My cat is the worst for that. At 3 or 4 AM he tries to lick me. If I kick him out of my room, he scratches at the door. Sigh.

Mine will sit in the hallway and meow til I get up or he comes in the room and meows til I get out of bed

sassy, that does look like my cat, except her eyes are crystal blue. We make sure they have food and water at night so they don't wake me for food. The white one loves to sleep on my chest, chin to chin. The other has become a cuddler or likes sleeping on my head (probably because of soft pillows).
Wish I could fall back to sleep for a couple hours.

My Rufus was a Maine Coon, and he had an amazing personality (catanality?) and love to sleep on my chest. RIP. Our new one is Sophie, and she's a daddy's girl. It might be because she tried to get on my chest after BMX and I may have screamed. But dad is so soft these days, and he is her hero,
