One year into this and noticed something new

Hi all so last January I had a biopsy due to microscopic calcifications in my left breast that were grouped and suspicious, the results came back radial scar with hyperplasia, my breast surgeon suggested lumpectomy in Feb, those results showed radial scar with atypical ductal hyperplasia. My dr had put me on the high risk screening protocol. I had a mri in October 2024 which showed an ill formed mass near nipple, another biopsy and results showed sclerosing intraductal papilloma with hyperplasia. Dr decided to leave it and continue with high risk screening. Next mri is April 2nd 2025. However the past few weeks I’ve been having pain and like a pulling sensation in my left breast only, and just a few days ago when my nipple is soft and relaxed I notice when I raise my arm indentation around my nipple, also noted when laying flat on back my nipple pulls inward with indents on aereola. I am seeing my Dr next week but I’m nervous and wanted some advice from you lovely ladies. Thank you for reading this & appreciate any thoughts or experiences you can share.
much love.

Hi @charchar8, I'm sorry that you are having new symptoms. You are doing the right thing by consulting your doctor next week. While the radial scar and ADH are benign they occur in a tissue environment that is favorable for cancer. It may be another benign lesion but it is good to get it checked now rather than waiting for April. It's hard not to worry but by being proactive anything that needs treatment will be caught early. Let us know how it turns out. All the best.

all the best for your next check up and at least you know you are being monitored closely and no doubt they could move your next scan forward if you are having new symptoms. I understand the worry and anxiety you would be experiencing, make sure you take time to care for yourself and it sounds like you have a good medical team looking after you. Keep us posted with how you go.
