This little kitty got left behind at the adoption fair 2 weeks ago. Today my husband and I decided he is missing the next one. He has become very comfortable here. He is a great mix of snuggles and fun. All my cats have accepted him, as if yesterday. Sunday I will make it official. I don't actually meet the adoption requirements because I have a feral cat living in my house who has never been to the vet except to be spayed or neutered. Even she likes him. But what the heck they have about 80 more kittens in foster who need homes.

rischaller. So sweet. They look like my boys, Rocky and Zorro, except mine do not hang out together. What a difference in temperatures today. Low 60 this morning vs high 70's earlier this week.

They look like my late sister's kitties Wacko and Skitzo. They were big chonky boys! Wacko was wacky, used to steal Doritos from open bags! Skitzo was afraid of his own shadow when he was younger, as he got older he mellowed out and used to love when I would visit.

Mommy - I love those names lol! Stealing Doritos…really? I knew a cat who used to steal asparagus off your plate. I saw this on YouTube the other day called Cat Intelligence Agency, I laughed out loud. Enjoy. https://youtube.com/shorts/rMdPL6dhE5I?si=9TFzzDXAijfmf3DI

Our first cat loved cooked frozen green peas, not canned. Another cat loved corn on the cob. We thought it was the butter until we caught her shucking it raw. Her companion loved bread and went at it diagonally to ruin the most slices. Our orange tabby would not touch any people food. Not even chicken or fish.

I had a cat who loved French Green beans and would fish them out of the pan if I didn't watch her. We saved her a large spoon full whenever we made them.

She also liked homemade spaghetti sauce. I would leave it on the stove to cool and had to watch to make sure she didn't dip her paw into it. One night after I had mopped the kitchen floor, I found a red spot with a trail on the floor. It appears she had fished a meatball out of the sauce accounting for the spot and it rolled across the clean floor. However, all evidence of the meatball was gone! She lived to be nearly 20 years old so the garlic in the spaghetti sauce didn't effect her.

My daughter had a cat that liked bread. She could not leave it on the counter. He would chew through the plastic to eat it. I have only one cat who is interest in my food. He only want meat. Preferably chicken.

Tuna is growing. He and Zorro have become the most unlike pair.

My first kitty Tabigail had a jones for donuts (especially old-fashioned buttermilk) and potato chips. We came home from an overnight trip to the Dells and found she'd bitten through the sealed donut box, with one missing, a pile of crumbs on the floor, and a muzzle full of powdered sugar. MishMosh loved angel food cake—so much so that we always had to buy two, since he would bite through the wrapping and eat chunks of it. Happy loved Reddi-Wip. My current two are Roxy & BangBang—two torbie littermate sisters. Roxy is dainty and is a "kibble lady," drinking plenty of water. She doesn't view human food as edible. BangBang, half again Roxy's size, is omnivorous but is crazy for rotisserie chicken breast—or any chicken breast, for that matter. (I had to share my leftover chicken & waffle from Sunday brunch—she kept petting me and purring till I'd peel off pieces of chicken, which she'd practically inhale.

Unfortunately, they both have pica (likely from the stress of having been rehomed twice when their humans successively got dementia, then rescued, then adopted by us only to have to move with us three times due to our house fire only 90 days after we adopted them—they love to chew plastic bags and Roxy likes to eat paper, which she then poops). I caught them both nibbling on the plastic bristles of a broom, so I have to keep it locked away. (I found bits of green bristle in the litterbox—as well as red mesh from a bag of Cuties tangerines, which I now must store in the fridge).

Less than a week before their 6-month senior checkup appointment (the day after we had to text to confirm), their visiting vet (TheVets.com) went out of business. We could not find ANY visiting vet services in the entire Chicago area except for home euthanasia specialists. BangBang loves to pet me—not realizing how sharp her claws are (she uses her scratcher boxes at least daily). She hates nail trims so much that she hid the scissors! We had to call a mobile groomer, whose text message said they had to be in carriers, to be taken out to the grooming van in the driveway.

We're moving back home in less than 3 weeks, so we had to bring out their carriers anyway. I put a few drops of Jackson Galaxy "Welcoming Change" on my hands and petted them. I couldn't get BangBang into her carrier, but the groomer offered to do the trims inside the house. Roxy was quite chill and sat in Bob's lap; BangBang protested loudly but the trim was a success. She climbed back on to the couch…but now we've discovered that Roxy has commandeered BangBang's carrier (first she usurped the big plush bed and now BangBang's "house." BangBang is of course too big for Roxy's carrier). The groomer offered to come out and help us crate them on moving day, thank goodness. We're not moving ourselves till we can move them, with litterboxes, LitterGenies, food and water dishes all laid out and waiting for them. (I've since confirmed my suspicion that the Jackson Galaxy "essences" recommended by NextDoor cat owners are basically snake oil—but we don't have enough outlets free into which to plug in Feliway).

Good Luck with the move back Sandy. I know how hard it is to get cats in carriers, not fun!

Poor Midnight Louie had a tooth pulled. He had an IV and now looks like he is wearing a boot.

@chisandy what a series of cat shenanigans. Glad you found a groomer who is so helpful. Years ago, I used The Bach flower Rescue remedy , a few drops in their water for moves and vet visits. Good luck with your move ! It’s been quite time for you and yours ❤️🐈‍⬛

Any suggestions on how to travel with Midnight Louie. I am talking about a 9 hour drive. LOL

Has he ridden in the car before.? We used a large cage that would hold a litter box for a drive to Alaska. When we moved to Seattle the cats were loose in the car and leashed for potty break. I suggest a harness for the trip. They are harder to remove than a collar

The gran daughter of a friend was afraid I would miss Louie if I was gone too long . She gave me a stuffed cat. Louie is not sure about it.

Came home from vacation to a house full of cats. My husband babysat 4 foster kittens and our five. For twondays after the fosters left the cats slept. Apparently gizmo wore everyone out. Wednesday Tuna did not perk up like my older cats. By the afternoon he reappeared to be in pain. I was not able to get annappointment with the vet, and was turn away from the urgent care and the local pet hospital. I ended up taking him to the next county over. I was there for 4 hours before they agreed to admit him. I was so exhausted before I went because I had just had my fulvestrant shot. I think he is now the most expensive pet > have ever owned. He is doing bette mr and is home. They did numerous test on him and everything came back normal except in the beginning when he was dehydrated. We finally decided to do a test for fever of unknown origin to see if anything can be identified. Not one other cat that was here got sick. Just Tuna. Very scary.

Hope Tuna makes a speedy recovery. He's so young to have had so many medical issues. Thank you for caring so much.
