IllinoisLady: "ETA: Mirianda, I was typing this as you put your piece in -- I don't care -- I wish we could sent them all too jail. I do know it is likely a few Democrats might have to go too."
I fully agree. If a Dem participates in grossly illegal behavior, yeah, they should be prosecuted too. But Jan 6 should be beyond-the-pale levels of unacceptable.

Imagine your mind as a garden and thoughts as the seeds you plant. Habitual
negative, unhealthy, self-critical thoughts produce the weeds and thistles of
depression, discontent, and anxiety in the garden of your mind. Luckily, the
opposite is also true. Consistently planting positive, healthy, constructive
thoughts will yield a crop of beautiful feelings, such as gratitude, love, and joy.

Yes, and Rep. Loudermilk needs to go there very soon. Amazing - he not only broke the rule/edict that there were to be NO visitors -- tours at the time, but tours don't take place where he had these people as well. Then he lied about the tour -- then finally said it was a family. It is almost inconceivable to me that the outright lies are used as cover-up when these people ( Loudermilk ) had to have known there would be evidence for what he did. He in fact, should have known when 1/6 asked him to aappear that he couldn't keep up lying. Just an amazing thing.

ROBERT'S needs to wake up to the world. He could move to redeem the poor image and actions of the court but he so far has chosen to coddle Gini and Clarence Thomas and is just making it worse for the court. Is there going to be any redeemption for the court or the Reps. Long time coming, maybe.

I'm watching the hearings. Apparently Mike Pence DOES have balls. I never thought I'd say this, but thank goodness he was the vice president. If it had been any number of Trump flunkies in the job, democracy would have been over on January 6th.

While I agree with you to a certain extent ruth, he kept silent until our democracy was on the brink of collapse. He spent the previous four years gazing with adoring eyes atTrump 🤬.

exbrnxgrl: I totally agree about Pence's adoring looks. But I do recall at one point towards the end, his focus was more on 45's back. Maybe plotting where to stick the knife? I will give him credit for doing what was good and proper and in the Constitution, but he had to ask the likes of Dan Quayle if he could refuse to certify? Wow.
Loving the memes. While fearing the worst for you guys down south of me, I have have some out loud laughs.

Elderberry, we fear too. I consider Pence a dull penny, but in reality I think he knew from the start how BAD the Loon was. He wasn't doing well with reelection for Indiana Governor and so turnding down VP was just about impossible. His dream was to continue on as politician and what better way to do that. He did do the right thing, but somewhere in his 'gut' I think he realized that Trump and his minnions would not be able to carry off the grand cooked up and really half-baked scheme -- and that any hope of a contination of his political life would be forever vanquished if he became any part of that. Just hard to swallow his willingness to be a large part of everything else.
I guess in this one instance I'm still in love/hate category wit Pence over doing the right thing at last.

'Just insane': George Conway calls for Trump lawyer to be 'disbarred and prosecuted' after new revelations

Reacting to recent news reports suggesting that Trump lawyer John Eastman may have had a back channel of communication to the Supreme Court as he worked to invalidate the 2020 election results, Washington Post contributor George Conway said on CNN that the attorney should be "disbarred" and "prosecuted."
Conway went on to say that he thinks Eastman "was just blowing smoke in some of these emails" since all avenues to get the Supreme Court to consider bogus voter fraud claims had been exhausted, but the content of the emails, where Eastman allegedly suggested that violence in the streets would convince SCOTUS to see things Trump's way was "appalling."
In regards to the Jan. 6 committee subpoenaing Ginni Thomas to testify, Conway said that "it was headed this way."
"The fact that she chose to involve herself in this appalling attempt to overturn an election was deeply problematic for her husband, deeply problematic for the Supreme Court ... it just raises too many questions that deserve answers."

Not looking so good these days. Maybe he's saving his money for lawsuits and not using his make-up. Looks like a REAL loser and older than Biden for sure.

I, in no way, like Pence or the philosophy he stands for; but he literally risked his life to defend the Constitution in the end. I wonder if they would still be trying to spin things if they had actually hanged Mike Pence. Is even murder a step to far?
Glad to hear the committee is going to be visiting with Ginni. What a unhinged, dreadful woman, and married to a creepy sexual predator man who gets to decide the laws of our country. What could go wrong?

Ruth - Maybe Ginni is on of those Q nuts who thinks she can outsmart the committee with her version of the facts. Should be an interesting interview.

Iwatched my youngest granddaughter most of the day and finally sat down to watch today’s Jan. 6th hearing. It really is sickening. On a less important note, the Hon. Judge Luttig has just redefined what cautious, measured responses sound like. While I appreciate precision in language, it was almost painful to listen to him, though I appreciate his testimony. Did anyone notice how John Eastman was frequently referred to as Dr. Eastman? Of course he is not a medical doctor but remember all the right wing blow back over Jill Biden being referred to as Dr. Biden? Anyway, Eastman is simply a disgrace, period.

Certainly in agreement with your aassessments ( exbrnxgrl and Ruth ) of Pence, Eastman, and the Thomasses. While I have never cared one whit, ever for Pence ( always think of what appeared to be such adoring looks at the Loon ) I certainly concede he was brave to stand up for all of us on 1/6. Just not so great that we had to be down to the wire for him to do so.
I knew something was nagging me about these hearings and you woke it up, exbrnxgrl. Yes -- Dr. Eastman's great title, while that side was bound and determined not to bestow the honor on First Lady Jill Biden who not only earned it but holds it in the honor and esteem it deserves unlike black-guard Eastman.
I read somewhere or maybe they said it on one of the programs, that Eastman full well deserves to be stripped of his law license and I would add to that --- just for openers. He along with anyone who joined in should get as much of the book thrown at them as is possible. I have to admit -- I have a harsh side to me.
Again, I'm happy to be able to view the televised portion of the hearings although still feel as though I've heard most of it. At least partial parts anyway. I think Fox is lost in the shuffle of it all. They got nervous and showed the second day of the hearings, but don't know if they did today's. Must have made the 'hosts' who have spent so mucy time lying about it all feel a little odd to know their viewers ( whether they believed or not ) were getting some REAL truth for a change. Maybe some not such good magas will continue to wonder or question what they learn on their favorite channel. Too many questions and who knows -- maybe Fox will fade as much as the Loon.

Is this giving WAlmart a bad name -- but maybe it goes this far.

Walmart might not want them. They have discontinued selling My Pillow, so maybe wouldn't want to hire My Trump.
I checked and FOX was airing the hearing yesterday.
As far as Eastman goes, anyone who asks for a presidential pardon before being accused of a crime is probably guilty of something!!!
