Sure makeds you wonder how anyone can have an ounce of respecct for the clueless out of touch Reps.

How is it that the DIFERENCE doesn't totally startle everyone. It is beyond me because I see something like this and feel like I have been punched - hard.

Well, you could have. All you had to do was wave your hands over it and say it was de-classified.

Leaked Pentagon Report Lays Out Why Trump Should Be Charged With Treason For January 6

In the midst of the horrific mayhem that was taking place at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, Vice President Mike Pence telephoned the acting defense secretary and told him:
"Clear the Capitol."
According to a leaked Pentagon document, the timeline of what transpired next makes it clear that Pence's order was overruled, and could only have been countermanded by one man: President Donald Trump.

The Associated Press (AP) obtained the Pentagon document which lays out a very clear and damning timeline:
"But order would not be restored for hours.
"These new details about the deadly riot are contained in a previously undisclosed document prepared by the Pentagon for internal use that was obtained by The Associated Press and vetted by current and former government officials.
"The timeline adds another layer of understanding about the state of fear and panic while the insurrection played out, and lays bare the inaction by then-President Donald Trump and how that void contributed to a slowed response by the military and law enforcement. It shows that the intelligence missteps, tactical errors and bureaucratic delays were eclipsed by the government's failure to comprehend the scale and intensity of a violent uprising by its own citizens."The inaction of Donald Trump. Just as he failed to control the COVID-19 pandemic, Trump also failed to protect everyone in the Capitol on that fateful day. That alone is a form of treason, because it violates the very oath of office a president takes when inaugurated while one of his hands is raised and other rests on a Bible.
As Trump dithered and encouraged the insurrectionists with his silence, Pentagon officials — along with White House aides, Congressional leaders, and Mike Pence — tried to manage the crisis from a secure underground facility. Trump never once called them or checked to see how they were doing. He abdicated his role as leader of the county and allowed a deadly riot to continue.
Some have suggested that Trump should be charged with sedition for stirring up the crowd that attacked the Capitol, but treason is a more fitting charge.
Here's the difference between sedition and treason:
"While seditious conspiracy is generally defined as conduct or language inciting rebellion against the authority of a state, treason is the more serious offense of actively levying war against the United States or giving aid to its enemies."
Donald Trump gave aid to domestic terrorists who were attacking Congress. If that's not treason, then what in the hell is?

No one can give a definition of the soul. But we know what it feels like.
The soul is the sense of something higher than ourselves, something that
stirs in us thoughts, hopes, and aspirations which go out to the world of
goodness, truth and beauty. The soul is a burning desire to breathe in
this world of light and never to lose it--to remain children of light.

I too want to wish you the best of luck Miriandra. It all seems daunting, but it is just mental for us who are not having to actually live it at the moment. We are indeed highly hopeful spectators though. Hugs.

Just makes me all the more disgusted with the Reps. It does sure seem like they are in huge disarray and hopefully cutting their own throats, but as elections go, I don't feel like either side has much they can feel sure about. I do think though if anyone has an advantage it should certainly be coming from our side. I can't recall a prior ( years past before the orange one ) time when I looked at the Reps. party and thought of them as mainly and surely big time NUTS. They seem un-afraid for the most part and forging ahead, just like their orange leader and counterpart.
To think, now quite long ago, they had a chance to turn and run from him -- and we would really likely have the outcome usually predicted for the party in power. He has put a lot of un-certainlty in elections sadly, but his side is the worst for wear for it and many would like to get out from under but don't know how because they feel like they need the Maga's. Well, they likely sure do. He offed many of his own during the pandemic and then ruined special elections by putting forward un-qualified people, many lawbreakers or harsh extremists. The only way for the Reps. to win is if they find every cheat on the books and then some.

I doubt this is true, but it’s funny.

Love the memes. They are great. Hope Abbott and his copy cat DeSantis suffer for what they did -- using migrants so callously as they have. I know there are people just like the two of them who will be applauding, but I hope it all comes back to haunt them, all of them, the applauders too, in triple spades.

Bears repeating often -- especially for Reps.

I don't buy Patagonia so don't know about this comment, but it is from Occupy Democrats which usually doesn't get things wrong much.
