    Hi grebnerog

Sorry about your mom. I'm not a medical professional but will share my story. Hope it gives you both some piece of mind.

I had my lumpectomy 5 years ago with radiation, no chemotherapy. Lived with Chrons for 40 years, many surgeries along the way. I'm 60 years old.

When i was dx with cancer, I did a lot of research about cancer and Chrons and found there was not much info. Spoke with my onc and gastro docs., no help there either. Had lots of anxiety about what could go wrong, much as you and your mom are now.

In the end, I was fortunate to have no serious affect on my Chrons. My issues were about not healing well; which has a lot to do with autoimmune diseases.... Chrons and cancer. I was not able to tolerate hormone therapy so I'm going without. Once i stopped those meds and radiation, things slowly returned to normal. (Or at least, my normal)

Hope this info is helpful. Sending positive wishes to you both. Take care
