These were taken at the Bronx zoo, it's amazing how they seem to pose on their own! (The baby is in the water looking on in the second photo.)

I LOVE the sea lions :-)   Keep posting!  I come here every day for a giggle or some inspiration.  You never know who you touch with your posts.  When I was growing up on the west coast the sea lions would get on my dad's boat dock and sunbathe.  They were not afraid of people and it was so fun to watch them play.

Music - No, that's not what I meant.  I love the sea lions!  (As a matter of fact, your post reminded me that I need to get it together and go to the zoo one of these days as it's one of my favorite places.)  All I meant was that we just don't have the participation we used to here for whatever reason... and after all, it is Sunday!

There is a really cool zoo like place in Arizona that I went to a few years ago, they do this Tiger Splash thing that is amazing.  It is located just south of Sedona.  Have you been there?  If not, you really need to go. (I loved Sedona, I would retire there but I guess that's not possible now, unless they find a cure.... )

I just looked it up...  it's called "Out of Africa"

This video gives you just an idea http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJcBh9_PkvE

I really do hope that they treat the animals well, we had a great time there and I would hate to hear otherwise.

Went to our little local zoo this summer and it was so hot that the tiger got into his water trough.

I didn't know they liked water.  That video is amazing of the Tiger Splash!

Music - I've heard of that one, but have never been.  My personal all-time favorite is the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum located west of Tucson.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arizona-Sonora_Deser... It's unlike any other zoo environment I've every seen.  It's on about 98 acres out in the desert and incorporates a zoo, botanical gardens, and an aquarium.  All animals and vegetation are or were native to the desert at some point in time, and they did have seals the last time I was there!  It's well worth a visit if anyone is ever in the area!
