Tai Chi instructor is in China for 3 weeks of "study" so I took a new class today at lunchtime - Move, Breathe, Meditate…it was interesting but not enough Move for me!

Good to see you Badger and thanks for the belated b'day wishes 🎂

While not the vehicle I drive everyday, we have a 2001 F150…our boat and beach car, single cab and 8 foot truckbed to carry tons of stuff…original miles: 67500! Just had it inspected, 25 years and counting. The fact that your mechanic bought your old Camry for his son shows it was still solid…good for a High School kid around town, but not for touring about. Happy trails ahead!

Glad you are feeling better, mOmmy.

Welcome back, badger! Congratulations on the retirement, new car & clearance to exercise!

Here's the Wednesday Walking Women celebrating some birthdays after our walk.

Phase 2 of Winter prep. Started changing out my clothing. Only got through pjs and started putting away other stuff. Halfway done but called it a day.

HIT & Dance2fit yesterday. Mat Pilates & dog walking today. STILL no hot water!! The part we need for our hot water heater is on a truck & will supposedly arrive Monday. Good Grief! Today I took a shower at my fitness center, washed two loads of clothes in cold water, and heated up water on the stove so I could wash dishes. I am not liking the life of a frontier woman!!

Glad you’re back, Badger! Have fun with your new car.

M0mmy: Hope you continue to improve daily.

TT: Your Tai Chi instructor may come back with a whole new program for you.

Ruth: Yikes about your hot water heater. You’re living out your frontier picture from the museum!

We had several days of rain but now it’s sunny and in the 70s with low dew points. I’m at Girl Scout camp for my adult only weekend and it’s perfect. Last night was cold but my sleeping bag was warm and I wrapped a shirt around my head. I’m sleeping in a cabin with my friend who I play mahjongg with . We are teaching a beginners class (l’m past being a beginner but still learning every time I play) in an hour. Right now I’m just sitting in the woods listening to the trees I hoping I don’t get hit by the falling nuts.

It sounds like a perfect camping weekend, Wonderland. Enjoy! (And what a pretty picture!)

Two dog walks & another shower at my fitness center. Supposedly the the part will be in on Monday. Argh!!

Look at that beautiful blue sky!

My mom cancelled out of her Dr appt on Friday, so I substituted in a gym class on Friday to make 5x last week!

Got to the gym last night…but won't be back again until Wednesday evening. Today is crazy busy at school and tomorrow I am having patio time (read wine on the patio) with girlfriends instead of gym. 😁

Aah, patio time sounds lovely!! I will be right over!!

No exercise yesterday because we were watching the grandpuppies. A little walk this morning (cut short by a downpour of rain, which we need very badly). This afternoon I got my flu & Covid shots & did some housecleaning. HIT tonight. The part for the hot water heater FINALLY came in, I'm waiting for the tank to heat up before I take a very long shower!!

Finally catching up on laundry! Got the last of the summer and winter clothes exchanged and put away. Started making a donate pile as I went. Even straightened the storage area upstairs and straightened the small room where we keep stuff that cant go upstairs. Now I am pooped!

Ruth: So happy that you have hot water again!

TT: Wine on the patio with girlfriends is the best.

m0mmy: I'm still wearing summer clothes so it will be awhile before I make my exchanges.

Had a blast at camp this weekend. The theme was slumber party so Saturday night was full of food and games. Lots of walking.

Went on a short walk this evening after getting my flu shot.

I can feel your crisp air, Ruth! Pretty pictures.

Yesterday I met a friend for a walk and talk. It had been several months since I last saw her and it was good to catch up.

Today I played mahjong with my regular group. I won the first 2 games!

Sad post - my DH passed away yesterday. He died peacefully in his sleep. I will say here and nowhere else that IMO he died of stubbornness. We went out to dinner on Weds. We were getting ready to leave when he complained of chest pain, his eyes lost focus, and he slumped over in the booth. OMG scary! I called 911 thinking heart attack. Police and EMS came. They checked his heart and blood sugar, both good, but his BP was dangerously low. EMS wanted to take him to the ER but he refused. He felt lousy all day Thursday and said he'd call the doc first thing in the morning but he never woke up Friday morning. I can't help but think, if he had gone to the ER Weds PM, he would still be alive.

I'm OK, just kind of mad at him, but there's only so much a wife can do. He hated doctors and all things medical. We had both just retired and were planning road trips and a cruise for our 30th wedding anniversary. Now I'm planning a funeral, dammit.

He was not a religious man so if you have a faith tradition, please pray for us.

Walked yesterday & disassembled all the flowers in pots, put away lawn furniture etc. Walked & yoga today.

    Badger: ❤️

Ruth: You're going to miss your flowers.

It rained off and on again this weekend so I didn't walk. Instead I painted more pumpkins. Today I volunteered at my church's clothes closet.

I painted the cat pumpkin for my friend who loves cats (she as 7 of them). Little baby likes the book called Little Blue Truck. It's a book series about the truck and his friends - toad likes to be the driver. Little Blue says "Beep" in the book but I switched it up for Halloween so that the truck says "Creep." The witch owl is for my friend who loves owls. The Lily and the violet are for her grandchildren.

Your pumpkins are SO creative, Wonderland!!

Yesterday I went to HIT, Dance2fit and walked the dog. I spent this morning at my church making meatballs for the fundraiser supper they have each fall. Rolling 300 pounds of raw hamburger into small balls in ALMOST enough to turn me into a vegetarian. Ha! (Luckily a bunch of volunteer showed up, so I wasn't doing this alone, and it would have been worse being one of the people who were frying them up!). We'll do the usual dog walk this afternoon & I will go to Core.

    Thinking of you, Badger.💓

Finished decorating for Halloween. Had a bare spot on the back of a bush in the back yard. Threw up a strand of lights that are ghosts and one of mummies. That was after taking some stuff to storage and then visiting with my aunt over lunch.

Ruth: I can't imagine what rolling 300 pounds of raw hamburger would be like. Don't think I want to know lol

m0mmy: I bet your lights look spooky at night.

Today I made little baby a busy box. You pull ribbons from side to side of the box. He will get it tomorrow - hope he likes and plays with it.

Walked this late afternoon. First time I could smell Fall in the air.

I never heard of a Busy Box before. Looks fun! Here's the WWW eating after our walk. DH worked at the church supper & I joined him for dinner when his shift was done. Rhe meatballs were much more fun to eat than they were to prepare!

Another great WWW picture. Glad all that work of rolling meatballs made for a good dinner.

I called it a busy box but it's really called a tugging box. Little baby tugged on a few of the ribbons today. I think I had more fun pulling the ribbons than he did. He'll get the hang of it.

Great pictures of WWW and love the pumpkins.

It is fall break at school so I'm at the NC outer banks, exercise is walking the beach - which I love. It is low 70's, so perfect.

Last night we went to Chef Vivian Howard's (A Chef's Life on PBS) restaurant - pricey but fun and enough left over for tonight's dinner.

    Holding you close Badger. TT

    Enjoy the Outer Banks, TT!

Yesterday I went to HIT in the morning, Dance2fit & stayed for Yoga. They have changed the time of my Sunday yoga to a time that is only rarely going to work for me; so I am bummed about that. Today I went to Mat Pilates & we did a dog walk. The rest of the day, I've been cleaning the house while DH cleaned out the garage. Neither a very fun way to spend the day!
