I got rid of my last 2 (February) vacation pounds. Easter will probably not be good!

Well good for you Ruth to be back to normal - ahead - of the next big dinner festival!

    Congratulations, Ruth!

I'm up today. My wedding ring is tight from fluid retention, always a clue that I've eaten in a restaurant.

We fly to Amsterdam on Sunday to begin a Viking River Cruise so I won't be weighing for three weeks. It will be better that way!

Have fun Carole, I know of two folks from church who in the past month+ took a Viking Cruise from Amsterdam…all fantastic stories…have fun.

I plan to retire after next school year, spring 2026, and have a Viking Cruise reserved for Alaska in June 2026 as my big "i'm retired" present!

    Enjoy, TT

Forgot to weigh in here for a few years. Going well though. I have been a healthy weight for over a year. I‘ve found heavy (for me!) weight lifting really good for building muscle and it seems to help me to eat healthily too. Working out with a friend to keep me going. I’ve also cut down on drinking, limiting myself to alcohol on only 2 days in the last 7 days as a maximum. It’s hard - calories and alcohol are definitely emotional crutches! Also going for a walk every day. Losing weight and maintaining a lower weight and healthier habits has really helped my arthritis and I’ve delayed having my 2nd hip replacement because the pain was so much reduced but it does seem to be coming back recently. I’m coming up for my 10 year cancer free anniversary, and hoping for another few cancer free decades so I’m trying to do all the right things! Great to see that you are too! Love and light to you my friends. XX

Great job, scotbird. I started taking some weight lifting classes, to build muscles AND bones. Muscles weigh more than fat, so you look better and can wear a smaller size at whatever weight when you are toned. The second reason I'm lifting those weights is because I had slipped into the osteopenia range when I had my last DEXA. Weight lifting (and exercise where you pound your bones (walking, running, tennis, dancing etc.) all help build bones.

Stayed the same, which I am claiming as victory after my work trip to DC with three days of eating what was available vs what I shopped for! TT

I am still 3 pounds over the very top of where I want to be. I know it's because I am 'snacking' before bedtime.....even if it's not unhealthy food, it's still calories.

Down 1, now back to June 2022…I feel like I am on some kind of WW2 movie across the tundra making my way/weigh back home to March 2020. TT😀
