Single Hormone Status- IDC (ER+ PR- and Her2-) Newly Diagnosed

Hi! I am new here :) I was diagnosed 12/31/2024. So far I have had mammogram/US→ biopsies → diagnosed → MRI → results → Met with a Sugerical Oncologist → Currently waiting on oncotype results (from biopsy sample.) and I have a follow up with OS/Plastics this coming Monday.

I have a large span of DCIS and 1.4cm IDC - both in right breast. All imaging thus far says no lymph node involvement.

I met with the surgical oncologist and he said 90% likely my plan would be surgery and hormone therapy. However he did want to send off a sample of my biopsy to get oncotype results. He said sometimes they like to do chemo prior to surgery to see if it works.

Note: I am ER + 100%, PR-, Her2 - (IDC.) The DCIS portion is ER 100%, PR 52%, Her2-. Grade 2, no BRCA gene.

Everything I read is that PR- is very likely to have a HIGH oncotype. Which if this is the case I guess I would get chemo first.

I am 38, pre- menapausal.

My question is…. has anyone had the same hormone status (ER+, PR-, Her2-) and had a LOW oncotype? I can do chemo if I need to, but he acted like it was unlikely, but everything I've ready online says it is very likely.

I had PR-. My oncoscore was 17. So since I am postmenopausal that score meant I didn't need chemo.
