Ruth, doing a happy dance for you!
Jackie, good to know you have a referral to a place where, hopefully, you will be seen as an entire person. It appears your previous heart doctor saw only your heart. My complaint about many specialists is that they see only their specialty instead of the whole picture.

Ruth, I'm so glad your dog is back with you. I bet he has some interesting stories to tell!

Jackie, wow, a week in the hospital! How are you feeling now that you're home? What did your pcp have to say today? Thinking of you and hoping you're feeling okay.
Ruth, very happy to hear your dog has been found! Hope his paw is on the mend. I can imagine how very relieved you are!
Editted to add: Jackie I hadn't seen your post about going to the pcp. It sounds like you potentially have some serious surgery ahead of you. Hope you are able to take it easy in the meantime.

I am finally home and sitting down. To make a long story short (er), we and some friends searched for Bruno all morning. About noon we got a call from a lady who had seen the social media 'Want Ads', and said there was a dog who looked like Bruno in her yard. He was scared, shivering & wouldn't let her near him, but also wasn't running away. We zoomed over and there he was!! He had hiked up a long hill (in the exact opposite direction from our house), crossed a HIGHWAY (it must have been in the middle of the night), gone down a dead-end street, and a steep driveway to end up there!! He was so happy to see us that his tail almost wagged right off and he basically leaped into my arms. He was limping & one of his paws was puffy so we made a stop at the vet on the way home. Happily he doesn't have a broken bone, just a sprain. He's on anti-inflammatory/pain pills for the next 9 days, and has strict orders not to rough-house for a week, preferably two. So, a happy ending to this chapter. Thank you for all your caring thoughts and good wishes!

Ruth - so relieved you found him and there doesn't appear to be any lasting damage. Woo Hoo.

I'm so glad Bruno is home and on the mend! What an adventure. Poor little guy.
All the best for some solid answers, Jackie.

Jackie, I am glad you are being referred to a place that will have the expertise to handle your care.
*my patient woke up, hobbled outside to use the bathroom, ate & drank a little more, and is back sleeping on the sofa.

A good night's rest for you, your DH and Bruno.

Going to bed after hearing the finally home Bruno ( Mr. Pups ) chapters. I'm sure my sleep won't include nightmares now but happy interludes with furry friends. So glad about your ad since it seems Bruno was too afraid to share his "collar" information. Our furry friends just live for us and however they can please us so I'm sure all his previous misery did evaporate the minute he saw " his " people. Now life is good.

Forgot to add, thanks for all the kind thoughts on my medical ordeal. Hoping we can make this happen soon so all the fancy tests I had at the first hospital don't have to be repeated. Good things our kids ( daughter and son-in-law ) are home and living with us. Going to be our lifeline since both Dh and I came home same day within two hrs. of each other. First Dh picked up from back surgery at a hospital 23 miles from us then when son-in-law got him home and settled, he drove to the hosp. 75 miles away from us to get me.

I’m thinking good thoughts for good health for you and your husband!

I'm so glad that your daughter and SIL are there to help out, Jackie. It will make things so much easier to manage!
Bruno slept like a log and is still pretty content to just sleep and veg. The swelling on his paw is a little better too. Maybe next year I should dress him up as an angel. This year he was an inmate and apparently wanted to live up to his name!

What a SUPRISE in my unvaccinated, unmasked, 'we don't want any rules' state, our local Walmart is shutting down until Monday for deep cleaning. 20 of their employees have tested positive for Covid. Who could have ever predicted that would happen.....have to log of so I can start banging my head against the wall.

What a great picture, er mugshot. He looks a wee bit contrite. All of us here and you were so upset and scared and I'm certain he was too. I'm sure now he will do all in his power to earn the better costume for next yr. for such a handsome boy. He is I know feeling for sure " Home is where the Heart Is. " Hugs to you sweet boy from all of us here.

Also loving the fact that Walmart in your area Ruth is getting its well deserved reality check. I think ( well its happening in ours here ) they seems to be running short-staffed lately. The loss of 20 employees must be difficult -- and obviously cheaper to clean the store than allow more people to fall ill. Yes, banging the head on people's refusals for common sense. Is there anyone left who has some.

Ruth,
Bruno looks like he is accepting his disorderly conduct charge and even seems to be a bit remorseful. Glad he’s on the mend!

Ruth, don't bang your head too hard, one gentle tap only please.

She so typifies the Peter Principle ( which I know is and old and outdated idea ) that it is stunning. She should have stayed where she was and hopefully kept hold of some standards and ethics instead of trying to turn herself into a mini-Trumpette. He is so done for all time.

And he apparently dislikes dogs and likely any pet.

Yesterday I had a table at the local Christmas craft show. We had over 700 shoppers come through the doors and every one of them had to show proof of double vaccination (so did the vendors, of course.) Not one single incident of complaining or holding up the line by anti-vaxxers. It went really smoothly! And I had a great (profitable) day!

It really does seem to be this way right now. So hoping that air-tight cases are being set up with an almost impossibility to fail factor.

As always I am not crazy about some of the language used to present this idea, but I do find the idea as solid as can be. This guy just does not pull punches.

Something great to remember and to add to the huge infrastructure bill just passed. Yes, a few hold-outs and issues, but we are far more together than the media will own up to and the R's are still in their chaos mode.

Where do they get these names -- but now put to good use.

Another note here as I've been reading that CNN is in a real ratings/viewership slump. They tried very hard to hire Rachel Maddow away for MSNBC and it sounds like their may have been some slight temptation. Instead MSNBC changed Rachel's hours and she opted to stay where she is. Also at the same time it was said that CNN has been rather harsh in its somewhat constant critique that the Dems. just were unable to get it done ( they said we would not get infrastructure through ) and that we were in dis-array all the time. The ye old ratings game at work. CNN is shading things and giving credit to the rt. which doesn't deserve it. I would suppose ( jut my outlook from what I read ) they thought having Rachel on board would turn things around. Not going to happen and they need to quit mainly lying to keep viewership. In the end -- I think it is those who come closest to how things REALLY are so if they don't fuel the ship with something much closer to truth they can stay in third place and who knows -- maybe drift further down.

Just a note here. I do watch CNN and generally can be okay, but I've been a mite disgusted for awhile now about all the news that tends to cater toward ratings on ANY channel, even my favorite of MSNBC. CNN has just been fairly blatant as of late. I haven't watched them as much because of it.

A little Rachel truth.

Long time ago ( not sure it still goes on ) there were people ( you can imagine which side they were on ) who liked to turn Rachel's last name into madcow. I'm sure she is still laughing at those same people with where she is and where they are.

Yes, Mr. maybe you have had one too many concussions as someone said. Go home and enjoy passing GO and not being able to play or collect money. And as also said -- what about concerns over steroids' and fertility. Another one too smart to hear what he is actually saying which puts him in the stupid as a box of rocks category.
