Alive, I have Dini a lab/pit mix +- 7-8 y/o male, that came with the DBFin late 2012. Except for the first Christmas meeting with BFF's Flat Coated Retriever @ Christams, 2012, ALL has been well. Until. T-day, 2014. DS's DGF brought her < 1y/o, m, boxer. Dini was establishing dominance, very tense first several minutes. Then the chase began. Around and around they went. As they went round the house again and again, the feet between pup and older started to widen. Then the pup began to tease. Whew.
The end of the day, Dini could hardly walk to go out and pee. We had to make a nest on the floor. You could tell he didn't understand it. I felt sooo bad.
Schatzi is the same age, but doesn't care about dominance. She let them work it off.
