Oh I needed some cheering up and your post did it, Dorkie! I always am laffing out loud when I read what you write. And NO we will not hurt you or even judge you...we will prolly be jealous though if you get some good brown chicken brown cow!  I hope you have a wonderful time, and wouldn't it be awesome if you won some big money too!!! He should also give you money to gamble with, don'tcha think? I mean, it IS a late birthday present and he was soooooo rude to you on your b'day that he has a lot of making up to do, even to be just friends!

I vented to Dotty, as I was just so sad and shocked...I just found out a friend's son died, and he was just 50, and such a nice generous guy, handsome too. I know my friend is devastated and since we have to read obits online and in emails now, I missed reading the obits that day (last week), and just read it tonight. The reason we don't get them in the paper, is because we almost have no paper. They started just printing it 3x wk since so many people here read it online anyway (not me though). Very hi-tech area, so the rest of us non-techies have to suffer. This friend helped me a lot after my husband died, and I also went to the Gulf Shores twice with her that first year. And Alli, I ran across your email today when you went to Gulf Shores awhile ago and so I was thinking of Gulf Shores all day, not even knowing that Drew had died.

So thats why it was specially good to read a funny post. And now I am going to watch a funny movie, cause I need to turn my frown into a smile, and I can't stand on my head to do that, so this is the next best thing. And of course, Cami, you can say that "s" word if you want to....you get a hall pass!

    Huggsssssssss,

    Kathy

    Hi Girls,

Ok, jest went through and read all of the posts. I knew there were more things I wanted to comment on.

Cyndie, your DD is so beautiful, I love the outfits and make up. I just know you are going to be one proud Mommy when you see her perform.

Kymn, I am so sorry you are hurting. I think that volunteering at your local cancer center is a wonderful idea. It will be a distraction from the pain you are feeling and as you said, a great opportunity to meet people in your community. I wish I had some sound advise in helping your heart heal. I like Kathy's advise to you. And she has been in your shoes before so she knows what she is talking about. Each time you think about the FAH, be sure to talk to yourself about all the negative things that you DO NOT miss about him. And hang with us, we can try to pull you up when you are feeling down.

I also want NM to explain how to hypnotize a lobster, now that is funny!

Well the tenders are serving up doubles in honor of twosdey, I will take two JD and diet's please. Rounds for ebery body, dwink up!

I cssn not belive I hit the line for remove from my favorites--I was in total shock--bit I'm back. Cyndi u'r dgtr is adorable--Se's so happy looking to.

The cabbage is amaxing to bad the gas can't run the cars in the area at least.

And Dork I sounds like a fun time to me and keep any money u win. Now that sounds good to m too. Have fun. and u can alwsys close u'r eyes and pretend--I did that for years--I think it was my first husban I did thst with.

and Dork I honestly am worried about my heart=thing I get a test next week and see the dr. te following week to see how these meds work. That really bothers me and I hate that I let it cuz it doesn't help-And cancer never really ws concerned sbout so stupid I am. So if I'm more goffy than ever that's why. I'm the only person that can loose weight anf it goes way up. WTF it should be betterof course I still need to lose lots of weight, which will never hsppen-I'm realistic. it's funny I didn't tell my sister cuz she gets all upset and when I do I'll just tell her don't raise my b/p by yelling at me for not telling her. LOL Nuff about me.

U know Dork I think it was my 2nd husband too, oh and for sure the guy I lived with for 8 yrs. longer than any of my marriages. And my 2nd marriage he had 8 kids---what ws I thinking. But when I was finally alone it felt good--no drama all the time and no one saying what's for dinner or are my good jeans lost. I knew then I never wanted to be married again and now no one looks at me anymore and I don't feel bad either--I hd my time and loused it all up so I just enjoy my family and besides all my girlfriends now only aouple have husbands so i'm not alone. LOL

I'm still in shock over all the traveling that's going on. Whst an amazing bunch.I live vicariously thru sll of u. Yes for me. Joey and I were watching TV tonite and all of a sudden he say-I have to o to bed i have to go to school tom, I forgot. we both thought it was Friday..\

Two hunters went moose hunting every winter without success. Finally,
they came up with a foolproof plan. They got a very authentic female
moose costume and learned the mating call of a female moose. The plan
was to hide in the costume, lure the bull, then come out of the
costume and shoot it. They set themselves up on the edge of a
clearing, donned their costume, and began to give the moose love call.
Before long, their call was answered as a bull came crashing out of
the forest and into the clearing. When the bull was close enough, the
guy in front said, "Okay, let's get out and get him."
After a moment that seemed like an eternity, the guy in the back
shouted, "The zipper is stuck! What are we going to do?"
The guy in the front said, "Well, I'm going to start nibbling grass,
    but you'd better brace yourself."

Good morning, Loungettes!  How is everyone this ayem?

    ORLA--good advice!

Goldie--how to hypnotize a lobstah:  place the lobstah on it's head, balanced with it's claws in front.  Rub from the head to the end of the tail until the tail curls over and the lobstah stops moving and balances when not being held in place.  Some lobstahs take a long time, some just a few seconds.

CynCyn--I won't eat shrimp, the texture is just too ickkkkkkkkkkyyyyyyyyy.   Steamers are good bellies and all, scallops are good cooked or raw, not sure what talapia is. . .

YIKES!  That is a LOT of snow!

Mema--busy day you had!  No wonder you crashed when you got home!

Wahine--It always amazes me what a single Mom will do for her kids.  My hat's off to you.

Cammy--you're not being a baby.  We've been through $hit that makes us very aware that "little" things can turn into big problems without warning, and we're all appropriately afraid of it happening again.  So have a dwinky and let us share the worry!

    BBBBernie--LOL!!!!!

    Adey--HI!

Cammy--"sorry" isn't allowed on this thread.  Forbidden word!  We all understand stuff here, no need for apologies!

Kymn--it'll take time to adjust to the new situation.  Even though it was not a good one you still need to grieve the loss of the relationship and what you hoped the relationship would be.  Keep going, it will get better.

DorKable--Yeah, we can give Cammy immunity from the "S" word ban, that would be good.  Be careful with Ex-DH, remember he is EX for a reason!

See Cami, the screen was messed up on the previous page and it wasn’t you that posted a pic. LOL @ Adey saying you were lopsided tho!

LOVED the penguin joke Bernie, not only because I am in Arizona, but we joke about seeing one in a tree when we first moved out here. Was actually some sort of a hawk, but soooo looked like a penguin sitting in the tree.

Kathy, you have certainly been busy with all of your worldly travel plans….wowsa! Getting so essited for you. And such nice words to our special girl Kymn. Wallpaper on your tv screen, really……or am I falling like your DH did?

Getting essited for you too Cyn, heading north to see your baby girl. And good for you bustin on Cami, she does say that word too much, doesn’t she? OH, no trip with your daughter now? Glad you will git to Austin tho, wink wink!

    OMG, she said it again………CAMI!

Kymn, your heart will heal in time sweetheart. Just keep remembering how he hurt you and how you can do so much better. I think volunteering at your local cancer center would be awesome. And of course, you always have us to lean on and your pretty pink leopard bar stool to sit on.

Your DD is just gorgeous Cyn. No matter what make-up or hair she has on, she can pull off any look!

That’s A LOT of cabbage Lara. My guess is that it’s probably photo shopped though. I like Cami’s idea to use it for gas in the cars, lol.

OMG NM, seriously? You have done this to lobsters?

DorK’s post can cheer anyone up, can’t they Kathy? You are a riot girl. What show are  you going to see in AC?

Kathy, sorry (that word IS allowed in instances such as this) for the loss of your friends son. 50 is so very young. Sending good thoughts and prayers to the family.

Sue, did you get a new car? Waiting to hear.

DorK, I looked for a tree that grew JD, but I couldn’t find one. But I found you a new dress for your first day back at work to show off your new Pritty Titty’s.

We need a DOTD, so I was inspired by B's camel joke and it IS Hump Day.

    Copper Camel

    1 oz Bailey's® Irish cream
    1/2 oz butterscotch schnapps

Add the Bailey's Irish Cream to a shot glass and add Butterscotch Schnapps on top.

Ooh La La....our Dorkie is one HOT Mama!!! Neat how you did that, Lori, you are very talented! Love our Copper Camel dwink for Hump Dey.....purrfect. Sounds yummy, but does it have enuf likker in it? I always wonder the content is in Baileys and schnapps! Have to think of what I want to drink on that 13 hr flight to China! The plane is packed too, and I put 3 of us in that dreaded middle row of seats (and 1 on side aisle) so that we can get up easier, as it is so important to get up often. And some of you remember what happened to my poor toes when I went to OZ, and then later, to Ireland. FINALLY the nails have almost grown back normally. Hoping my leg vein surgery this spring will help out on that. Seems like I had another looooong flt this year, but can't memember, but was thinking I did ok. Chit, we can't memember trips from a month ago, let alone all year! A few yrs ago we traveled so much more, and there were several months that we would have two overseas trips in the same month, one right after the other. We were gone more than home. Talk about forgetting where we had traveled to....only way I know is to look at back pages of the calendar...LOL.

That is awesome that you hypnotized lobstahs, NM! So neat. LIke you just put them to sleep before putting them in the hot tub. A sight forever etched in my mind was when we were in Hong Kong and down a street with a gazillion little shops (like most of them!) and to sell their huge shrimp (I mean these were LONG!), they left some (alive) on a counter and they were standing up, moving around, like dancing. It broke my heart, knowing they were suffering like that, out of water. Guess that drew attention to their shrimp so they could sell more? I dunno, just awful to me. GOT to remember to NOT drink the unfiltered water. I am usually so careful till the last day, then I forget and get a frozen drink or something, and get very, very sick. DH and I were remembering today, how we were so thirsty in HK and we always wander all over the place by ourselves. We were hungry too, and stopped in a little "hole in the wall" as thats all that was in that area. Well, they gave us glasses of water that looked like the water was dirty, but we drank it anyway....then I saw where they were getting the water glasses from....they were all stacked up, full glasses of water, with a tray on top, with full glasses of water, etc. So what you got not only had dirty looking water, but the top of the glass was against the bottom of a tray (which was prolly dirty too). And no straws...don't know why we didn't get sick that time! I also came close to gettin run over if DH had not pulled me back...I was looking the wrong way in busy Kowloon, we were halfway across the street on that small area to stand on, very crowded. I saw a break in traffic, started to step out, but a double decker bus had careened around the corner and would have run me over...I mean he pulled me back in the nick of time...streets did not allow any space to step down, the vehicles were almost touching us, and they go very fast. Will never forget that, and will have to remind my parents that they drive on opposite side that we drive on.

Love that moose joke Bernie...would have hated to be the guy in the back....OUCH! lol.

Cami, try not to worry dear...nothing will be helped by worrying, try to relax, and see what the tests show...gotta let that med do its job. Yeah, I know, much easier to SAY then to DO, but I don't want you so stressed. And yes, you are immune from the "s" word, so go for it, girlfriend!

Yeah Sue, did you get a new car? I had forgotten about that!

Hugs to ALL, hump hump humping along...gonna have a bunch of camel drinks and smoke a camel (not!)....

    Kathy

The other trip was with work in Jan.

    LOL..Bernie.

NM...a friend of mine in Auburn would do the lobstah hypnotiziing thing...really cool..Im wonder if its the bending of them that maybe cuts off their circulaiton and thats why they dont move??  I love shrimp....but the Maine shrimp durring the season when you buy them off the trucks are a lot of work for little shrimp..but really cool and fresh.sometimes they are still moving.

When does Julie come home??  enee one know?

Kathy...just a few days to go..you must be getting so excited...is all your moms stuff picked out and packed?

Cami....Im praying that your heart issue is a simple thing and nothing too serious...we have enough to deal with ya know ... (( Cami)).

Appt with my pcp this morning ..just to see how my bp is now that im on that new medication thats supposed to also help with the hot flashes that its not helping with...Im doomed...Im going to ask her to perscirbe something to help me sleep at least.  Im also asking to see a podiatrist ..not that im having a problem but my mom told me that my dad being a diabetic gets free pedi (no polish) every few weeks and new shoes once a year..I wanna cash in on that if my ins does it...so...yeah..on and on I go...

    Heya Lara..whats happenin??

Adey..your funny about Cami being lopsided like the page...the page was screwed up right?? Or an I lopsided too...probably.

    K..outta here...lata tata's

We'll have the Tattie Tenders make those for you Beatmom! Pull up a pretty barstool and stay awhile....

Hope your appt goes well Cyn! Gotta see if my mom kept all those clothes we picked out, still on the spare bed (I put them in bags to keep outfits together). NOt excited yet, so much to think about and try not to forget to do! I will prolly get furcited once we get there. I realized this trip is soooo much of a hassle that maybe won't be going back to China, so need to do ALL we might want to do. Usually we go back to other countries, so I don't try to make sure we do everything. Was less hassle going to HOng KOng as well as Bangkok, cuz was a few yrs ago and less red tape. This one is toooooo restricted.

Good morning loungettes, it is so good to be back, its like i never left. Thank you Kathy for your words of wisdom, thank you Dorothy,Lori,NM and Cami for your words of encouragment. I get so tired of being in my own head. i should probably go to another counceller but sheesh the though of sitting in front of another stranger yet again and telling my sob story yet again just seems to overwhelming. I really dont know if another one could really tell me anything I dont already know, i have a frickin library of self help books.

I sent an email off to the cancer center here and it bounced back...arrggg. Guess I will have to call instead I prefer email, I think I might be a tad bit ackrophobic (SP??)

Love that new dress for Dork, she will look sooooo pwettty in it. I dont know the whole story about what Dorks x said to her but I have to agree with NM he is an x for a reason.Be Careful hunny.

Thanks girls for welcoming me back with such open arms, love you all, have a good hump day

Bearmom wait I don't knowu--Hi I'm Camille and if u'r just joining this sight it's the best thing u can do--it took me awhile and I'm sorry I missed so much---Great women here really.

I' love that dress for Dork---go for it.

Hynotize a lobster??? Do u tell it to commit suicide in a pot of steaming water so the it's off u'r hands? I don't get it. But then again it's me....

SNOW??? Oh it'll be here soon.

I can not keep up with all u'r travel plans--I'm so afraid to fly--I have but with not so good results--Like the time I screamed we're going to crash--started a little panic, I didn't know when planes turned to go a different direction--and that wasn't the worse thing I did. So I stopped flying all together. I think that's why when u tell me where u'r going I feel like u'r the bravest people ever.

And Cyn---Texas--I'd choose that too.  YYaaaYYY

Oh I have Starbucks this morning yummy  and I love thst drink, that sounds yummy--Anything with Bsileys sounds good to me. ooo Baileys would really go well with Starbucks too. Hmmmm

I' glad Dork is starting work next week a short week so that's good

Bernie as usual funny joke--I love u'r sense of humor.

OK I started my new regime of meds today hahaha-more of course not less so more SE Yaayyy I was mising some SE so now we'll see.

Kymn, one more bit of advice (well for now...sure I will add more later, lol)....but after 2 bad marriages, and was dating similar guys (would put you on pedestal and worship you just to topple you over so they would feel important)...I had a *duh* lightbulb moment! Also helped cuz I was taking psych part of nursing school, and it identified different traits, and I recognized my ex's. Sooooooo I purposely started looking at a different type of guy to date, totally opposite of what I had been attracted to...and then *voila* I met my late DH, who was WONDERFUL, but so opposite of the guys I used to fall for. Don't know if this might help you also, but maybe try to see if there is a pattern from your past relationships, or if your ex was the only one acting like that. If you do see a pattern, then try your best to break it, ok? When I realized it was "MY" choice, it made a big difference! And I want you to be happy, and in a healthy relationship that is good for YOU and your kids!!! Love ya!

Cami, Good luck with the new meds you added....hoping for no bad SE's!

Oh, and before I forget.... a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY to AUBREY!!!

Great advice wahine I to have been in failed marriages and a abusive controlling and Emotional I am over it.Once a guy shows these signs im outta there. But u get the guys who will b very charming in the beginning, so hard to tell. The wrong guy wants to control u screw u up in the head. Play mind games make u lose your freedom. These men are not worth the tear ever. Opens a new doorway to someone good in your life.

Oh I love thst picture with Aubrey's name--that's so cute. I did say HB earlier but I can no remember how to say it in Italian--wow my mind is gone.

Kymm I think Wahine is right--we hae patterns and sometimes in the back of our head we think we can change some things--because of love --Boy is that wrong. And it's funny when I'd be in a relationship and I didn't love them but liked them they knew it and treated me like a queen--with romance and gifts and time. And the 2 I actually fell in love with didn' treat me as well in fact pretty bad. LOL So u wonder--I used to always tell my girls marry someone who loves u more---and u'll be happy--there will be no rollercoaster ride it'll be the tunnel of Love ride. U don't have to be crazy in love just nicely in love. My one dgtr didn't and one did and I cann really see the difference in their relationships Even down to iving presents- One SIL gives her things he wans like speakers for the TV, The other SIL takes time and pas attention to what she wants and it's always personal. And that's a little thing. So Kymm examine u'r feelings well and go for the best--u deserve the best.

Welcome back Julie! Boy, you came back just in time for all the man-bashing! LOL. Can't wait to hear all about your trip and maybe even see some pictures(?)!!!

Yeah, Kymn, and OLara, we need to drink! Good words too, Cami....for Kymn and for your DD's, as well as the rest of us! My best friend growing up, well her mom was from Japan, and she said the same thing to them. BUT my DH loves me sooo much, but STILL doesn't quite get the present thing...he does bring me roses, etc., and sometimes does real sweet things, but for presents he usually gets things HE thinks I should want..not always exactly what I would pick out! And all the love in the world does not make them easy to live with at times!!! OK, I am done man bashing, I want a dwink!!!! Ps. Cami, I found something interesting you might enjoy reading (from a blog)....

If I were in Italy today, my Italian friends would
not have taken me out for lunch or a celebratory birthday drink. Nope. I would
have been expected to take them out and buy them a round of
drinks for my b-day. That's right. As the birthday girl, I would also be the one
to bring my own cake. At least I wouldn't be expected to buy my own gifts,
    though. There's always that.

    The Italian
translation of "Happy Birthday" is Buon Compleanno, but Italians
usually don't say this to you on your birthday. Instead, they say Tanti
    Auguri
, which means "Many Good Wishes." Come to think of it, Tanti
    Auguri
is probably best tranlated as: "I wish you happiness, health, and
above all, prosperity, so you can take me out and buy me a drink on your
    birthday."

    Tanti auguri to you all!

Ennyone here still dwinking?? Gets so dark so eurly nowadey...not used to dat, no sirreeee. I even had to drive home during  rush hour traffic, and although it really isn't too bad here, it ain't fun! (I spent the afternoon with DD and g'kids at their house...they are so sweet. My g'sons b'day will be while I am in China). Hate that it gets dark around 5pm now....soooo weird. And what was Daylight Savings Started for? For more daytime hours during winter???? IDK, but liked it in HI cuz we didn't do that...parts of AZ don't either, right? OR the entire state? I may have that wrong though. Oh well, I have the Tenders all to myself right now....and all the pillows are in place under the barstools. We are all set. I am in a lounge chair by the pool and Pants is on one side of me and Jocks on the others. And Mr. Big, well lets just say he is horizontal and getting busy!! LOL....Dwink up girls!!!

How is the birthday girl, Alli? Hope she has a fun dinner out!!!
