No parties here either Cyn, but I do have lot of decorations to still put up (after getting out of attic in house, garage high attic, etc). I hate doing it this late, but the China trip really messed me up on that. Would prolly not put much up this yr, but since DD and family are coming in from TX, I feel I should. Still won't put it ALL up though, as I have TONS of outdoor decorations, really neat ones. BUT lots of work, and mese is T-I-R-E-D.

Need more prayers for Dorothy PLEASE!! Kathy - I feel like such a turd for not posting on here THANK YOU for doing that...ughhh. Jes sooo much chit happening...my p-brain can't think straight! Glad you enjoyed the Zuc Bread. It is my Paternal Grandmothers recipe. But I had mislaid it and when Goldie asked, I quickly called my Stepmom in OR. Thank goodness she still had it. Prayers for your DD and GD ((group hug for you too)) OH and thanks for all the rememberances of one of many horrific days in our history!
Jen is healing - has to lay still as much as possible as niether of the blood patches held. She saw her surgeon Thurs. She was amazed at how much fibroid was there. Normal ovary weighs 80 grams...doc took total of 400+ grams. That is almost 1 pound of tissue. Thanks for all the continues prayers.
Dotty has cellulitis. I believe it is from the surgery lowering her immune system, then the viral upper resperatory(sp) infection then the pink eye. This infected area is on the opposite of where her revision incision is. Very scary...Prayers and Group Hugs!!

Well I’m back, and all is good. Office visit and blood work on Thursday, mammogram Friday morning, phone call Friday afternoon with results…..NED.

Good morning, Loungettes! One of the nursing homes I got to was having their Christmas lunch and craft sale. I got a lunch of a freshly made-to-order Maine Italian sandwich, homemade raspberry trifle, with a bag of Cheetos! For those of you not on the Middles thread, Cheetos is the snack of choice and the center of all the eating done there! It was soooooo good!
Cammy--good point about saying WTF? And drinking! Was at that point more than a coupla times this last week.

CynCyn--yesterday was a good day at work, got lots done, even if I did work till almost 6 pm. But I got everything caught up and left the computer and everything at the office. And I just remembered that I have an early ayem visit Monday, so I'm going to have to run into the office and pick up the computer anyway! Oh, well, such is life!

You know, I didn't realize what the date was until I saw some flags at half staff yesterday. Then I was surprised that I had heard nothing about it on the radio or anywhere else all day. I only heard one mention as I was driving home, one playing of the "day that will live in infamy" speech. I'm afraid we are forgetting about Pearl Harbor and other atrocities American has stook against over the decades. Makes me wonder where we're going as a nation sometimes. . . .

OMG Cellulitis--I know what that is--it's painful My cousin had that and it sounds like no big deal, but it is very hurting. I don't know how u get it cuz a few members of my family has had thst and it's weird--Dork u have to just relax no drinking for a while and take pain meds--Oh we all miss u and u'r sharp tongue that's used for many reasons. OOHH I wish I could help u--u've had so much going on. U'r immun system is not so good--stay away from people if u can. When u feel like it let's us know exactly what's going on or let someone know so we all know OK My prayers are being sent to u--I think God thinks I nag alot so I do the best I can with my prayers.Just feel better,
And Lynda my prayers are for u too so u stsrt feeling better and stronger too.

Luverly prayer for Dorothy, NM. You ALWAYS think of the best prayers! Yes I am the one that told you all about Ice Wine...LOVE IT! Hmmmm...ice beer, ice wine, yuppers dats me....maybe the "ice" helps my hot flashes??? lol. YES, I do hate it that we forget all those atrocities. Pearl Harbor was ingrained in our brains even in elementary school (duh!), and we would make plumeria leis and paper leis to put on the military graves, in Punchbowl Cemetary of the Pacific. My teacher in 6th gr, had only 1 arm...lost the other during that war. I hated to put it all on our drinking thread, but its very important to me, so I am glad that it was ok to post here.

Lori, Love the weiner dog bandaged up....purrfect for our Dorkie! Yesterday I put cat food on top of my dog's dry dog food...they loved it, but my DH got on to me about that. Was jes kiddin, but he expected them to start meow-ing. GLAD you are still NED....yippppeee!
OMG I have THREE men to buy for next wk, my DH's bday, my dad's bday and my SIL's bday. ANd men are SO hard to buy for!!! One of the things DH and my Dad are getting, are photo books I made, of our China trip. They always like that, so now to think of other chit to get.

GOLDIE--I' really sorry bout the oldie My letters stick sometimes and I am an awful typist--remember I worked for the stat for bunches of years
so typing was not priority--even thos it concerned peoples privat info. LOL--who knows how many people got screwed up cuz of me. So I never, ever mean it as an insult--I just never honed my typing. It's funny cuz for about 5 yrs. My sister, cousin and I all worked for New York Life Ins. and one time I could not get a letter right stupid beyond belief--her desk was sbout 10 feet from me, so I gace it to her and she did it like 3 mins. and it was perfect. I told u uys we we're close we even worked together LOL And I don't understand one thing about insurance, even when I worked there--but my boss liked me (thank God) So u see I just can't type and now the words don't come as easity as they used to too. So everyone stop making fun of Goldie cuz I can't type--it's in my history and in my blood.
Oh I just had a banana for breakfast and rubbed my teeth with the skin and gave some to my GS--it's a natural whitener. hahaha-we'll see.

Hmmm.....eggnog, love it! I made some chicken the other night that actually has nutmeg in it, plus mushrooms, onions. It sounds weird but is really, really good! Love a spiked eggnog with nutmeg on top...yummmmmmmm

Lori, the photo of my little twin cousins that was posted by the photographer has over 200,000 likes now and over 25,000 shares. It has changed the photographers business in a big way. And yes, they belong to my first cousin Mark and his beautiful wife Kristen. I am so happy for them, Kristen loves babies and had many disappointments with miscarriages. But God sure made it up to her and her hubby!

I gots so much to say after reading and now my brain is frozen. I think I need to eat, I have only been out of bed for two hours, had to wait for the pain meds to kick in before making something to eat. I am in a lot of pain but it does seem a bit better this morning. My foob is swollen, inflamed and red. And I am not letting the PS take it from me, no way Jose Cuerva, it bese mines! I went to the OR about 5am friday morning. They did xrays, a cat scan then blood work which showed that it is cellulitis. Sounds like cottage cheese on my thighs but that would be better, chit mo fo and mo chit. I jest can't believe this is happening. I had a fever near 103 last niight and was freaked out. I was so cold that my teeth were chattering. I did not take my temp until I crawed to bed. I was really thinking I was going to die in my sleep. I could not get out of bed to find my documents from the ER visit but knew the fever was a concern. I slept for 12 hours straight, I tank God for good sleep. My foob tanks God too. I then re-read my discharge instructions which said to go back to the ER if a fever was present after two days of the augmentin anti-b. DAMN it, FURB FURB FURB. I will say it "f-CK you Rat bastard, f-0ck you, piece of chit. I bet yer momma is fugly"!

I am getting overwhelmed with missing work as I am picking up and getting busy again. I only have two weeks before going out on vacation and suspect that I will be working OT. I need the money, especially now that I have to pay for an ER visit. THIS SUCKS! FURB!

Stella's lurkin for the drins there's a whol bar set up in the Kitchen We do have a good size kitchen--so I have to watch her--but she was cuttin carrots and cukes--I made her wash her hands--but there will be lots of guys here tonight so my job is laid out for me.

Good afternoon, Loungettes! Got an cranberry/orange cake in the oven that I'll glaze tomorrow and take to work on Monday. Actually, it's supposed to be a white chocolate cranberry cake, but the package of white chocolate chips I had in the cupboard mysteriously only has a few chips in the bottom. Hmmmm, wonder how that happened??????
Wahine--do the IceHouse and Ice Wine help with the hot flashes? That would be a better way to go than pills, that's for sure!
Cammy--banana skins as a whitener? Never heard that one, does it actually work? I like bananas. Not sure I want to rub the peels on anything, though. . . .
Stella--I almost feel sorry for you! But you really do deserve what you get, you'll appreciate this when you are older.
CynCyn--I used to make eggnog from scratch, then had to start taking prilosec for stomach acid problems and it's not a good idea for me to drink stuff with raw egg (not that that's such a good idea anyway anymore) so I just buy it at the grocery store. I do doctor it up with some nutmeg and rum or something like that (depending on what's in the likker cabinet at the moment). I bought some egg nog with the alcohol already in it once, it was WAY to strong for my tastes. Had to cut it with milk! Never heard of egg nog mix. . .
Wahine--I guess I would be in the buy nog at the grocery store, spike it with Wild Turkey American Honey. Yum!
DorKable--the babies are just adorable! Did they give you any antibiotics by IV while you were in the ED? Cellulitis is an infection of the skin itself, but the concern is that the infection will spread. In your case I would think they would err on the side of caution and give you some IV antibiotics to jump start the bug extermination process. Glad you slept, your body does it's best healing when you are asleep. The concern about your temp still being up after a couple of days is that it may mean the anti-b isn't the right one for the bugs that moved in. I agree entirely, FURB , FURB!!!!!
