Pre surgery questions and aftercare

I met with the consultant yesterday and he told me the results from my second biopsy (on a 2nd lump that showed up on MRI) came back as non cancerous, but atypical cells. He is awaiting further investigation on that biopsy.

I thought this was positive news because now l can get booked in for surgery.

I wanted to ask if anyone knows of any questions I should ask, or they wish they had covered during the pre surgery consultation?

I am also beginning to wonder how my recovery will look. I am a single parent with an 8 and 9 year old. I wondered if anyone had any advice on how to get through this. All I have come up with is that I will fill my freezer with batch cooking and buy my groceries online.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Are you having a lumpectomy or mastectomy? The surgical experience and recovery will vary depending on the type of surgery.
