    oceanbum, love that song Dolly tells a funny story about that song.....Elvis wanted to record but wanted half of royalties. Dolly said no way and then said do you know how much money Whitney Houston made for me on that song and how mad I would be if I had to guve half of it to Elvis’ estate? Haha

    Makes me cry too. We were watching an old 1980s Christopher Cross concert over the weekend, and that Think of Laura song also makes me cry. Every time.

    Ocean, that is what my husband said, it was from General Hospital! I read it was the roommate of the girl Christopher Cross was dating and she was shot, he wrote the song to comfort his girlfriend.

    Interesting, Missouri. I had never heard that about Christoper Cross. I thought the song was written for General Hospital and the Luke/Laura story line.
