How to fill out your Profile to let others know more about you!

Our community is built on connections and shared experiences. So, we’re excited to announce we’ve made it easier for you to learn much more about each other with our NEW Member Profile!

Filling out your profile benefits you and others by allowing registered members to compare your information with theirs and create a connection. Only other registered members can view your profile.

If you choose to, you can now share your:

• location
• time zone
• occupation
• ethnicity
• personal website
• breast cancer experience
• diagnostic and treatment information
• other personal and medical information

Here’s an example of what a filled out, public profile might look like:

Here’s how to update and share your Profile:

1. Access Your Breastcancer.org Profile dashboard using the Quick Links menu on the right of your screen (or at the bottom of the screen on mobile).
2. In the navigation bar on the left of the resulting screen, click Settings.
3. Scroll down to the Personal Information section and click Edit.
4. Fill out any field you’d like to, and make sure you choose your preferred Privacy setting. Note: Only fields marked “Public” will display in your Profile.
5. Once finished, click Save.

We’re still improving the process to share your diagnostic and treatment information on your Profile page. In the meantime, we’d encourage you to share this information by filling out the Biography field under Personal Information, with as much info as you’d like to share. You can also make it easy by copy and pasting your Post Signature into this field. You can learn how to create and access your post signature here [Link to how to].

If you’d also like to share where you are in your breast cancer circumstance (In Treatment, Finished with Treatment, etc.) and other medical information, you can do so by following steps 1 and 2 above and then:

1. Scroll down to the Medical Information section and click Edit.
2. Fill out any field you’d like to, and make sure you choose your preferred Privacy setting. Note: Only fields marked “Public” will display in your Profile.
3. Once finished, click Save.
