Here are the details:On Monday, the House Judiciary Committee announced they would be holding a "field hearing" in Manhattan next week, to examine "Victims of Violent Crime in Manhattan." The hearing would investigate how Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's policies may have led to an "increase in violent crime" in New York City. Not so fast. In a statement, Bragg clapped back, pointing out that violent crime in New York is actually down since he took office — and lower than the major cities in Jim Jordan's own state. "NYPD data show shootings and homicides are down in New York City for the first quarter of this year ... Virtually every major crime category is lower in Manhattan now than it was last year (as of 4/2/23): murders are down 14%, shootings are down 14%, burglaries are down 21%, and robberies are down 8%." What is it about the Reps. like Jordan. So full of getting even. Seems to me, watching many of them, they just outright could not care less about how they appear to those whom they know don't agree with them. Hell bent for leather they just keep stacking it up. I guess they feel like they are Teflon too and will win out, so it does not matter. They lost the ability to figure out or care that there is going to be a make-break on everything. I guess they will just keep on piling it up until the pile collapses under its own weight. I'm praying that happens sooner than later.

Speaking of Moscow Mitch, has anyone heard anything about him recently? He hasn't been seen in public since his "fall" in early March. I'm wondering if he had a stroke or some other debilitating event.
I just have this feeling that he isn't the one communicating with his colleagues. It may be his wife or staff sending the messages, since no one has actually seen him or spoken to him. They probably don't want to make it public if he is no longer able to do his job, since Kentucky has a Democratic governor who would appoint his replacement.

What really riles me is how the R's break the rules in ways that can be so easily verified. Talk to the guy's neighbours - they've probably been aware of this for years. After all, he's supposed to be representing them, so where is he?
