Good evening ...glad I made it to Pau Hana...

I plan on catching up on Bernies Famine story tomorrow...I started reading it and figured I needed more time and to do it when I had quite around..that is not a luxury right at da moment.
NM...sounds like a very peaceful 2 hours you spent kyaking....I miss that kind of thing and the soud of the loons ...I believe the friend I will be staying with is planning on renting a cottage for a couple of days so maybe we can get some of that in...I wanted to go camping but I really dont want to sleep on the ground..I think Im way too old for that kind of thing. Very interesting about the Rads and seeing effects now from treatment 2 weeks ago...I just want to heal up and get that energy back at least while DD is here..It kinda sucked trying to find something to wear to the beach that didnt expose that part of my skin either...RBMF.
Sues...hows it going since gk's left? Are you missing the chaos greatly or enjoying the peace and quite for a bit? How often do you get to visit with them? We do need a AM pic..like Dorty says.
Dorty ...no you didnt miss me...I havent been in yet today...It was beach day with the wussy boys...thats DH1 and DH2...couple of whimpy a$$'$ ....We werent at the beach one hour before the complaints started coming...stinging eyes..too hot...bla bla bla...I stretched it till about 3pm and only because I took off by myself and left them at the umbrella and they couldnt find me..hehe...we got there about 1ish....Im not taking them again..they are party poopers.

Gosh, you ladies are so funny! Even if I am still saturated with chemo ( last one next week assuming all is good) I love the idea of cyber drinking. How many screens do we have in our movie theater? At least 2, as I am behind but trying to ketchup on the walk over the falls....they are still showing past stunts. And in the udder teater, den Cyn has a moobie she wants ta see. Don't hafta move,da wenches bwingin da food, and da tenders iz bwingin de dwinks. OOPS mese was baaaaaad eurlier to say anyone cud walk dat wid a tether....NOOOOOO, mese was WRONG!!!! Wrongo bongo. The pre-walk stuff shows it to be as scary as it shud be. Ohhhhh...Yippeee for anuder partayyy....Lisa ..we had such a great partayyy the other day for my last Rad....they went all out with caterer and dwinks flowing...but being still so exhausted from da Rads I bowed out early but I know da other gals salibrated foah me..and Kathy ended up in a clown costume by da end...I wont tell you what dey did to me...just dont pass out here...dese goils get deir dwink on and have some fun den...
Sues....AM is adoreable and quite proud of his Elmo I can see...so fun when they are young like that ..betcha he would last hours at da beach....

mema-they are so cute, lisa dnl ,party when you finish chemo. cyncyn- finished rads last july and found a rash guard shirt spf 50 for clearence on landsend site, paid about $15 . still try to protect the area . bad boob not a foob YET, i just have a mismatched set, this last surgery was the first ( and really hope the last) after rads and have had more scar pain and the incision is not fully healed yet, still have a tiny open area. love the history lessons bernie, wonder how history will record some of todays practises? tsa for one.

Kathy, that is so funny. If you stare at something long enough it will move, except husbands! I can not say that about mine. He was outside working this morning and unloaded a pallet of 6" thick wall bricks, before I got up at 5:30. I think we have one more truck load. But it is getting REALLY HOT down there, 110-115. And what a great job you did on Dofey's clown face. She jes gorgeous no matter what.

Dorky, I sure wish you could feel better, like YESTERDAY. I believe you did congrat me on NED, I don't keep tabs, so no worries. Yes, my mom was not doing good, then better. Now this morning I talked to her, and she is not doing so good again. Her doctor is out of town until Tuesday, but I do not know if she will go see him or not. I do not like him, he always tells her how good she is doing, and she is NOT. Just gives her more pills. But then again, mom won't do anything to improve on her health either, so maybe that is why the doctor tells her that?

Yay for a hard-working husband, Lori! My late DH was like that too...in fact he was so strong that during the eulogy, the minister even mentioned how he could do the work of 3 men. I enjoyed working along with him, and that is how I learned so much. After he died I was able to use his power tools (and bought more later on) and built a deck, fences, walk and drive gates, etc. But I had never used his power tools till he was gone, so had a lot to learn. Don't know how you both can work in that heat, but good you start early in the ayem. We were lucky in Vegas, as they were having a cooler week for some reason, and wind. Hate hearing that your mom is not doing good, again. Would she go to a walk-in-clinic, or ER? And she might find a dr she likes better that way, and might go to more often? Hard for you too, being so far away. OH, and we DO now have a movie theater, after Cyn mentioned it, I put one in, went *poof* and it was there. But just 2 screens so far, (since we were watching diff shows), and I didn't post a pic. So you could definately elaborate on that....if you have time that is! Know how busy you are right now.

Bernie, LOL.....I know I, for one, really had "the look" down pat, but it was for my kids. If I was on the phone esp, and they were being too noisy, I just gave them "the look" and pointed to their rooms, and without saying a word, they knew to go on their beds. Prob was, they liked to read a lot, so later on I had to punish by not letting them read! Was the only thing that worked!! But they are still avid readers, and my oldest DD even wrote a book. This weekend she is at a writers convention, meeting some of her fav authors. Then she does boy scout day camp all week (and has to teach them sling-shots, and safety), (even on her b'day), so she is a busy gal.
GAWGEOUS day here today, might try to fit in a kayak outing before it gets too hot, or else later this afternoon. Just wish our lake had no snakes, so could enjoy it more. So envious of you, NM! Even the TN River, which is quite large, has snakes. But I figure there is more water there, so maybe not as many snakes per sq foot! We bought a groupon deal for a 3-hr twilight kayak trip down a smaller river, gotta schedule it!

Thank ewes all fer da 'cuties' comments on mese gks. Cyn - yes, AM is a fish. DH n I had him in a pool at 3 mos. He loves the water. So does Maddy for that matter. It was funny, after they left, Bax n Bella yakking at me incesently. So off to bed we went, they got their 'facetime' which was rare while kids here, then in like 5 mins...both pooches 'limp rags'. We all slept and slept...DH said he hated to wake me for dinner cuz we all looked soooo comfy all spread out on da bed. LOL

Allicat, the show was live, and it was the great-grandson of Karl Wallenda (Karl died while walking a tightrope(?) betwn tall bldgs in some city (Boston?) , many yrs ago). This guy walked across NIAGARA FALLS!!!! Was scary cuz was at night, plus very windy, plus the "mist" was like rain on him and on the wire. And his 2 young children were there, watching in person. They did make him use a tether, which he didn't want. THey had an hr show before that of the 20 greatest stunts, and some who died doing them. Scary!!!! It was funny though when the Canada border agents were there, asking for his passport! Which he DID have, sealed in a bag, in his pocket. HE walked from the US side to the CAN side.

Oh I HATE snakes and spiders!!!! With a passion!!!! But the lake is right here and it is so pretty and awesome to kayak on it, I try to pretend they are not there. Another reason why we didn't get canoes or double kayaks....wanted it as safe as possible, to not tip over! Figured with single kayaks we can be more careful. Plus there is a pedal-boat at my parents, so we might even use that. Just gotta make sure there are no snakes under it when we flip it over!!! Aaarrgggghhhhhh I hate snakes!!!!!!
