Good post, Divine. I am afraid to write a long one because I get 'access denied' when I submit (although what I posted appears when I come back). Argh!!

If anyone wants to offer feedback on the new format, I've opened a new topic just for that purpose. Please reply with your own critique and suggestions for improving the forums. The administrators here seem very sensitive to user needs, so our thoughts are likely to make a good difference.

Thanks, Miriandra. I have reported inability to return to previous pages/access denied, etc. to moderators but problems still persist. Loading is soooooooooooooooooooo slow. I find this white background and the small print creating reading difficulties. Not much has changed though they have responded they are working on it. You made some excellent points about page formatting and does anyone else see upload info instead of the avatar for some members? I see it for DIvine MrsM on this page. Hopefully the kinks will disappear soon.

If you go to his Twitter page there is more on this....

Miriandra, thanks for starting that thread, I will visit the link. All I see for my avatar is a blank circle, even tho I haven’t done a thing to it in months. I feel badly for complaining about the new format as I'm sure the mods were probably excited about it, but many members seem unhappy with it, me included. In addition to my avatar, I find the use of the Arial font for everything, small print and lack of color to be boring, slow loading pages is frustrating, and no way to stay signed in but needing to log in every time I visit the forum. I realize change can be hard for some but is this truly an improvement?

What a PIA to sign in to post a reply when you are already on a forum! I just got kicked out and had to scroll through to get back here to post. Arial is an ADA mandate for font style but it is the font size that is the issue. Plus the incredibly large margin on the left which I think contributes to the font size being so small. When I sign in I still see your upload info for your avatar DivineMrsM. This white background is a killer on the eyes and again the slow loading continues to be an issue. Yes, I do feel for the moderators but the issues we raise have an impact on us as well and I don't remember being informed this change was coming. Kind of feel blindsided by something that maybe wasn't necessary?

I haven’t been able to stay logged in for months. So each time, I had to do it all over. They did have announcements about changes coming there.
Count me in for being very unhappy with this improvement “ I shot off a pm to mods yesterday am, they did reply they’re working on issues. If it wasn’t broke, why mess with it.

If they were going to make a change, they should have put in a way for you to reply to someone's post where you quote them and they are alerted that you did that. This is just slow moving and has a different look

Dear Members,
We hear and understand the frustrations with your experiences thus far with the site and community redesign. We are in constant communication and working closely with our tech and developer teams to resolve issues and bugs. We are taking all feedback to our team.
In an effort to streamline that process and make sure nothing is missed, please continue to post any and all glitch/bug or overall site feedback on the established thread: https://community.breastcancer.org/forum/93/topics...
Thanks again, we are so appreciative of you all!

Mods, I have to laugh. Did you not tell us on the "glitches" thread that you preferred us DMing you our complaints? Yes, we still posted them on the thread. You've changed your tune here. Now you say to post to that thread. Continuity is not in BCO's vocabulary on some things it seems.

Dear Kathindc,
Yes you are right that we would prefer receiving a pm in regards to your complaints, glitches, feedback, etc with respect to the new design, however, we have also heard that many prefer or choose to post in the Glitches thread so that option remains.

Powerful and sad message that parents would have to do this, while we have parents who are pushing for banning masks without any concern for immunocompromised children or those too young for immunizations. You can bet that if it were their child, their tune would be different but what I am seeing is pure selfishness and ignorance on the part of the majority. Our society has developed moral and ethical rot for the most part and it makes me sick.
When I saw dumbo of FL chastise children for wearing a mask, I wanted to go for his jugular as did the mother's of those children who were intimidated into removing their masks. Bully behavior on display and tolerated by the surrounding adults which makes it even worse to view.

"We've got to stop with this COVID theater"? Well, they have some pretty good special effects in ERs then.

I know this is off topic but I can’t get into the glitches thread. I don’t know if this is just due to my device or not but the new look has a tiny size font. Too small. Also, getting into threads is taking a long time.

This 'update' is driving me crazy!! I don't feel like I can drop by with a few thoughts because I know it is going to be a slow, annoying process......

Ruth,
Agreed! I tried to access this thread 4X only to receive an access denied message. Finally got in but hoping this message posts. I readily admit that my knowledge of website construction and functioning is almost non-existent but I have been surprised by how glitch laden this re-design has been. Did they skip the beta test?

My first attempt today to get to this thread ended with a message indicating the site was down. Next try got here. Note that the only easily readable words are the Topic and Donate. HMMMM!

How many thousands of dollwere WASTED on this “upgrade “?

It's so hard to get in & the font is so little and light, that I'm exhausted before I even write anything!

The moderators have switched where we can post our annoyance with the multiple problems with this "soft" rollout that quite frankly is a failure. I have been denied access to multiple forums that I normally visit and sometimes post on, been disconnected and then today told multiple times that the site was down when I could see that others had just posted! I have complained to the moderators and now find that they really do not want feedback since they are turfing it to a site that also doesn't work! Frustrating to say the least and difficult to accept that this is an "upgrade" when it appears to be a step back in time. Glad I am not the only one having issues with access, misery does love company.

See, when you get as old as I am, you don't like change.... So all you have to do is try & log in to this site, go take a shower while you are waiting.... come back to see if it is logging you in, and if not, run to the store to pick up some bisquits & gravy.... check again.... & go do your nails.
By then you should be logged in! No problem!
I forgot what else I was going to say............

And it's like "where are my friends?" 1/2 of them CAN'T post and have just plain given up! It's much easier to communicate by email than it is on here!

We know, and are passing all feedback to the designers and tech team. Really sorry for all this frustration. We're hearing you!

Poem by Mekhala Saran
As Ukraine combats the Russian invasion, and civilians in the country fear for their lives, the devastating impact of war becomes evident. 'Ballad of Bawling Babies' is a poem on war and what war does to us.
Valour is mute
So if war comes
It will not be the sound of honour,
Of sturdy men in sturdy boots
That you will hear
What you will hear,
However,
Will be a ballad of bawling babies
Broken, Ailing, Hungry...

Great poem, magiclight.
I hear you chevyboy. You are most likely correct about some just up and quitting rather than wait or hope it doesn't delete what you have tried to post. Glad to see moderators are reading posts about our frustrations. It should not have been this difficult to transition to a new provider. Hope after enduring all this that it will be better.

Pathetic, maybe they should 'freedom truck' to the Ukraine if they want to learn about what the lack of freedom really means.
