Ms. Kay developed the idea for the 9/11 Portraits in Grief columns for The New York Times. As a native New Yorker, and one who knew too many who lost their lives on that horrible day, I have found comfort in the portraits. Knowing that those lives lost will always be remembered, thanks to Ms. Kay, makes her loss all the more powerful. At 54, she passed too soon. I hope her loved ones will find comfort in knowing her loss is felt by strangers.....may she RIP

    That is one day I will never forget, I think I was in shock. Sorry to hear Ms. Kay passed away.
