Tom had been in business for 25 years and was finally sick of the stress. He quit his job and bought 50 acres of land in Alaska as far from humanity as possible. He saw the postman once a week and got groceries once a month. Otherwise, it was total peace and quiet. After six months or so of total isolation, someone knocked on his door. He opened it and there was a huge, bearded man standing there:
"Name's Lars, your neighbor from forty miles up the road. Having a Christmas party Friday night. Thought you might like to come... about 5:00."
"Great," says Tom, "after six months out here I'm ready to meet some local folks. Thank you!"
As Lars is leaving, he stops. "Gotta warn you ... There's gonna be some drinkin'."
"I can drink with the best of 'em." Again, as he starts to leave, Lars stops.
"More 'n likely gonna be some fightin' too."
Tom says, "Well, I get along with people, I'll be alright. I'll be there. Thanks again."
Once again Lars turns from the door. "More 'n likely be some wild sex, too."
"Now that's really not a problem," says Tom, warming to the idea. "I've been all alone for six months! I'll
definitely be there. By the way, what should I wear?"
Lars stops in the door again and says, "Whatever you want. Just gonna be the two of us."

Got just enough time for a quick update:  I think it was on here that I posted about Sadie's metal din-din dish going missing while I was recovering?  Yesterday I was doing a thorough sweeping of the bedroom floor, stuck the broom under a stand that has a floor length cover on it, and bang, bang, bang, out comes Sadie's din-din dish!  I know she probably took it in the bedroom (she's never done that before) but how did it get under there???? At least I don't have to go buy another one!

I agree with Kathy and your hair Bernie, I also love the color. Has it come in like that naturally? Mine when it was that short was the ugliest, nothing, clear gray kinda crap! I see you have been to ICONS! I think I saw that doll fly by my house, but she must have dropped the teeth.

Gosh Kathy, could you imagine having big boobs like that? It would be awful. DH recorded a show, I think it was called "Me and My Big Breasts". Well, needless to say it wasn't what he thought it would be, but women that did have HUGE breasts and all the problems they caused, with clothes, pain, doing normal things, etc. So I would guess knocking someone over is not out of the question! Not sure what cycle you are referring to. I did have a moror cycle in my teens, and laid it down in some sand and burnt the side of my calf. I posted a pic, a while back, with a quad, is that what you are thinking of?

Stella can come DorK, we can hang out in the Shady Lady. Maybe I can get a hold of Peggy.....LMAO!

LOL, I did not know what DorK meant about it getting deep. Thanks for clarifying Wawa. You are right. DorK, I was referring to all of the very very nice things you and Kathy were saying about me, how pretty I was etc. That was very nice of you, and of course I was just joking around when I said it was getting deep in here.

NM, I will join you in The Dark Side, in having some that is! Glad you found Sadie's dish. But I don't remember you mentioning it was gone.

Scuby, when are you leaving for Maine? I am so excited for you and NM. You both have to just have this big ole huge hug for all of us. And how nice if you can make it to the hospital on Tuesday, wow! So sorry you didn't have fun at your party, if we had been there, it would have been a different story. And if Stella doesn't want to go back with you, I think I can handle her. Christmas isn't too big a deal around here either. Just DH and myself. Have a great DMe day.

Beans, you and I can help with UFO. I think I saw the wenches too, to help us load up for Tuesday.

I think we need an actual "Stella". I found this one, she even has her own website, and I think even more than just one! Lots of photos. But we need to be in agreement. She looks excited, don't ya think?

Hi eberyone! Love having a DMe day for ALL of us today....think we can all use one. Gotta say, Lori, that is FANTASTIC! I like having a visual of Stella, since she has become such an important addition here. you iz smart!!! I make a motion that we DO add her to the HTL, and with the photo (and others from the link) that you posted!!! Anyone second that motion?

I also liked this pic of Stella (from Lori's link), cuz the green reminds me of Ireland, and she has an impish look on her face, so in honor of the Emerald Isle, and having Bernie here too, how bout another outfit for our Stella...

And, can I change to beer to the really good Stella Artois? Or just add it? Here is the pic of it..

Even a sign to hand outside the lounge...

WooHoo we are on a roll today!!!

ahem, errrr, *clears throat*, now to get back to the agenda! Didn't get to comment on anythin else, as I was so taken by Lori finding pics of Stella! Yes, Lori, I do think it was the pic of you with the quad...I mean, sheesh....quads and cycles DO resemble each other...they each have wheels, tires, and power. LOL. Anyway, that was such a smokin picture of you, I don't know if anyone else noticed what vehicle it was!!! I really miss looking good like that, maybe I need to post a BIG pic of me when I was slim....like on my refrig...lol.

OMG Bernie, Glad I did not have coffee in my mouth....did not expect THAT ending. I expected him to say animals or something. Soooo funny!

NM, Well, I am like Lori and do not even member you mentionin dat din din dish dat was wost. Of course, we all say so much here throughout the day, I can barely emember what wuz said da dey befoah. BUT glad you found it!!! She musta really missed ya when you were out of it. I still remember when you each found each other, and what a special relationship you have with Sadie. And l think you also said that Sadie found YOU! Poifect. You two have helped each other thru a lot. Glad you are healing well!

Scuby, I like your "Christmas Sucks Ale"....sadly, a lot of us are feeling that way about now. I hope once you get going on your trip, things will be much happier. But with all your work, and then all the stress of entertaining, etc., I sure can understand why you feel that way. Hoping you have a MAHVELOUS trip, and please do give NM big hugs from all of us (and NM you too, puleez give our Lisa big hugs from all of us)! Also hoping you get to see da DorKie before her surgery!

DorK, how are you doing this morning? I hope your exch surgery is a piece of cake. I remember when I went in for my bilat mast, I was all cheery and happy to be in the hospital (crazy, yeah!). I was making jokes, even before they gave me anything. BUT since that surgery was so hard, I was less enthusiastic for the exch surgery. But that one was sooooo easy compared to the other one. I hope yours will be so easy too. Remember to take stool softeners before (I would start today or tomorrow), and if the anesthesia and pain meds affect you at all, might need an enema on hand too. SORRY girls (yes I had to say the S word here), but gotta protect our loungettes. I also get very itchy from the drugs, and then nauseaus. Dang, did I really say all that??? You prolly can write a book on all that, as you have had so many surgeries!!! But just had to add my 2 cents here. I am hoping and praying when you wake up, you feel GOOD, and that the exch is a complete success!!!

Okay, okay, I got sidelined, this is, after all, a DRINKING thread!!! (Shame on me *slapping me own dern hand*). So....how about Pants bringing trays around of the "Christmas Sucks Ale" and the "Stella Artois"....plenty for all.....partay!!!!!

    Hugsssssss,

    Kathy

Hello loungettes and happy Saturdey Pau Hana!

Kathy and LOri, I have to first say that Stella is feeling so overwhelmed with love from you goils, she tanks ewe both! When I showed her the pictures, she smiled so big and lit up. She loves herself all glittery and shimmering and she told me she will do all she can to please DorK and do as she sez. Stella is feeling overwhelmed as she has to go to work on MonKEYdey den to de hospital for de surgery on Twosdey.

Kathy, thanks for your well wishes for an easy surgery. I hope I have an easy exchange but am not feeling like I am really ready. I am more concerned about the revision to lefty than the actual swap on righty. I have no idea what is it like to have lipo and have not researched it but already know that I will have a very sore stomach for a few days after. The best I can ask for is to be feeling well enough to be with my family on Christmas day and feel good even if I am still on pain meds.Oh, thanks for the reminder to be proactive with de constipation, I hate that and will do what I can to avoid going through that.

NM, you are not losing your mind, you told me about the missing doggie dish via response to a PM I had send you. I am so glad you found the dish.  I do not remember the story of Sadie finding you but would love to hear it. That must have been before I joined BCO.

Scuby, how sweet of you to think of visiting me. Don't go out of your way to see me, I know you are very busy with wrapping up the year end work and preparing for your trip to Maine. How cool that you can see the building I will be in. If you can just look at the building at the time I am set to have surgery and say some prayers that all goes perfect, I would be most grateful. And you are so sweet to care for dear Stella while I am in surgery. I hope you do not regret your kind offer as I am taking you up on it. In return, I will have Stella bring you a case of her OWN lager (thank you Lori, she did not know she was de owner dis fine beer).  DorK is very proud of you in that you are working out so hard. Good for you. Are you still sleeping through the night every night??

Bernie, dear, I am loving your jokes so much. I wanted to also comment again on your photo - you DO rock the short hair look. I look forward to updated photos of you and want to see you smiling SO big.

Where are de rest of de goils todey?  Does anyone wanna join me and Stella by de pool again? We wants to splash all over someone. Who will it be?

Before hitting send, DorK has a message for all of you wonderful gals, she said she loves you all dearly and thanks you for making her feel so warm and fuzzy today with all the love for her alter-ego, Stella.

    CheerZ!!

I wish de other girls could know what a gweat fwend you are to all of yese goils. De highlite of my year was spending a week with you. You taught me so much and I find my self thinking about you scolding me, in the loving way you did, for misbehaving with anxiety, eating habits, relationship with the :DH", social skills (which I have passed on to de dear Stella etc). It was also a high honor to have YOU and SCUBY DOO with me at my follow up appointments. I felt so loved when you goils were referred to by de staff  as MY "paparazzi". Chrissy B, YOU had me at hello! We hope to see photos on your special journey thread OF your Christmas, complete with tree, hubby, kidlings and grands. I wish i could wiggle me nose and join you to sailabrate Christmas, and YOU with your family. Cheers my fwend, I love you. Stella loves you too. She knows dat YOU know eberyting about her but can't admit those evertings hehehe!! Mwaaahhh(CHrissY) and a big fat hug too (<CHRISSY>).

eYa see, our own Chrissy B lives in Australia, SHE is a very long time loungette and is VERY popular amongst de BCO goils.  She so bwavely made a twip from all de way down under to awound de world. Me know she stayed at six locations throughout our USA and enriched de lives of sooooo many. Stella and I are so very grateful to have been selected to host dis berry famous loungette. Chrissy is de most caring and lovable lady I know. She is berry intelligent and me sez she knowz eberyting but she sez no. She has made de news on TV and also made great feel good news stories in de newspaper too. Dis is because she is gwate. She is my sister. And me just feels bad dat you all did not know dis set of facts.

Tank ewe for listening. Dis is DorK. I am going to let Stella sez a few tings (dat is, IF, she is not asleeping). Goodnight me goils, happy saTURDey! CheerZ to all! *clink clink clink clink clink*

Glad you will have such a big gathering at your house. Part of my family will be here from the 21-24...they have a 10-12 hr drive on Christmas Eve, so they can be back at their house for the big day. So we'll celebrate my youngest g'daus bday on the 22nd, then an early Christmas celebration with both my DD's, their DH's, and all 5 g'kids on the 23rd, Then on the 24th, we'll go to Christmas Eve service with DD and gkids that live here, and then have dinner at their house. Looks like Christmas day will be just DH and myself.....

De Stella told Dork de wrong name for Stella's sister cuz de Stella was in de DorK's big JD boddle. So Stella is embarrased to sey but she is Elizabeth's twin sister. It gets so confusing but fact is, Stella is not a whore. But Elizabeth is. And Johnboy is still pimping. That boy has resentments. I can't tail righten now cuz he behind me. An 85-year-old man was requested by his doctor for a sperm count as part of his physical exam.
The doctor gave the man a jar and said, "Take this jar home and bring back a semen sample tomorrow."
The next day the 85-year-old man reappeared at the doctor's office and gave him the jar, which was as clean and empty as on the previous day.
The doctor asked, what happened and the man explained.
"Well, doc, it's like this - first I tried with my right hand, but nothing. Then I tried with my left hand, but still nothing. Then I asked my wife for help. She tried with her right hand, then with her left, still nothing. She tried with her mouth, first with the teeth in, then with her teeth out, still nothing. We even called up Arleen, the lady next door and she tried too, first with both hands, then an armpit, and she even tried squeezin' it between her knees, but still nothing."
The doctor was shocked! "You asked your neighbor?"
The old man replied, "Yep, none of us could get the jar open."

Kathy, post one of your older pictures here. I'm sure the other gals would love to see and you certainly don't have anything to be embarrassed about, that's for sure! You might have said too much about surgery, but it's all so true. And even tho our dear DorK has had her share, she may have forgotten to prepare for some things. So I think that was a good idea from you Kat.

DorK, I did not know you were having lypo too. Wow girl, lots going on. Is it going to be out patient? I am almost certain it will be. I just hate that, they send people home way too soon. I see nothing wrong with at least staying over 1 night. I foygot that I said I would post a picture of you and your Country Cadilac, so here it is.

And speaking of pictures, when do we get to see a picture of you with your new do? Berry nice bulletin on our Chrissy. LMAO at your disclaimer "~~DISCLAIMER ~~ if youz do not likes de dwunken lonnnnnnnng senseless post, too bad. Only me or me admin, de Stella can erase. Nanna nanna nah nah!!!" If anyone were to delete your posts, I would have to send YOUR people after them.

Chrissy, good to see you. Have a grand time with your family. As for de Wenches, they are helping me and de Beans load up de UFO, to go on TwoZdey.

Husker, I hope all of those yummy goodies helped you get some sleep.

Bernie, what does your DH do that he is gone until Jan 5th?

Kimberly, great comment about DorK's humor and that is always dances, I like that.

Lisa, I hope you were able to go back to sleep, and ya.......where is dat  Vino chick        ?

I think you all should know that Stella is also a BC cancer survivor. She did not want anyone to know, but I found a picture. I can be sneaky you know.

    Morning girls,

Wanted to touch base with you all so bad yesterday and couldn't even find the energy to type!!   SUCH a bad day!!  Few days after my second round of AC and boy did it kick my butt!!  Was home alone for the first time all day and just miserable, SO tierd but couldn't sleep, SO much pain from the nulasta shot, and SOOOO darned sick!  Chemo is NOT for wimps!!

Half of my hair fell out the day before chemo and it looked so uneven and messy that I decided to just shave it!!  Still a bit startling each time I catch a glance in the mirror.  My boys (9 & 11) shaved theirs as well in support of Mom, so sweet.

It's only a bit after 9 a.m. here in CA, but am perching my cute lil butt on my dalmation print barstool and ordering anything STRONG, lol. Hoping for a better day than yesterday, even if only here in the lounge.

Will try to find time to come back and catch up on whats been going on with all of you, haven't been here for a few days.

    Cheers til then!
