Just really sad
I am mourning today I think. Had my first chemo session a little over three weeks ago and it went fine. The day before my second I started the routine again of taking my steroids with a fasting bar and then continuing to fast through the day. Five and a half hours after taking my steroid I suddenly developed stroke like…

TC vs. CMF
I had a lumpectomy a month ago. The tumor was smallish with micrometastatic carcinoma in one lymph node. The doctors initially thought that I would need radiation but not chemo, but after getting my oncotype (28), the medical oncologist is strongly recommending chemo, too. allergy and skin issues post-chemo?

It seems better on some days and then other not so great. I have some meloxicam and I will occasionally take that and it does help (over the counter ibuprofin seems…

AC-T versus T-C
Hello, My mom was diagnosed with Stage 3 breast cancer with significant nodal involvement. She underwent a bilateral mastectomy and is gearing up to begin chemo. The doctor has strongly recommended AC-T. Before surgery, the doctor also mentioned T-C as an option but now with the discovery of extensive nodal involvement,…

Freezing during chemo and questions
So I had my first chemo today and iced my hand and feet and used a cold cap. It was brutal. The ice cap was actually quite tolerable. So tolerable that it makes me wonder if it worked. But my hair was frozen when I took it off so I hope that was a good sign. My hands and feet though were not even a bit tolerable. I broke…
