Unfortunately, they are finding out. In fairness — likely not one person ever read about that grant to begin with and so might not even know just why this is happening to them. Beware — if it looks too good to be true — it just may turn out that way.

Not sure why people still believe there is pie in the sky. I guess somewhere along the way I became skeptical about everything. You almost have to prove everything to me and that would go double or triple for anyone I found out to be a con man, liar, cheat, evil and lowdown caring for nothing or no one but himself the FIRST time around.
It was said so many of the voters going for Trump were the ones who have little time or energy left to spend on politics so only started paying attention the last three weeks before election. Hate to admit I was close to one of those people. I did however have the benefit of a family (husband and mother especially) who could share ideas with me those last three weeks when I was raising kids, keeping house, working etc. So, I made the correct choices after all — but I do understand that three weeks is not enough to really understand with your whole heart fully. You could be duped.

I don't care for the picture, but the sentiment is great. I do hope the people who can (so far it seems to be going that way) keep stepping up to deal with this guy and Musk all the way to the point of being rid of both.

None of the above surprises me much. FG spoke about tariffs and his intentions to use them during his campaign. He is mainly about things that punish others, whether or no. The fact that it is not deserved makes no difference to him and he has no true understanding that he is further degrading the U.S. in more ways than one.
After seeing him in action the first time in 2016, I'm sure the majority of countries do know that in general the common man doesn't have anything to do with what's going on. Yes, world, the silent majority are cringing and very un-happy about the damages and harm, as well as the reputation that comes by having re-hired one of the worst leaders there ever was. It is causing not only us harms, but so many others in far-away places that depend on the U.S.

I am of the opinion the child didn't need to be there (used) for whatever reasoning Musk could dream up. Children that age are better left at home playing with their puppy or watching Sesame Street. That was lousy.

It's true McConnell's' backbone has shown up really late and is not a very effective protest, but all he did was use events for his own greed and power earlier — much like FG is doing, but he didn't burn down the whole house doing it. McConnell is likely done after this anyway so doesn't really hurt a thing that he protests. Note to Mitch: doesn't make up for those years when you were a taker.
