RFK is basically eliminating Science in cancer research and that leaves little for scientific advisors to do. We are going back to the dark ages and that has been thoroughly explored by these scientists and found highly wanting. No use for them to hang around and only to get fired later I would imagine.

I would love to see pictures from all over for May Day. Miriandra the tide has turned, and I do think these protests are one of the things that will really help to keep people thinking on just what is going on in their government and in the end will generate the enthusiasm to ignore Trump and get far better (meaning a lot of hard-working Democrats) people elected in the next elections. Trumps approval numbers sound like they are in the toilet to stay (fingers crossed) and I hope that he will soon be all but neutralized and the Reps. (those that will) can make a lot of their decisions on a better level.

Of course, where he has to admit that any 'numbers' are a bit off, he is saying it is due to Biden. Even many of the Maga easily now see that Biden's programs actually helped them and all of Trumps is now removing jobs, money, and anything decent from them. In the last three-month quarter Pres. Biden was only in ofc. approx. 19 days. The rest of that time period has been Trumps and my God was he busy with his and Musk's destruction derby. Home fry, it was you and the people you are trying to dupe are not buying it.

BREAKING: MAGA Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth gets crushing news as the Pentagon Inspector General expands his investigation into SignalGate — probing a second group chat that Hegseth created with his wife, brother, and lawyer.

Trump was desperately hoping this scandal would fizzle out but instead it's exploding...

According to the Wall Street Journal, which spoke to a a congressional aide and a source "familiar with the inquiry," Inspector General Steven Stebbins is investigating the second Signal chat, which Hegseth created before he took office. It remained active after he was sworn in.

"The Pentagon inspector general is focused, in part, on who took information from a government system for highly-classified information and put it into Hegseth’s commercial Signal app, the person familiar with the inquiry said," the Journal writes.

The probe was kicked off by the outrage caused when it was revealed that Hegseth and other top Trump officials had shared sensitive details about an attack on the Houthis in Yemen. The chat was so unsecured in fact, that then-National Security Adviser Mike Waltz accidentally added the Editor-in-Chief of The Atlantic to the conversation.

Stebbins announced the investigation last month but until now it wasn't clear that he is also looking into the group chat with Hegseth's wife, brother, and personal attorney.

There is, of course, no excuse for this kind of reckless behavior. Hegseth is utterly unqualified for this job. He's a former Fox News host and an alleged alcoholic. The only reason he has this job is because Trump saw him on TV and thought he looked the part.

Until Hegseth is fired or resigns, America is not safe.

And that is what we are up against. Someone who is smarter than God, who gave us scientists . RFK is now going to prove that only the strong survive his way — if they have enough money to buy help. We won't talk about the rest of us.

BREAKING: 60 Minutes displays true journalistic bravery by preparing to air a segment covering Donald Trump's corrupt targeting of law firms and political enemies — despite his ongoing lawsuit against their parent companies.

If Trump thought that he'd terrified them into silence, he was dead wrong....

"On the campaign trail, President Trump vowed to wield the power of the presidency to go after his perceived enemies. Now in the White House, Trump is using executive orders to target some of the biggest law firms in the country that he accuses of 'weaponizing' the justice system against him," the episode description reads.

Correspondent Scott Pelley will report the segment. As of last month, Trump had extracted nearly $1 billion in pro bono work from top law firms by exploiting the power of his office.

Trump has also launched a massive lawsuit against CBS News, which airs 60 Minutes, and its parent company Paramount Global over a 60 Minutes interview with Kamala Harris. Trump claims that the segment was deceptively edited and amounted to "election interference."

Much to MAGA world's chagrin, that interview has since been nominated for a prestigious Emmy award in the category of "Outstanding Edited Interview."

Most experts agree that Trump's allegations are spurious and plainly designed to extract money and a free PR win from the companies. Trump has the full power of the Oval Office behind him and reports indicate that Paramount Global may simply settle with him out of court rather than take on the presidency.

The corruption is right out in the open on this story, because Shari Redstone — the controlling shareholder of Paramount — is in the midst of trying to sell the company to Hollywood studio Skydance. To do that, she'll need permission from Trump's Federal Communications Commission.

Commentators like Matthew Belloni of Puck News have observed that Trump could be directing the FCC to withhold that permission so that he can use it as leverage in the settlement negotiations with Paramount.

In other words, if Trump gets what he wants, Redstone will get what she wants. Caught in the middle of it all is our right to a free press and the First Amendment itself.

This story needs to be told and I'm glad 60 Minutes will do it. Said so often, if people stand up to a bully, they slink away. Apparently, no one really stood up in the beginning to Trump like the should have. I do think the mental, lack of conscience was so startling to others, they thought they couldn't do anything and that the right person for the job would step forward — but no one did. To the point of the dumbest, meanest and most evil person ever has been allowed to walk right into our Oval Office and take chg.

BREAKING: Donald Trump's insane lie that gas prices are down to $1.98 a gallon gets brutally destroyed by GasBuddy, a company that tracks the cost of fuel across the country.

If you fell for this whopper, we have a bridge we'd like to sell you...

"Gasoline just broke $1.98 a Gallon, lowest in years, groceries (and eggs!) down, energy down, mortgage rates down, employment strong, and much more good news, as Billions of Dollars pour in from Tariffs," Trump wrote on Truth Social.

"Just like I said, and we’re only in a TRANSITION STAGE, just getting started!!! Consumers have been waiting for years to see pricing come down. NO INFLATION, THE FED SHOULD LOWER ITS RATE!!! DJT" he added.

Only a man who gets driven around by others and flies to golf outings on a jet paid for by our tax dollars could be so out of touch as to think that gas prices are down to $1.98 a gallon. His disastrous tariffs are destroying the economy and driving up inflation everywhere, but Trump lives in a bubble of his own making.

GasBuddy was quick to pop that bubble—

"We don’t have any data showing any individual stations below $2 a gallon today nor have we really seen any of that in the last several weeks since these claims have started," said Patrick De Haan, the company's head of petroleum analysis.

GasBuddy's data tracker says that the lowest price in the entire country was $2.63 in Mississippi as of today and the national average is $3.18.

Furthermore, it's entirely possible that even those numbers are artificially low because, with the cost of everything rising, Americans are driving less. As demand for gas goes down, so does the price.

In the words of one of Trumps picks for Sec. of State first time around:

    Fuc***ng Moron.

BREAKING: Democratic superstar Governor JB Pritzker enrages MAGA supporters by slamming Donald Trump as an “authoritarian” as the American economy crumbles.

And he wasn’t done there. This man is starting to sound like a president…

“I think everybody understands that at this point, we’ve got an authoritarian in office,” Pritzker said on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

“He’s essentially tearing apart the things that really matter to working families across the United States, and nobody’s stopping him,” he continued.

“Congress is under the control of his party, and they’re all paying homage to him at all times. No one’s willing to break with him,” said Pritzker.

As usual, the governor is spot on. Republicans are meekly standing by as Trump shreds the global economy with his destructive tariffs. Working families are getting poorer while Trump and his cronies line their pockets.

At the same time, he’s undermining the very foundations of our Constitution by deporting innocent people without due process and defying the Supreme Court.

“The only thing, in my view, that we really can do on a national level is let them know about our displeasure,” Pritzker went on.

Recently, the govenor called for mass protests and said that Americans should vocally oppose MAGA and “fight their cruelty with every megaphone and microphone that we have.”

“If [members of Congress] don’t know how much resistance there is out there in their own districts, then they’re just going to keep following Donald Trump and doing whatever he wants, so we’ve got to be out there — loud, proud, you know, stand up, speak out,” the governor concluded.

No! California will never let him rename our most famous fault line, unless he’s standing on it when it ruptures and he falls into the abyss. BTW, if you happen to be where it’s located (it’s quite extensive) it looks remarkably normal, until… It runs behind Mission San Juan Bautista which is less than an hour from my home.

Compassion, in which all ethics must take root, can only attain its full breadth and depth if it embraces all living creatures and does not limit itself to humankind.

    Albert Schweitzer

Ethics are responsibility without limit towards all that lives.

Ruth, love all the memes. I do find myself a bit horrified that we have Trump as Pope. Of course, he thinks he would make a perfect one, but that is about as sacrilegious as you can get. A sure sign to me of his almost total lunacy. While I know his whole life has been colored by mental deficiencies of one type or other, it is still mystifying that so few see it. The only thing normal about Trump is that he looks like a man. Everything else in my book, up for grabs.

I saw a picture a few minutes ago of our Oval Office outfitted in gawdy gold plate and am horrified all over again. Something definitely wrong with someone who feels the need to be surrounded by GOLD. Where they live and where they work. Okay, I admit it — I detest Trump but frankly, I do find something wrong with someone who needs the comfort of an all-gold existence as though you need it to prove something. He is proving something all right — but it's nothing good.

BREAKING: Donald Trump throws red meat to MAGA voters by agreeing to shell out your tax dollars to the family of Ashli Babbitt — the deranged insurrectionist who was shot and killed during the January 6th Capitol siege.

First he pardoned these traitors, now this...

Lawyers working for Babbitt's family reached a settlement agreement with attorneys from the MAGA Justice Department and confirmed the deal in court today.

While the amount of money has not yet been disclosed, any money at all is an insult to our democracy. Babbitt was part of a violent mob that was trying to overthrow our democracy. They took their lives into their own hands the moment that they stormed into that building.

Ashley Babbitt was attempting to force her way into the Speaker's Lobby when she was shot. If she had succeeded, she and her fascist comrades might have gotten their hands on a Democratic lawmaker.

If Capitol police had not stood firm in the face of these Trumpers, there's no telling what might have happened to the members of Congress who were sheltering inside. It's unfortunate that an officer had to deploy deadly force, but he was justified in his actions and has been cleared of any wrongdoing.

Trump has previously stated that he is a "big fan of Ashli Babbitt" and thinks she was a "really good person who was a big MAGA fan," which is a strong indication that she was anything but a "really good person."

Trump is loving and forgiving to anyone who he deems loyal at the moment. It is not a big surprise that he would spend the governments (our) money on a reward for his misfit loyalist. I'm sorry that anyone died that day, but far less for those who CHOSE to be there to make trouble and cause disruption. She was a good soldier who died for Trump but frankly in my book it would be a waste of good powder and lead to blow the both of them to hell, where if there were such a place they would both neatly fit.

What I mentioned before. How he makes himself comfortable — an adequate picture for him, but it does shout inadequacy to the rest of us. How godawful to spend every day not measuring up while trying to convince yourself in every way you can that the opposite is true.
