CT scan

Hi,

For over 6 months, I’ve been having rib pain On my lower left side. I has an X-ray and bone scan- all normal today I had a CT scan with contrast and I got my results: “ hypodense cystic lesion on spleen with well circumscribed margins. Appears benign but probably cause of rib pain”.

This was a simple cyst last year and has grown a cm since. Is this something than can actually be cancer or turn into cancer. Still waiting on hess see ring from dr to see if there’s anything to do for this or next steps.

The term appears benign doesn’t give me full confidence
