Divine, I so love that last one about a monster under the bed. So true for now, for sure. It boggles my mind as to how the R's ( even with suppression ) don't seem to be on much of a path to having a healthy, viable party. They are eating their own as the worst of the worst ( Gosar, Boebert, Green, Cruz, and several others ) take their aggressive and hostile stances.

We can only hope some of the latest rulings will get some Jan 6 information in the hands of the 1/6 committee and that along with the over all dis-array added to the fact that Pres. Biden is actually doing well, will turn the tide and help Democratic voters see they need to show up in huge numbers.

Fingers crossed not only on these two but the whole pathetic total loons that have allowed themselves to be ruined by the head loon. Like Mark Meadows who will be another one of the Loo's has beens. He had a fairly safe seat in the Senate that he gave up to sit next to Trump in the WH. Another stupid sucker bites the dust.

May be an image of text that says 'Middle Age Riot @middleageriot It's going to be really awkward when Kayleigh McEnany walks into the prison cafeteria and Kellyanne Conway is wearing the same outfit she is.'

Like ruth, I have become a new pet mom. I’ve been looking for a rescue dog for about 9 months. I saw a picture of my new baby last week and knew she was the one. She is a rescue from Texas and was flown to CA by a rescue organization. After being spayed, micro chipped, and given a clean bill of health (3 weeks ago) she is now mine. She is a year old and her name is Pumpkin. She is funny, lively, friendly, and very sweet. Here she is with my younger dd who rushed over to my house this morning to meet her. She weighs a whopping 7 1/2 lbs.

Oh Caryn, Congratulations!!!! A bonus will be seeing your kids a lot too as Pumpkin will be an extra draw to get together. So much fun!

    * if you ever want to trade dogs for a week, I'd be willing to temporarily exchange the 78 pound Bruno for a little Pumpkin-size fun! 🥰

Happy, happy and congrats Exbrnxgrl to your newly rescued friend. She is a charmer. I know I would tend to nick-name her Punkie. Have no idea about dogs but cats are said to respond better to names that end in IE - like Callie, Dilly, Dally, Jimmie -- which are just a few of the names around here. Love the white on her face and chest. I offer a toast to a long happy life with Punkie and she with you.

and I read that the judge in this case has something about Trump as the ring-tone on his phone. Guess who is going to get possibly really good treatment before this guy. Just really imagine if he were black or brown. Grrr.

This is the same judge who declared that the people Rittenhouse shot weren't "victims", and the prosecution could not call them such. They instead could use the words "looters" or "rioters" if they chose. Biased much?

I'm so disgusted with the Loon's crowd. People who should know better, and people who should never take an oath they don't intend to keep. Well maybe the Loon wasn't anywhere near the radar when this judge took his oath, but it doesn't matter. If these people don't recognize ( meaning they see themselves as perfectly normal ) their biases, then they should have to go back to school to learn about biases and oaths and if we don't see improvement -- they should be replaced. Too many people getting let off and too many people paying a price they don't owe. It's disgusting and tiresome in the extreme and period.

Not quite daily, but way too much the Loon continues to take up much of our time. The only way to be rid of him is to get rid of the people who think they have to continue to cater to him and his horrendous ideas. I've read over and over ( even while I've seem some people pulling away ) that Loon will not be actually running in '24. His businesses are on the downslide pretty good -- all losing money and his new way to get money is to keep his grift going by allowing as many as possible to believe he will run in '24. Still I do know he is BAD for the Reps. party and he can continue to cause them grief. I just would like to see him out of the news cycles a lot more than he is. It was said if people would start turning off the news when the " he is going to run in '24 and wipe everyone totally out " comes on -- the media might catch on and quit treating us to the fear and upset. No longer sure of that. They are stuck it seems heavily in trying to keep up the ratings.

I read a really scary thing today - quoting Tim Miller in TheBulwark: "Democrats and never-Trump Republicans need a 'wake-up call'...With President Biden's approval ratings dropping into the low 40s, a 'wannabe authoritarian lunatic' who incited a mob to overthrow our democracy is the 'odds-on favorite' to make a comeback. Everyone who doesn't want to see a second Trump term better do everything possible to prevent it - starting NOW."

Agree Minus Two. I really think the Trump talk of running is more for a money flow to himself, but it is so worrisome that so many R's continue to hold him up as their "standard" allowing people like the extreme right to encourage bad issues and we get people like Gosar and others to keep the pot boiling over. We can't let down our guard -- knowing we are all sick of Trump and his kind and long to be done with it. It is dangerous to rest too long or look away too often.

So true Divine. It is a sad day when we try to avoid the help so long and carefully crafted by medical scientists and volunteers in studies of life-saving vaccines. I suppose even the Loon is not entirely responsible since there are always nay-sayers to anything and everything who must put out the contrary view because they can have some stature for a time. I really don't know how I would have done as a parent w/o shows like Sesame St. and Mr. Rogers to help put a bit of cement on things I hoped my children would learn well. Always thought of it as so positive to have non-parental back-up in forms so acceptable to little ones.

And yes, he and his mother who took him across state lines to do ???? should both be not only ashamed but in jail. Like what wasn't known about what you were going to do. Okay, Okay -- you were only trying to look cool with that AR-15 well loaded. You could look cool and not have all that ammunition in the thing which was illegal to you.

There was a close-up pic. I saw on Rittenhouse and I did see one tear on one side. Didn't move me. I figure if you had talk yourself into going to a riot, you can listen while a lawyer explains how contrite you need to appear if your on the stand. He is coming off like a boy scout and I think something of a bully with a weapon fits better.

May be an image of 1 person and text that says 'Kyle Rittenhouse broke down when he remembered feeling fearful & cornered by two of the men he later killed. Kyle, you chose to arm yourself and be driven into the middle of a rapidly deteriorating volatile situation to act out your White Savior fantasy. If you truly wanted to avoid feeling fearful & cornered. You could have kept your George Zimmermann-wannabe a$$ home! American News X'

Right, Jackie. The fact is, getting the vaccine makes sense. Getting the majority of people vaccinated makes sense. Lying about your vaccine status makes no sense. Endangering the health and lives of those you interact with makes no sense.

Rittenhouse reminded me of a toddler who isn't getting his way. Scrunch up your eyes, gulp for air, twist your mouth, wave your hands in the air (with luck - turn blue) " I want balloon, I want balloon" oops - should have said ":And then I saw him behind me and (gasp, gulp, whinge) and and and...." I didn't buy it for a second. He came back minutes later without red eyes or red nostrils from wiping snot away. What a load of BS and the judge treats him like he is just a poor little boy. Just disgusted.

Can we recognize our oneness, though? And what will happen if we

not only start to see that we are connected to the other human beings

in our lives, but also start to live as if that were true? Would we

become more compassionate if we were to recognize the same hopes

and dreams that we have, there in someone else? Would we be able

to help someone else feel more hope in their lives? Would we feel

more at home and at peace in our own places in this world if we were

to keep in mind that we are an important part of the human race, and

that we have many chances every day to improve the lot of humanity

by improving the life of a fellow human being, even in tiny ways?
