That has to be one of the best things on a birthday, to get to sit around and not worry about the clock.  Soak it up, Faithie.

I couldn't see it with the city light reflecting off the fog.  Bummer.  Needed to see something like that tonight.

I saw them as numbers because my mind is always squiggled.

Crap -- I thought they were just decorative squiggles.

I could erase my post and we can all think they were squiggles.  I thought it was in reference to feeling young, sorry.

    WOWOW!!!

KK!!!!! It's terrific to see you beach-side.... AND that cake seriously must have been designed with 'me' in mind!! I only saw squiggles, until Meece interpreted them for us. I think the back side of the cake has a squiggled 29 -- because I am now officially "faithandfifty-FOUR!!!

I decided way-back-when, that I would not add a year to my name, each Dec as I thought that might be confusing. So I am frozen in time as the youthful faithandfifty, but having no secrets, of course you best buddies can do the math on your own.

Milestones all over the place. Today was my last "official" visit to a program that I've been going to monthly for the last 14.5 years! Sigh. It's a good thing, this moving forward, but these farewell passages are pulling on my heart strings a tad.

Since the grand-kiddos are here, I will always be swinging thru OH to see them & will create return 'surprise' visits to my various schools around town...... so this isn't saying goodby forever, or not exactly.

    Now I ramble.

Lisa. I am soooooooo impressed with you mom's painting. Such an inspiration to think of that capability as a 90 year old. I think in this next chapter of my life, I will be investing in some paint brushes!

DH is bringing a trailer home later today & the packed boxes will be stowed inside..... he's taking a trip down to FL on Thurs with this load of what we've been able to get organized so far.

    Reality is starting to dawn.

But tonight I have a 'big' dinner with some hob-nobbing to do, so can't think about it just yet.

Thanks again to all for the birthday "fun" and I'll add that lovely charm to my charm bracelet. Thanks Raj.

KK....... I forgot to ask, have you made your genuine, IRL, beach reservation yet? Have you decided on a location?? Are you using the Mum travel registry for your decision making??

Love it Mum! I happen to know that poinsettias are indigenous to Mexico. I do though, wonder why they need so much watering when they come up here?????

So true, Lisa.  My brother who used to make regular travels into Mexico on scientific trips, says he will think twice before the next one.

I still keep my mom,s dresses  for memory. My mom died  at 49 yrs. in 1973 from Cancer, when I was hardly 13 yrs. Whatever she possesed I got them now. Everytime when I recal her  I used to look at her things and feel  happy. Mother  is so precious that we can,t have two mothers and can,t call mom to any other person. I get emotional now when I think about her.
