Kay Yow loses battle with breast cancer
Kay Yow, coach of the NC State girl's basketball team lost her 21 year battle with BC early this morning. A friend emailed me from NC this morning and I found the following link. This was truly a remarkable lady.

I always admired Kay for her strength and courage in the face of this beast. I'm so sorry she has left us.

I'm so glad to see the link about Coach Yow here. To see someone live their life as full and complete after a breast cancer diagnosis is a wonderful inspiration to me. She lived life to the fullest, was greatly admired by many, inspired and taught so many people, and she will be remembered always. What a wonderful legacy.
Here is another link worthy of checking out: http://www.wbca.org/kayyowwbcacancerfund.asp

I don't know what else to say about her that hasn't been said here. I never met her but from all the news stories and interviews of former students and friends she was a classy lady and inspiring to all those around her. On the local news they showed clips of her team playing a game from a couple of years ago in pink jerseys and all had her name across the back where their name should have been.

Our high school girls basketball team is going to honor Yow at their next home game by wearing either pink shoelaces or armbands.
Condolences to her family, friends and players.

Yow is a HERO!
What Cancer CANNOT Do~
It cannot cripple Love
It cannot shatter Hope
It cannot corrode Faith
It cannot destroy Peace
It cannot kill Friendship
It cannot suppress Memories
It cannot silence Courage
It cannot invade the Soul
It cannot steal Eternal Life
It cannot conquer the Spirit.-Author Unknown
