Need to reinstate my life insurance - any hope?

The reasons don't matter, but I missed making my annual premium payment on my life insurance policy - taken out in 2014, 4 years after my first dx. My policy is now lapsed.

I had a recurrence in 2021 and I am terrified the company won't reinstate my policy, and that I will be uninsurable.

Has anyone else dealt with something similar? I'll be filling out the paperwork to try for reinstatement today, but it would help to hear from others so I can manage my expectations. Thanks.
