I have a feeling it's always a beach day in S California...  sigh...  My GF in New Zealand (north island) is starting to post spring weather reports on Facebook.  She has a luscious flower garden and strawberry patch in the summer.  Sigh again...

It's gloomy here today, so I thought I come over to the beach, enjoy the photos and get my toes in some sand. Aaaahh. Smile

    Faithie, have a fun trip.

It might have been more exciting if you had been with 25,000 preschoolers!

Ahhh, relaxing on the beach in my blue, tummy-control bathing suit, reading a book.  Varadero, Cuba.  Wish I was there now.

It's on my list -- maybe late spring/early summer with a GF -- when the spring break monsters aren't there -- probably go to Holguin, Cuba this time.  I'm also thinking of the Caymans by myself -- Ritz Carleton spa and beach fun.  Trying to convince another GF that you can gamble in the Caribbean (she wants Las Vegas) and go in January.  No matter what, I will be in the ocean, lying on a beach soon!!!

To hell with the cost!! Get your butt down there as quick as you can and give yourself a 2 week break so that if you are cabin-bound again (God forbid) you can live off those memories until next time! Laughing

    Wow konacat,

I had to do a double take when I saw you mention Varadero, Cuba.

That's where my Mom grew up.  They lived just a couple of houses down from The Club Nautico until around the time Castro took over!  Left with not much other than the clothes on their back and rebuilt their lives here.

Beautiful beaches there!  I hope to visit one day.

Barbe, I also see inspiration.  No matter our physical problems we can still find joy in life.  Maybe in a different way than before, maybe we need a little help to find it but it is still there.

former Women of the Navy today and then having lunch at the Naval Air

    Station, Coronado,,should be fun..
