  • I am about to have Chemo next week. I am 50. 1.8cm breast cancer, SLAND 3/6. My treatments include: lumpectomy done on 07/30/25. SLNB found 3/6 lymph notes, the doctor did not recommend ALND for removing all lymph notes. Chemo therapy Taxol once a week for 12 weeks and AC biweekly for 4 weeks. Radiations treatment for 6 weeks. One thing is confused me why my doctor ask do the Taxol first and then AC. According NCCN guidelines, it should be AC first to T rather than T to AC? Any one has the Taxol (Paclitaxel) first, please share. Thanks

  • 8 weeks post double mastectomy for IDC and 4/20 lymph nodes positive for carcinoma. Im scheduled for chemo (docetaxel) in 2 weeks, 1q3weeks X 4 sessions. Im nervous about side effects. Im nervous about not working. Me and my husband are trying really hard to plan ahead for our kids and our home. Im mad that I have already given so much of my mind and body to this cancer, and its not enough.

  • Im feeling much better this week. I think I have finally reached acceptance in the grieving process and I am ready to get this over with. With the plan being 4 sessions, I should be done in December. So in other words: Just make it to the end of the year. Make it to 1/1/26, and the worst of it will be over.
I love seeing how many women are taking their journey with grace and dignity. The thing is, I don't feel like them. Talking to my sister about it made me realize I can take this journey anyway I want. The way I want is to stomp on each step as hard as I can, screaming madly the whole time. I want to curse at the top of my lungs how I hate this journey, and what I have had to sacrifice. I want to do this for as long as I can. I refuse to even say the word casually. It is not me, it does not define me.

@ejortega14. We're so glad you’re feeling a bit better. Acceptance doesn’t have to look calm or graceful — stomping and screaming is just as valid. 😍. There’s no “right” way through treatment; doing it on your terms is strength.

You’re almost at the finish line, and however you get there is okay.

  • Hi, my wife is starting chemo next week. She got triple negative b.c. Does anyone can recommend any brand of ice gloves and socks for treatment? How about ice caps? There are so many choices on Amazon….

I got the SuzziPad Ice Pact, they included gloves, socks and a head cap. Im still trying to figure out if i need 2 sets, because my understanding is to have the caps and gloves on for the entirety of the infusion, plus 30 min before and after……? This set stay cold for about 30 minutes, then I had my nurse put them back in the freezer for another 30. I hope this helps, tell your wife we are here for her <3
