Imagine your mind as a garden and thoughts as the seeds you plant. Habitual
negative, unhealthy, self-critical thoughts produce the weeds and thistles of
depression, discontent, and anxiety in the garden of your mind. Luckily, the
opposite is also true. Consistently planting positive, healthy, constructive
thoughts will yield a crop of beautiful feelings, such as gratitude, love, and joy.

I'm laughing and partly because I live about 75 miles west of the river bridge taking you into Missouri. Many people from the town I live in drive to the city of St. Louis or close-by suburbs to work as well as many people going over to shop.

Exactly what it cost for me to get gas last time I filled up. Since I bought my 2011 (several yrs. ago now) Chevy Equinox I have always filled up when i got to half a tank.

Still and always will remain amazed at statements (that seem so very, very true) like this. How many yrs. I existed in my 'ignorant' bliss never realizing how many of the above types there really were.

WATCH: GOP Senator Gets His A*s Handed To Him When He Tries To Slag Chicago

Louisiana Republican Sen. John Kennedy made a complete fool of his himself today during a
Senate
hearing on the causes of gun-related crime when he attempted to suggest that the city of Chicago had become a “shooting gallery.
Kennedy was questioning Dr. Megan Ranney of the Yale School of Public Health when he suggested that crime isn’t rising in Chicago as a result of law-abiding residents carrying guns, but rather is because liberal prosecutors are letting dangerous felons run free.
That led Ranney to remind the senator that his home state of Louisiana could also be called a “shooting gallery.”
“Mississippi, Louisiana, and Missouri actually have higher firearm death rates.”
Ranney is absolutely right. Louisiana has one of the highest murder rates in the United States, with 21.3 homicides per 100,000 people in 2021, according to
figures from
the National Center for Health Statistics. The only state with a higher rate is next door in Mississippi, which has 23.7 homicides per 100,000 people.
Despite Ranney’s facts, Kennedy asked, “What about Chicago?”
Ranney: “I don’t live in Chicago,” she replied. “It’s not my primary area of research.”
She added that crime in cities such as Chicago is likely caused by “easy access to firearms” and “lack of great education.”

This one if for fun, but holy cow — it does seem this wasn't well thought out.

BREAKING: Justice hits MAGA world hard as an infamous January 6th insurrectionist — a former California police chief — is sentenced to a whopping 11 years in prison for his crimes.
Alan Hostetter, the anti-American rioter in question, was convicted of four charges including obstruction of an official preceding and trespassing with a deadly weapon.
He planned for months to obstruct the Electoral College vote count on January 6th and said that he believed the 2020 election was stolen and required a "reckoning" and "justice."
"President Trump must be inaugurated on January 20th, and he must be allowed to finish this historic job of cleaning out the corruption in the cesspool known as Washington, D.C." Hostetter said to a group of Trump supporters.
"The enemies and traitors of America, both foreign and domestic, must be held accountable. And they will," he went on. "There must long prison terms, while execution is the just punishment for the ringleaders of this coup."
In a different, equally deranged speech, he said that he wanted members of Congress to fear that "those five million people outside the walls are gonna drag us out by our hair and tie us to a f*cking lamp post."
On January 6th, he came armed with tactical gear, a hatchet, knives, pepper spray, and other supplies. He used a bullhorn to urge the other insurrectionists on like a general.
"The people have taken back their house. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a beautiful sight in my whole life," he said in a video recorded on the Capitol terrace. "We’ve been sitting here quietly for years, watching this corruption unfold. Hundreds of thousands of patriots showed up today to take back their government."
This man is a danger to democracy and deserves every year in prison that he's been hit with.
Once again we see a beautiful fact about this country: MAGA crime doesn't pay.0 -
