives us hope!! Unfortunately, though fortunately, I had my sister in law's experience to draw on. She has been such a support in the past nine months, and my husband, son and I couldn't have made it through it without her.

    Great news Peachy!

Ltf- you poor thing((big hug)). At least your counts are good and you can rest now and get better😘

Sloan- I'm going with scar tissue👍🏻

Soooo.... Thank you to all of your thoughts on my dilemma. You are all correct! My mo said to stay away but she's concerned that I was exposed when I was at the house this past Monday. Fabulous. And they cannot, for the life of them, understand why they didn't tell me other than that they really wanted me at the wedding. Just a bit clueless about chemo/cancer patients. She did add two pink roses to her all white bouquet for me so I'll be there in spirit😊

MLP, hoping that you picked up nothing when you visited on Monday. The two pink roses -- how sweet!!
