Wally, sorry to hear this news. You and your hubby are in my prayers.

Good Morning, Loungettes! Happy Saturday! We've dropped into the deep freeze here, temps were below the donut overnight, and will struggle to get out of the single digits today. Brrr. Even the puppers are going out and coming right straight back in. It's funny, Zoe, the husky, likes this deep cold and snow much less than Colt! Twice last night she woke me up to get under the covers with me. Colt was under the covers, too, so I was nice and toasty.
mOmmy--Glad you had a white Christmas and a comfortable and happy one, too.
Wally--I saw the GFM, and did my part! I can imagine the emotions are pretty mixed. I also hope he is not having symptoms, or at least easily controlled ones. Hugs.
Arctic Mistletoe Martini
Ingredients:
- 2 oz Vanilla Vodka
- 1 oz White Chocolate Liqueur
- 1 oz Coconut Cream
- 0.5 oz Peppermint Schnapps
- Splash of Cream
- White Chocolate Flakes (for rimming)
- Crushed Peppermint Candy (for rimming)
- Simple Syrup (for rimming)
- Mistletoe Sprig (for garnish, ensure it's non-toxic or opt for a faux sprig)
Instructions:
- Begin by preparing the martini glass. Take the rim of the glass and dip it in simple syrup, then into a mixture of white chocolate flakes and crushed peppermint candy to create a festive, snowy rim.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine vanilla vodka, white chocolate liqueur, coconut cream, peppermint schnapps, and a splash of cream.
- Shake vigorously until the mixture is well-chilled.
- Strain the liquid into the prepared martini glass.
- Gently hook the mistletoe sprig onto the rim or float it atop the drink as an eye-catching garnish.
- Serve immediately and invite your guests to indulge in a frosty, minty delight.
