Gym Sunday night and today at lunchtime…good start to the week. I should get in 5x at gym this week…that really works so much better for me than only 2x that I got last week.

Yeah!!! on the new baby granddaughter, woohoo.

Don't even get me started on the weather🤣

Ruth: The weather has been very disturbing. I watch the ABC Nightly News with David Muir. The majority of the time the opening story is weather related - fires, floods, tornadoes, etc. Tonight it was about the fire in Nevada. And global warming is a hoax. The biggest hoax, a con job. Righhttt.

M0mmy: Hope your furbabies didn't claw you. It's a hard job.

I volunteered at the clothes closet this afternoon. Right before closing time a huge donation of 4 large leaf collecting trash bags and 2 large garbage can trash bags arrived. We briefly looked through them and will empty the bags next week. There was a brand new backpack with tags (that's like winning the lottery) and fly fishing waders in one of them. You never know what you're going to find and can't wait to see what else is in the bags.

Walked this evening. One more day of decent weather before it gets muggy again.

This weekend I decided to paint one of my pumpkins for dd. It represents her growing family. I rinsed it off 3 times before deciding to keep it as it is.

    Beautiful pumpkin!!

We will be off for a dog walk soon, Core tonight. In between, I have a hair appointment & have to get organized because I am hosting WWW for breakfast in my backyard tomorrow morning after the walk. People are very bad about RSVPing; which is very bad when you are trying to plan anything!!! Either I will run out of food or have leftovers coming out of my ears!

TT: Hope nothing stops you from getting to the gym 5 times this week.

M0mmy: I have never trimmed any of my cats' nails. I would be too nervous to do it.

Ruth: Good luck with your WWW breakfast tomorrow!

    Walked this evening.

Fabulous WWW picture! Hope your breakfast went well. Looks like a beautiful day.

TT: You might get to the gym more than 5x this week.

Short walk this evening. Temperatures are staying in the mid to upper 80s but dew points and humidity are up again and will be for quite a while according to the weather forecasters. 90s return next week. Oh well. I enjoyed the last 2 days.

Dance2fit, where our teacher put together a dance for Dolly Parton's "9 to 5", and our cool down was to her song "Light of a Clear Blue Morning". She wrote it in 1977, but put together a new version this January to raise money for pediatric cancer research. I stayed for yoga where we celebrated the lunar eclipse with a move called 'Moonflowers'.

Fun fact about the song 9 to 5, the typewriter like sound in the song was actually Dolly rubbing her nails together.

Got to the gym last night to make 5x this week. That will be it for this week as my normal gym time today will be spent in church at my Tai Chi instructor's funeral…so I will be with my gym friends (we agreed to save a pew whoever gets there first so we can all sit together) but for a very different reason.

Nice WWW picture, 14 years…that's over 700 walks!

Thinking of you today, TT. 💓

Mat Pilates & a dog walk today. We're going to the high school's opening football game tonight & will walk to the stadium (about 10 blocks) & home again.

    lol on the picture, Ruth!

Walked yesterday and today. Dh and I met another couple for supper tonight at my favorite restaurant. We had a private room so it's not noisy.

Ruth, love the pic. It reminds me of when I was in college and some students even thought showing up was optional. In one class, the instructor went off on a student because she and her friend kept chatting while he was doing his job! He told them to either show up the next class prepared to learn something or to drop his class because they weren't giving their parents thier money's worth in paying tuition for them to attend.
