Nurse Navigator

I am meeting with a different radiologist to go over my biopsy results. The appointment is listed under "Nurse Navigator" in My Chart. This doesn't sound good, right? What questions do I need to ask? Already crying. Worried.

    Hi @alexandra86,

We're just checking in to see how you're doing since your diagnosis. Have you learned any more about your treatment? How can we best support you?

Also, we'd suggest perhaps starting a new thread in the Just Diagnosed forum where others can weigh in with experiences and advice as you navigate your care.

Let us know how you're doing. Thinking of you!

I was so relieved to see this message in my email! Every message is a literal lifeline! I am out there drowning, and suddenly I have a life preserver!!! Thank you! I have been busy reading my book about breast cancer (about halfway through, skipping chapters that I am not ready for etc.) Also, I reconnected with an old, but true friend , who had a double masectomy, and her advice and kindness has really helped me. I will check out the Just Diagnosed thread. Again, thank you. I am not alone!!!

Hello @alexandra86. I’m just seeing your thread here tonight and wanted to say Hi. It’s been one year for me and I had a mastectomy. I also had invasive ductal carcinoma (IDC). Having someone in your life who has been through this will be a wonderful support! I’m really glad you have your friend. I think you’ll find that everyone here is great with answering our questions and giving practical advice. You definitely are not alone!!!
