Some days you don't even know where to start. I'm disgusted that so far seems like Musk is still getting a free hand into all the things he should not be able to. Thanks Congress. They don't seem to GET just how many expendable people there are. And once more, what happens when YOU people are the only ones left. You know what rolls downhill. So, what makes anyone think they are safe when SS is tampered with and all your cohorts/republican constituents are feeling the heat. You are in charge and it will BE ON YOU. The buffer only lasts so long till it erodes and then you are the naked prey. I'm so glad I'm not you.

I am going AWOL for a week. I'm off on a vacation with 3 friends of 50 years (who, thankfully, feel as we do). I rarely can get to BCO on my phone, so I am not going to try. See you in a week (unless my plane flips upside down because we don't have any air traffic people still working…..). 😮

Ruth, you will sure be missed, but I do hope you have an enjoyable and fun time. Wonderful that your friends happen to ALL see eye to eye with you (and us too) as far as politics. Should anything come up while you're together you won't have to stay quietly silent and cringing.
As to planes flipping or anything having to do with a plane — I won't feel great until you report being home again.

It is maddening that so much is going on in our world (U.S. political life especially) and it seems for now we are not getting too far. Then again, with how far ranging much seems to be and the amt. of loss that is in fact heavily accruing to Republicans as well, if the damn breaks things could really dissolve quickly for the current regime. At least that is what I hope happens.
It still seems there are plenty of people (a fair number are Reps.) who have not yet felt enough pain and distress to be totally convinced that they too are getting sucked into the eddy. Having made it through the first round in 2016, they assume they will be fine again. Not when the greedy billionaires take over — and they (while perhaps far from honorable) really do have what they say and aren't the orange frauds just like the guy they had to elect. None of them have any REAL need for any other Reps. and even less for the Reps. who in general have nothing.
So, I do think things could turn to real rot for the current WH manipulators because they don't care anymore about who YOU are. If the tables turn that is a whole lot of people to be rearing up on you.

BREAKING: Democratic star Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez shreds the "cowards" in the Trump administration after Border Czar Tom Homan launches a shameful attack calling her the "dumbest congresswoman ever elected to Congress."
This ignorant caveman bit off way more than he could chew...
"Look she's the dumbest congresswoman ever elected to the Congress and she proves that every day," Homan stammered on Newsmax.
"And look, bottom line is, I can't remember any member of Congress — Republican, Democrat, Independent — would want to educate criminal illegal aliens who are in the country illegally, been convicted of a violent crime and have been ordered removed by an immigration judge after due process and great taxpayer expense," he continued.
"And you've got a congressman, or congresswoman, that does not want ICE to do their job that Congress has mandated them to do and funds them to do!" he added.
He was referring to a webinar that AOC hosted called "Know Your Rights With ICE" that was designed to inform undocumented immigrants about the best way to handle encounters with the enforcers of Trump's authoritarian deportation program.
While Homan previously implied that AOC broke the law by hosting the webinar and could in fact prosecution, the truth is that there is absolutely nothing illegal about informing people of their legal rights.
She advised them of such benign tactics as demanding to see proper warrants if someone knocks on their door and recording interactions with ICE via video or note-taking.
AOC shared the video of Homan calling her dumb and wrote:
"This is why you fight these cowards."
"The moment you stand up to them, they crumble."
"Homan has nothing. The Fourth Amendment is clear and I am well within my duties to educate people of their rights."
"He can threaten me with jail & call names all he wants. He’s got nothing else."
As usual, Ocasio-Cortez is correct. The only "dumb" one here is the MAGA thug who thinks that informing people of their legal rights is somehow illegal.
Republicans love smearing AOC's intelligence because she was once a bartender. They hate the idea that a working class person — through charisma, vision, and intellect — can rise to the halls of power in America. They'd much prefer that Congress remain the playground of the generationally wealthy.

I did have a laugh over this one which I sure appreciated. I also recall with the metal ones have fingers that stuck to the tray coming out. Always felt horrid. Then, after carefully getting the filled up tray back to the freezer successfully, bumping the shelf in on the way to positioning it inside. GRRRR. Still celebrating to this day fridge's with icemakers.
