I can't remember if I've posted on this thread before or not, but have flown through often. Anyhoo, wanted to say that I love the beachie pictures, marlegal.
And, congrats to you, Barbe, on your new grandson. How wonderful! Such a blessing.
SoCalLisa ~ your lilacs & butterfly picture is absolutely beautiful!
Happy to meet everyone!

Now that is just gorgeous. I just love your wildlife.

I must admit to not being a photograpepher so the photos are from our local paper. We're 5 min from either the ocean or the bay but the picture with animals could have come from our front yard.

This isn't a beach exactly, but it reminds me of tiki torches, and it's an oportunity to pay it forward:
There's a hospital in Indiana that is letting people dedicate pink solar lights and they will put them all over the grounds. The money ($5/light) goes to Indiana Women In Need, a non-profit that gives services like lawn care, massage, childcare, house cleaning, etc. to breast cancer patients during treatment. I just dedicated 7 solar lights, 2 in honor of two beatiful survivors, and 5 in gratitude of 5 members of my healing team. Here's the website:

I come by and enjoy the beach, but unfortunatly am having problems posting pictures lately. My browser seems to be anti-picture! But I enjoy the ones you girls are posting.

Meece, I still can't post on Firefox, but I can on internet explorer...
but I found that when the little box comes up after alignment
I have to say top or something..

I run Linux, so I can't use Explorer. I can post pics from my other computer that has Explorer on it. I can't figure out what FireFox did, or why they did it. I am heading to AZ to see my Computer Guru Son next week. Will see what he can do for me. If he gives me an easy fix, I will pass it on to you Lisa.

Thanks Meece...I would appreciate that

It's a book!!
It's a book!!
It's a book!!
It's a book!!
It's a book!!
It's a book!!
We got home safely and met up with our 'local' grando-s and my dearest hubby had them stop by his office to pick up an over-nighted package that had arrived mid-day.
I have an advance box of two copies of my new picture book. Five years in the making & I'm sitting here holding two copies, turning the pages, smiling ear-to-ear, and jumping for joy.
It's the real deal.
It's time for a beachie party.
Fireworks.
Happy Hump Day.
Lifeguards.
Umbrella drinks.
Sand castles.
You name it.
Stop by my cabana to see the first two copies.
I'll be the one hanging in the hammock till dawn.

yipppppppeeeeeeee skippppppeyyyyyyyyyyyy
lots of zany craziness
the entire shipment of books arrived at the warehouse today! turns out the advance copies arrived earlier, while we were in CO
DH tells me last night that there is a gen-u-ine, offer from a young family to a long-term 'lease' on our OH home..... so after having it on the market for w-e-l-l over a year, closer to two, it looks as tho we may need to move everything o-u-t in the next 29 days (already a compromise, as they want sooner.) They want it for a minimum of 3 years.
In addition to the mind-numbing details above, my DD's hubby is deploying again on Sunday overseas, for a few months -- thru her birthday at a minimum, perhaps thru the holidays??? Maybe returning just before???
How could I make up such timing as this?
Bring on the umbrella drinks and happy pills. Actually I have my annual tomorrow and then yet another PT appointment, too.
Thanks to all of you for your encouragement and support. Seriously, I think you know me well enough to realize that I couldn't manage without the collective 'you.'
Beach hug.
xx00xx00xx00xx
I will probably be 'less' present that in the past.

Luck with everything Faith! thinking of you.
Peace, strength, love n hugs. chrissy

So Faith, that's all very well and good if you have equity from somewhere else to buy another house! Or are you moving in with family????
I thought your DD's husband was still "over there" I didn't know he had come home. That's the doctor.....right?
Join me in packing! I'm up to my ears and we've only been here 6 years! I told my DH to just throw out everything from the basement that I haven't touched in the last 6 years and then I began to wonder.......

My DH spent 22 years in the Navy, and personally, I loved deployments..

My sister in law thought she hated deployments so she convinced my brother to do an early out. Boy, is she sorry!

As an aside, have you all seen the video from Dr. Weiss., it not do it...

I just started a 'new' thread at the top of the top of the list;
Compassion for Dr. Weiss
The founder of BCO has been dx w BC. There are several threads posted by the moderators with a video greeting from her telling us of her journey.
I couldn't seem to post to the video, so started a new thread.
PLEASE, watch the video and then post your compassion for her 'new' journey.
Here's the link to Dr. Weiss' video announcement
http://www.breastcancer.org/about_us/press_room/press_kit/video/mw_message.jsp
Here's the link to the thread I started. (It's in the very first set of threads)
http://community.breastcancer.org/115/topic/758418?page=1#post_2004569
I can't seem to get the little link doodad to cooperate, but I think these are 'hot' just not very pretty.
Thanks beachies, she is deserving of our admiration & appreciation -- publically.
Edited for my clarity.
It seems the first link -- to the video, goes directly to the video.
It seems the second link, to the thread doesn't go there??
You can find a place to express your apprecition for Dr. Weiss under the first segment of threads:
Celebrating our 10 year anniversary.
Then the thread is: Compassion for Dr. Weiss.
