Lisa, what a gorgeous picture!
I'm in the market for a new "pocket" camera. No fancy lens, just a good point and shoot. Anyone have one they love?

I guess my msg was deleted or something..I love my pocket
Panasonic Lumix. DMC-ZS5
It has 12X optical zoom..I always keep it in my purse, how do you think I get some
of my pix?...
I am sure the newer model of the same camera is better yet..

Marlegal, I know if I pay $100 for a pocket camera in Canada I will get great pictures. I do not know what that translates to down there...$75???? But my Nikon D80 is for when I go on a treasure hunt. I keep the pocket one in my purse for surprise encounters. We do not miss a trick, do we Lisa?
If I was only going to have one camera I would make sure it had a Zweiss lens at least. And up to 50x zoom. Normal is lower (35?), but it can be done. (as Lisa has) No reason to spend more than $200 or you might as well get into a Nikon or Canon.

Well Ladies I am back from my cruise, our Israel stop was bypassed since the peace treaty had not yet been signed but we did hit all the rest of our scheduled ports.
Not quite a beach but it will have to do.Cairo was the craziest and one of the dirtiest cities I have ever seen. But it was so worth the drive in to see the Pyramids.
These were taken with my little pointand shoot cannon will try and show you some of tinyfishy's shot after he gets organized.

Love your pictures from Cairo. I have some pictures Mom took there in Nov, 1964. She was not anywhere as good a photographer you are! I always wished Dad could have gone along, he was almost as good as you and lilfishy.
I do have a picture of Mom on camel back. She was an elegant, well dressed lady. She was also a very obese but well "corsetted" person. Somehow she looked like she had ridden camels all her life and belonged there.

Rode a camel in Australia. Much prefer horses.

Mum - so glad you are back. Love the pictures.
I have a Samsung PL210, 14.2 mega pixels, 10x zoom that I carry in my purse, but I always forget I have it, but then I am not as observant as most of you.

Barbe, they are my favorite animals to visit at the zoo..mainly because they are such curious creatures..I have an annual pass to the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park. But the zoo is right across the street from where I get my breast cancer care so I pop in often..I just go to one area for a short time. But if I get there right when they open and I head over to the giraffes, they see me first and come over to take look..fun

Hi Beachy's....Thank You for ALL your support! It is what it is....my friend has ovarian cancer. Right now she is recovering from the surgery & soon will start chemo. They gave her about 25% chance of surviving this. It's really bad. It's been a busy few weeks as along with working my DH & I are helping to pick up some of her duties as Youth Group Director at our church. She is a fighter & now that a plan is in place her spirits have picked up a bit.
I'm counting down the days to my first mammo after my surgery. Next Wednesday is the day! I want it done & over with as I have been feeling more achyness, itching (which is a sign of triple neg bc) & a pain that felt just about like the one that led me to get checked out in the first place. Although it lasted 2 days this time instead of 3 days like that one. I told my Rads Onc all about the different types of aches & pains. He just chalks it all up to shooting pains from the RADS! I will see what my surgeon will say!!!! More than likely it's nothing but the squirrels are getting antsy until I know the results!
Loving ALL the FUN & VIEWS with your finders!!!
